About

Hall & Oates in Concert

Pop rock legends Hall & Oates blended R&B, soul, and new wave influences to fabulous effect in the '80s, resulting in some of the decade's most iconic and beloved songs. Oozing with originality and craftsmanship, No. 1 hits like "Maneater" and "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)" sound as fresh today as they did 30 years ago, eliciting collective swoons from audiences at their 2013 live concerts. With an induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, the boys have remained in peak form, treating audiences around the US to a string of highly anticipated concerts since then.

Fans who bought tickets say:

"Just another Hall & Oates show....FRIGGN AWESOME! Those guys blew it out like they always do. Can't wait for the next one."

"H & O are just as animated as they were 20 years ago! Exploding on the stage playing a great variety of fan favorites."

"Loved it all. 2 encores and ending with Private Eyes - AWESOME!!"

Hall & Oates Background

After meeting at Philadelphia's Temple University in the late '60s, Daryl Hall and John Oates left their respective bands and joined forces as a duo, releasing Whole Oats, their first record as Hall & Oates, in 1972. Following relatively moderate success in the '70s, the band hit their stride in 1980 with Voices, which contained their first No. 1 single "Kiss on My List." 1981 follow-up Private Eyes was an even bigger success, spawning two No. 1 singles and kicking off one of the most impressive chart runs of the '80s. Named the No. 1 duo of all time by Billboard Magazine, Hall & Oates continue to perform and record, making their much-deserved entry into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

by Mauimom on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

I have seen Hall & Oates before and it was great!! This concert was just ok. Acoustics seemed off. Also, they only played little more than an hour. Disappointed.

by StaceyB on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Hall and Oates…. Fabulous entertainers!!!! The music was popular, on point, and exciting! I brought my husband and 19 year old daughter. We were singing along, dancing, laughing. The nugget has an outdoor stage. The weather was perfect. Would pay to see them again!!!!

    Disappointed

    by Terri on 10/24/22

This show was outside on a windy Saturday night (10/22/22), in Laughlin. Bought our tickets. We were in section 108, row L. There was no sloping, the screens were to low and you couldn't see. The vocals were terrible and the band was out of tune. Paid $300.00 for two tickets and felt ripped off. There was no parking at the venue, you had to ride a bus from the casinos and they were not prepared for this. In line at 6:15 and didn't make it until 7:20 and show started at 7. No warm up band. Lax security, people standing in the aisles. We felt ripped off. Save your money and just listen to their records. Only played for 90 minutes, including the encore. Very disappointing concert. They were great in their day but it isn't their day anymore.

    Sound system needs help

by Rocko on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

We Loved Hall & Oats! We sat in section 301, the sound system was not good. I think you need to add more speakers for all upper areas?

    Excellent show!

by Robbie on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Quick walk from The Nugget, lots of drink and snacks available, nice staff. Then great sound and lighting, big screens for watching, and wonderful songs, done like the originals, with Hall and Oates singing like the old days. Crowd loved it, with everybody dancing. Can’t wait to see them again, and will be going back to see Brooks and Dunn in April, since we loved the venue,”Nugget Event Center”.

    Overall pretty good!

by Nitghttrn on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Venue and parking was great! Sound was a little off. But that could have been the 300 sections elevation contributing to that. It was pretty full a d that was good to see! Seemed a little bit shorter than I would have expected consodering all of their hits. It seems that Hall and Oates do not get along all that well. I do not believe much practice was done before the shows. Oates the the band were SOLID! Hall seemed to be doing his own thing. Some songs were a little difficult to recognize for a few bars or verses! But overall it was an enjoyable experience and the price was right on par.

by DD on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Ok..so bleachers are not great anyways..but these seats were smashed in so tight i couldn't even move my arms. Then, Hall was singing the right lyrics but changed all the songs. Didnt even sound like the same songs. And hus voice was weird too. And no encore. Weak

    Could have been better

by VSQ on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

I've loved their music for decades and last saw them 11yrs ago and remembered how awesome the show was. Sorry to say that this show wasn't of the same caliber. First off, they started about 20 min late. On the screen we saw video of them which upped the anticipation. When they finally came on stage, they started strong, but after an hour, it seemed like they were running out of steam. Daryl Hall's voice seemed more strained and tired. They did a quick encore and quickly exited- stopping at 8:45 instead of 9.

Aging vocals and lazy event staff

by JT on 10/24/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

    1. Daryl Hall doesn't have the voice to be doing concerts anymore. 2. The nugget event center staff did a terrible job of keeping the aisles clear. I didn't buy good seats to have people walk down from other sections and stand in the aisle in front of me. 3. The show was a little over an hour long. Seems kinda short to me.

    The’re Shot

by Long time fan on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Im a long time H&O fan. Love their music and was excited for their show. Unfortunately they just don’t have it anymore. Unless they can find a replacement Philipino singer, it’s not worth it seeing them live.

    Great Band a terrible venue

by Burdog on 10/23/22Nugget Event Center - Sparks

Hall and Oats were amazing but the Nugget needs to get its act together!!! No signs or directions on where to park, no info that the lots were full. No signs directing you to the venue and incredibly long lines at will call. Sound was ok but there was no slope to the seating so you couldn’t see over the people in front of you. Do not plan on ever attending again!!
