We adore Darren and we had such a great time at the show! One of the most memorable nights for us for sure! Our first time seeing him live/his show and we surely hope to see it again! He is truly remarkable and beyond talented! An absolute dream come true, as we are huge fans and really enjoyed it with all our hearts. I think the tickmaster experience in itself was relatively easy and pretty reliable overall. Would have been nice to pick precise seats that were more a bit more specific and more accessible for our needs especially at this particular venue! Nonetheless, it was a truly wonderful experience and incredible show - wonderful kick off for the holiday season and like I said, it was truly like a dream come true! We adored the show and are honestly still in a state of bliss from our experience! Truly phenomenal! We love you Darren!!!
Darren is the most talented musician live! Endlessly entertaining, nostalgic, and overall so fun to hear him sing. I loved the in-depth talks about why he chose to record each song and the process behind recording itself. I’ll support you forever man 🩵
If you’re a fan of Darren and unsure about a Christmas-specific show, I recommend you check it out! There’s something for everyone, and the music is in a variety of different styles! He’s very charismatic and consistently engages the audience! It’s an excellent show, and I’m definitely planning on going again next year!
If you’ve seen Darren before, you generally know what to expect. It had all the classics - a sailor mouth, forgetting lyrics, and going off on multiple tangents in between songs. Darren is always a joy to see, and hearing him dive into his production choices for his music is always so interesting and informative, and you will walk away feeling as though you just spent 2 hours with a friend. He’s the best.
Very disappointing! The show was a lot of talking, swearing and poor musical choices. Don't waste your money. While a good singer, the show was not very Christmasy or fun.
Darren was very entertaining from beginning to end. He’s naturally charismatic, very funny, and a great performer. I would definitely go see him again soon.
The set, the songs & his charming personality. Loved it.
Darren is a great guy and an incredible performer! He is great with the audience and he sounds amazing live. I would 10/10 recommend going to see him if you ever get the chance!
I absolutely loved getting the chance to meet Darren and his performance was incredible! He is great with the audience and sounds amazing live, I would definitely recommend going to see him if you have the chance!
He seemed like a really nice person who could sing. However, he was very insecure and it showed so much it made us leave. He spoke so much, a couple of times he spoke for over 6 minutes and then sang a 3 minute song. He seemed to wanting to justify his decisions, songs and make out that he was very knowledgeable and a real artist. However, this was just a budget holiday show, that’s ok, don’t try to make it some deep, musical history lecture and instead just give a fun holiday show.
He's fantastic! What a wonderful way to greet the holiday season.
this was the most unforgettable experience i’ve ever had! i’m such a big fan of darren and he was such an angel! i will definitely meet him again if i am given the opportunity! the concert itself was also so so great and i hope it can become a yearly christmas tradition ❤️❤️
My first Darren Crissmas concert and I’m already counting down the days until next year. What a talent he is. I also liked the cozy story telling aspect that really made the album make so much more sense. Would recommend to all!
We are frequent patrons of the Count Basie and also love a good holiday show. The Basie Theatre was, of course, decked out beautifully. While we are fans of Darren Criss and really enjoy his acting and singing, we did think his banter was a bit much, and we did not expect the profanity. We're definitely not prudes, but it does change the vibe during a holiday show. The musicians in the band were really on point, and the music itself was fun. Best rendition of "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,"we've ever heard. Very jazzy. Different.
I had been a Darren fan since his Starkid/Glee days and have seen him in concert a handful of times, though it had been a few years. This was his first "Crissmas"concert I attended and it was my last. Probably last concert of his, full-stop. I know he's a talker, but that concert at The Town Hall was easily 2/3 talking, 1/3 singing. It was late on a Tuesday night and I have never been more tired or bored at one of his shows. His slow songs are supremely self-indulgent, which I am aware of. But it was getting later and later into the evening and as I looked among the crowd by where I was seated, it looked like everyone was ready to go home. The uptempo songs were great! The whole room came alive. He's such a wonderful singer, it was really a shame that the concert was just so incredibly underwhelming. But the whole 2 minutes of singing, 5-10 minutes of talking between songs was not appreciated or fun. Thank you for the years of music, Darren. But I'm done now.
Music was good. Tons of talking prior to every song (which made it feel alittle tedious). Good songs, just wish there was more. Best part of show was the encore when he played 3 songs right in a row.
He is an amazing performer/entertainer. Can’t wait for next year.
From the moment the show started, Darren Criss’ abundant charisma, enthusiasm and humor were apparent. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen! Entirely enjoyable, upbeat and memorable! Can’t wait to see him again! My 17 year old daughter and I both feel the same way and now we’re both crushing on Darren!!
The show was fun and entertaining, love the encore. Darren is a wonderful entertainer. Was not crazy about him saying he can use foul language because he was in New Jersey. Not everyone appreciates that kind of language. All and all, a good show.
