About

Daryl Hall is a modern-day renaissance man, an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the star of his very own award-winning web series, Live from Daryl's House, as well as a successful venue owner with "Daryl's House," a restored venue and live music space in Pawling, N.Y.

The Philadelphia soul man is still achieving career milestones more than four decades later, continuing to perform with his band to sold out venues everywhere.

It's been quite a decade for Hall, including the opening of "Daryl's House," a combination world-class restaurant and performance venue, which he kicked off on October 31, 2014.  The popular venue also serves as home base for his multi award-winning Live from Daryl's House.  The show, which began as a "light bulb" moment for Hall when he launched it in 2007 as a free webcast, has set the standard for artist-initiated projects. The groundbreaking series provides a mix of legends and the next generation of superstars.  "Live From Daryl's House" streams on Daryl Hall's YouTube channel.

Previous episodes of Live From Daryl's House have featured a diverse mix of veteran and new performers from rock, soul, country and R&B including rock legends Sammy Hagar, Joe Walsh, Cheap Trick, Tommy Shaw, Kenny Loggins, Todd Rundgren, Nick Lowe, Dave Stewart and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top; soul and R&B artists The O'Jays, Aaron Neville, Aloe Blacc, Kandace Springs, Elle King, Wyclef Jean, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green, Booker T & The MGs, and Sharon Jones; big-league singer/songwriters such as Ben Folds, Rob Thomas, Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, Goo Goo Dolls' John Rzeznik and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump; country artists such as Shelby Lynne; and has helped break new acts like Fitz & The Tantrums, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Neon Trees, Johnnyswim,  Parachute and Anderson East.  The latest episodes of the show feature Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, Blackberry Smoke's Charlie Starr, Andy Grammer, Lisa Loeb, Robert Fripp, and Howard Jones.

Daryl Hall has come a long way, and he's still got plenty of mileage left in a career that's taken him from the streets of Philadelphia to the halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  The best is yet to come. For more information, please go to www.darylhall.com

    Disappointing

by StpDrummer on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Very disappointing. Sound problems including constant feedback and Daryl's guitar with no sound. The performance of the band members were as sloppy and unrehearsed as the equipment. I almost always enjoy live music even when I was never a fan of the group in the past or today. But this was just tough to sit through.

Daryl still has his voice, talent and charm and his guests were fabulous!! I had watched the show a few times and enjoyed it. The concert is modeled after the show but there is nothing so wonderful as live music!!

Live from Daryl's House is a must-see performance!

by BirbigsFan on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

The sound system started off terrible, but Daryl kept on asking them to fix it, and then even tweaked it himself to get it right. Once that was done, the show got even better! Amazing soulful performances from Daryl and his awesome band...the percussionist rocked! Great horns and a tight performance! Sharon Jones' voice was great, and she was a tiny ball of energy! Allen Jones...well, what can you say about that guy other than that he is AMAZINGLY TALENTED! He looks like Where's Waldo got caught in the grunge scene, but he sounds incredible. He's got some funk! Loved the performance...could've done without the cheesesteak video...but would see it all over again if I could!

    Live at Daryl's House

by winterwhiteiris on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I've loved Daryl and his beautiful voice, music and lyrics through the years - this was my 3rd time seeing him perform live. I also enjoy the Live at Daryl's House episodes - the venue is great and I appreciate how his music is collaborated with other veteran and new artists. BUT, the concept didn't translate well for me on the stage. I wanted to hear more of Daryl's music (and NOT his top 40 stuff) and less of his guests, altho Ms Sharon Stone was a hoot. Also, the sound mix was off - the bass too loud.

    Way to loud

by jjkryzer on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

It would have been AMAZING, but the sound was way to loud and distorted. Alot of feed back. Also, Security people were pains

Should be called "Church of Daryl!"

    by Sylvia387 on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

What an amazing evening of just perfect MUSIC! Daryl's voice, even with a cold, is as silky smooth as that full head of hair he's got! Sharon Jones and Allen Stone were icing on the cake....texturing the sound of Daryl and his musicians.

    good, real, music

by Odonata on 4/20/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I hadn't watched the show, I was there because I was taking someone who is a fan. But I like music, I like concerts, and I like ensemble groups. The energy was awesome, very real, very genuine, it was a professional, yet incredibly relaxed show. I liked the music, and the energy. The audience demographic is entertaining - old enough to know who Daryl Hall is, savvy enough to use the internet. And people got into it, especially for MN. Yay audience for trying to dance and clap!! We need more of that around here. The only miss for me is that it got a little jam sessiony at times, but that's just a preference thing for me. Good show, glad I went.

