About

Daryl Hall is a modern-day renaissance man, an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the star of his very own award-winning web series, Live from Daryl's House, as well as a successful venue owner with "Daryl's House," a restored venue and live music space in Pawling, N.Y.

The Philadelphia soul man is still achieving career milestones more than four decades later, continuing to perform with his band to sold out venues everywhere.

It's been quite a decade for Hall, including the opening of "Daryl's House," a combination world-class restaurant and performance venue, which he kicked off on October 31, 2014.  The popular venue also serves as home base for his multi award-winning Live from Daryl's House.  The show, which began as a "light bulb" moment for Hall when he launched it in 2007 as a free webcast, has set the standard for artist-initiated projects. The groundbreaking series provides a mix of legends and the next generation of superstars.  "Live From Daryl's House" streams on Daryl Hall's YouTube channel.

Previous episodes of Live From Daryl's House have featured a diverse mix of veteran and new performers from rock, soul, country and R&B including rock legends Sammy Hagar, Joe Walsh, Cheap Trick, Tommy Shaw, Kenny Loggins, Todd Rundgren, Nick Lowe, Dave Stewart and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top; soul and R&B artists The O'Jays, Aaron Neville, Aloe Blacc, Kandace Springs, Elle King, Wyclef Jean, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green, Booker T & The MGs, and Sharon Jones; big-league singer/songwriters such as Ben Folds, Rob Thomas, Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, Goo Goo Dolls' John Rzeznik and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump; country artists such as Shelby Lynne; and has helped break new acts like Fitz & The Tantrums, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Neon Trees, Johnnyswim,  Parachute and Anderson East.  The latest episodes of the show feature Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, Blackberry Smoke's Charlie Starr, Andy Grammer, Lisa Loeb, Robert Fripp, and Howard Jones.

Daryl Hall has come a long way, and he's still got plenty of mileage left in a career that's taken him from the streets of Philadelphia to the halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  The best is yet to come. For more information, please go to www.darylhall.com

    Silver Legacy poor venue

by AP on 11/8/23Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

The performance was great. The venue not so much. It is a convention center set up for a concert. The sound engineer was terrible. Both Todd and Daryl were continually talking directly to him to fix the poor sound quality with zero cooperation. They sounded like a transister radio. I will not be returning to the Siver Legacy.

    Rundgren?

by mixegti on 11/7/23Silver Legacy Casino Reno - Reno

Vocals absolutely SUCKED at this venue for Rundgren. Hall had to yell the sound guy how to tune the mics during his performance. Even still, Rundgren came on again and he was still just BAAD. Go to the show late and see Hall. Skip Rundgren.

Todd was incredible. Took awhile for Daryl to catch up

by JudyR on 11/7/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

I looked forward to Todd Rundgren's show (I've seen him before) and wasn't disappointed. He was just great. So much passion and talent. He related to the audience immediately and warmly. Daryl Hall took time to warm up to the crowd and the show. Eventually he had the place rocking too. Daryl came alive behind the piano after a slow start with guitar. Their band was outstanding. I would say that Todd was the true star of the program, with Daryl a close second. Both had fantastic vocal performances, always a concern for older performers. The venue was lovely and we had a dry, cold fall evening in Paso Robles. Plus free parking. Thank you Vina Robles.

    Vocals

by L2 on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Let me say the band was great. But vocals of Tod and Daryl were not very good. I guess with age voices not what they once were. I say Hall and Oates guess it was 2016 and vocals where still great. But other then that the show was good. The venue was very nice, this was the first time at this venue and loved it.

