About

DAVE KOZ IN CONCERT:

When Dave Koz takes the stage, all is quiet as the audience intently listens to every pure note from the seasoned saxophonist. Playing both tenor and alto sax, his fingers glide across the instrument with an ease that can't be matched. Whether he's performing chart-topping hits like "Life In the Fast Lane" and "Put the Top Down" or launching into an epic solo, Koz's grace on the woodwind instrument is exceptional, full of trills, thrills, and spontaneity during his hit-filled set lists. Dave Koz returns to the stage in 2014 for his upcoming Summer Horns tour as well as a string of highly anticipated shows with Barry Manilow.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Starting out in his high school's jazz band, Dave Koz fell in love with the saxophone early on, deciding to pursue music full time after graduating from college. He landed on tour with Bobby Caldwell not long after and served as a studio musician in the '80s before launching his breakout solo career. Since then, Koz has released 15 studio albums — eight of which have reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Jazz chart — and four No. 1 jazz singles. Not only is the nine-time Grammy nominee a sensational saxophonist, but he's also a radio personality, television host, and philanthropist, serving as a Global Ambassador for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Koz will delight fans with his smooth jazz sounds on his upcoming tour dates.

  • Artist plus atmosphere were awesome

by DECB on 7/24/18Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

Dave Koz & Friends gave an awesome enjoyable show. That along with being under the stars could not have been better. Props to Richard Elliot with his standing ovations. Would give 5 stars if all the stalls in bathroom were operating.

  • Best Summer Concert Period

by TCRidley on 7/24/18Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Summer Horns II was the best Summer Concert this year. Dave Koz did an outstanding job with assembling this group of musicians. Gerald Albright was excellent as always along with Rick Braun, Aubrey Logan and Hawley the guitarist. However, Ricard Elliot stole the show with his rendition of Michael Jackson's Earth. If you see any concert this summer, you must see this one. It was unforgettable.

  • Amazing Performance!

Regardless of where I listen and watch Dave Koz and Friends perform its always a treat, however! Being at Cain Park on a nearly perfect night made it alllll the better.

  • I LOVE Dave Koz (&summer horns!)

Dave always, always puts on such an entertaining show! He really is the consummate performer & he is also such a wonderful promoter other's talents. You can hear his smile when he does his radio show. Cain Park was a great venue for Summer Horns show.

Dave Koz and friends were awesome! I loved the concert, venue was nice but shuttle service sucked, although the driver himself was great, nice man.

  • 1 of the 2 best concerts I have ever attended

by glocoat on 7/24/18Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to many concerts in my life, this was one of the 2 best, and I might add at both I had FRONT ROW seats (always do that if you can LOL). This was amazing, and I am not that easy to please. If this concert is coming to your city (or close), PLEASE GO, you will not be disappointed. It was an 11 out of 10. Unbelievable, unforgettable, would go again tonight if they were still in Cleveland (or close)......Oh, my other best ever concert was one of Miles Davis's last. So if I say this was 1 of 2 best it means something BIG. Thank you guys, you did good, you made us feel BIG too.

  • Dave Koz & friends @ Cain Park

by ShawnKSr on 7/24/18Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Terrific show. Entertainers really worked hard to entertain & did a terrific job. Would make a trip again to see them & others at Cain Park. Altho' just one slight complain. Aubrey Logan of the group announced that lotsa people are taking pics w/their cell phones if they can post them online to their twitter feed, YET the cameras are prohibited at the venue. They really should allow small non-professional cameras, no tripods & no flashes. Most of the audience members are 45yrs & up, mostly seniors like I am (73+). We'd like to share memories, instead of Googling for pics of the artists (who does that?). Do ease the rules like other venues, please. Thanx.

by DBHORN on 7/9/18Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand OaksRating: 5 out of 5

The entire experience was outstanding- from the pleasant volunteer ushers to the concert itself. The venue was very clean and easy to get to from the parking garage, which was located on the facility. The horn section Dave Koz organized was unbelievable, as expected. Looking forward to the next jazz concert there!