    Great musicians coming together ...

    by Tbone423 on 4/20/12Orpheum Theater - Minneapolis

The show was amazing, very tight, the musicians played intuitively and were able to improvise on a seconds notice. Daryl's voice at 65 is no different than it was nearly 30 years ago... It wasn't a greatest hits show but a show that highlighted Daryl's tastes and showcased the voices of friends who are extremely talented! Daryl is a giving musician who is unselfish in praise and/or sharing the spotlight with others....

    Outstanding!

by DaveTheGuitarPlayer on 4/20/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

As much as I would've enjoyed a couple more signature/classic tunes from Daryl, every song performed that night was awesome. Daryl, the guest artists, and the killer band all provided a simply phenomenal show. The bottom line with live music is: even if you don't know the tunes, so long as the band and the songs are great, you're guaranteed to have a great time. I just wish LFDH could be like a monthly live show! New guests each time around, etc!

Live From Daryl's House with Sharon Jones

by suburbanlitlady on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The audience could not sit down past the first song. People were dancing in the aisles, and there were standing ovations after almost every song. Daryl has drunk from the fountain of youth. His energy and stamina were incredible. His show has introduced a wonderful cross-generational concept to the music industry. His band and guest artists performed flawlessly. It felt like the audience couldn't get enough of the older Daryl songs, but loved whatever he sang from "Laughing Down Crying." This will be a very successful tour for Daryl and his band. Can't wait till they return to Chicago!!!!

    Definitely A Go!

by Mewf on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Venue moved from Congress Theater to The Vic.Guess they couldn't sell a lot, but hey it just made it more intimate! I was 20 feet away from the band. Guest musicians were phenomenal, good to see the guy that have been with Daryl over 30 years, and man, was it great! Would definitely recommend!

Live from Daryl's House with Sharon Jones

    by IXTAPA13 on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The show was energetic and all musicians performed extremely enthused. I liked the fact that the venue was moved to the Vic theatre (cozier crowd). We had very good seats.

    Daryl Hall..Class act

by EQDude on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Daryl Hall's Chicago show was fantastic! I was not real thrilled about the venue change, (Auditorium to the Vic ), but seats were great and the overall experience was well worth it. After being a musician for the past 35 years, it was nice to sit and watch top notch musicianship and vocal capabilities for an evening, what Daryl has done with Live from Daryl's House is a musicians dream....and he should be commended for his efforts! His vocals were very good that night, and the band was exceptionally tight...the only criticism would be that the soundman had some problems with feedback in the upper range, but with that many mikes on stage in a small venue,,,it's bound to happen. Overall, a show not to be missed! Great job Daryl..keep it up!

    Daryl and friends were awesome!

by groovefan on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

My husband and I were excited that Live from Daryl's House was coming to Chicago as we are regular viewers of Daryl's web show. We were not disappointed. His voice is still amazing and I can't say enough great things about Sharon. She just grooves. Daryl's other guest, Allen Stone was also great. The band kicked butt. We would see Daryl again in a heartbeat.

    Daryl Hall's still got it!

    by Philmore60611 on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I was excited to check out this show, because Daryl Hall's hit solo album fascinated me when it came out in 1986. I was happy to find out that Daryl still can sing well after all these years. He still has the powerful voice he always did, and it's awesome! The concert was mostly made up of tracks from his new album, and there was also an appearance by Sharon Jones for a couple of songs. He also performed the classic "Every Time You Go Away." At the end of the show, Daryl performed two Hall & Oates classic hits, "I Can't Go For That" and "You Make My Dreams Come True." Keep up the good work, Daryl!

    Daryl's House Rocks with Jones!

by mfbraun on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Along with a 24 yr old singer/songwriter and Sharon jones, the cable show got itself on the road and no better place to play than the Vic, NOT the Auditorium, in Chicago! Had the spirit of the show brought live and in such an intimate theater built for rock; Wow!!!

    Different

    by Racer5004 on 4/18/12Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

My wife and I had not seen "Live from Daryl's House" on tv so we didn't know what to expect. The band was awesome, Daryl's voice is still amazing and overall was a great experience. If you are looking to hear Hall and Oates tunes this is not the show for you. That being said I would still highly recommend seeing this show.