    Disappointing…

by RockinRick on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Do you have a favorite Daryl Hall song? He was an amazingly prolific artist with many hits over a period of years. He is currently touring with Todd Rundgren and the ‘Live at Daryl’s House’ band, who backed both artists. As a big fan, of Daryl and this band, I was excited for the concert. Rundgren, as the opening act, played for over an hour…far too long for me. Though a talented producer and musician, he has very limited appeal. After a short break, Hall took the stage to a very enthusiastic audience. At 77, his voice doesn’t have its former range, but he’s still a soulful and amazing singer. Unfortunately, his dissatisfaction with the monitor mix was very distracting, as he constantly begged and berated the sound engineer to fix it. After just an hour, he and the band left the stage. They returned after a bit, with Rundgren. They performed another Rundgren song, plus a couple others, then Todd left the stage and Hall and his very fine band played a couple more, and it was over. I really can sing the praises of this group of musicians enough…they are fantastic. Here’s the thing. I recent years I’ve seen acts like The Eagles, The Doobie Bros, Paul McCartney, Elton John…each with a long list of hits. Each played for 3 hours without an opening act or break, and without disappointing their fans. Everybody heard the songs they came to hear. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said of this concert. Of his multitude of hits, he played just a few…maybe 4 or 5. That’s it. No ‘Rich Girl’, no ‘Maneater’…so many were left out I had to listen to them on the way home. I mean, it’s not like it was a total waste. Vina Robles is a beautiful venue, it was a lovely evening, the LADH band absolutely rocks, and what they did play was awesome…they just didn’t play enough. Maybe having the same backing musicians for both acts is too much? Maybe he was mad about the sound? Maybe the venue has a curfew? I don’t know. I just know that when I saw ZZ Top here, they played EVERYTHING people wanted to hear. I know a performance should leave you wanting more, but this wasn’t what I felt. I just felt cheated. Do you have a favorite Daryl Hall song? If so, you probably didn’t hear it Thursday.

    Retire

by Carrcuss on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

I grew up listening to Daryl Hall and John Oats. That was in the 80's. I felt like Daryl was milking his fame for every penny. In my opinion he should hang it up and retire. We left half way thru the show because it sounded terrible.

    Disappointing

by Mmusickfan on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

The sound system was terrible. Feedback could be heard throughout Todd and Daryl’s performance. The band sounded great and their backup vocals sounded good and clear. But Tod and Daryls vocals were fuzzy and garbled which combined with their weak cracking voices were horrible. It was the first concert in my 50 years of concert going that I almost walked out on. They need to retire or hire lead vocalists.

    Daryl still has it.

by 247 on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

Daryl was awesome Todd not so much. Todd's time has passed. Daryl can still sing. He's animated and interacts with the crowd. Unfortunately he brought Todd back on. We left. I've watched several Daryl's house and have enjoyed it very much but Todd's voice is hard on the ears. Am glad I went and had a good time.

Loved Daryl Hall, his stage set and his voice!

by Robin on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

It was a great setting and the weather was great as well. It would be nicer though if they had a big screen so you can have a clearer and better view of the band/singer.

    Just OK

by Hoping4Better on 11/5/23Vina Robles Amphitheatre - Paso Robles

The sound system and music mixing left much to be desired. Volume and treble level on lead voices was excessive and sounded like it was coming from inside a can. This covered up the fine music that was being played by the House Band. All in all ... a disappointing listening experience. Rungren play list was OK but out of sequence ... best songs were not saved until last. D Hall play list was just OK and lacked many of the hits attendees were hoping to hear.

The selection of songs were horrible Mr hall has enough hits he didn’t need to become a cover band People pay to hear hits from 70’s & 80’s which didn’t happen he literally only played approximately 5 of he’s hits Left concert wanting to hear all of them Concert could have been better

    A sleeper

by RLW on 11/2/23Humphreys Concerts By the Bay - San Diego

Todd was OK, stage too small for his dancing around. As least some upbeat music. Daryl was terrible, keep talking about his new album and singing songs he and a buddy wrote 40 years ago. He stuck himself in the corner of the stage behind a piano and sang old songs nobody wanted to hear. He put me to sleep. Also, my electronic ticket did not work at the gate. The readers would not connect to my phone, had to go to the box office and tried suggestions to get the electronic ticket to read. The box office finally just let me in. The whole night was a waste of time and money
