He was of course, brilliant, and even made a walk through the audience. After the show he took time to greet everyone for pics, signatures and makeout sessions. Just kidding on the makeout sessions, but isn't he totally a sweetheart? I got to touch the Tosh.

  • Daniel Tosh as expected

by Annonymous101 on 12/12/09Progress Energy Center Meymandi Concert Hall - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

Daniel Tosh was very funny as we expected from watching his DVDs. He was a bit off pace at points with an uncomfortably long silence here and there, but good none-the-less. I would recommend seeing him in person. If you are easily offended, don't go, you won't enjoy it.

Daniel Tosh was HILARIOUS! Seeing him live was fantastic! He knows how to put on a good show! The venue was great too. If you've see Tosh's show or his stand up on tv, it doesn't do him justice.. he's amazing live! And to top things off, he greeted every single fan, signed autographs, got pictures taken, cracked jokes with people. He stood and waited until everyone else was gone. Great guy! Great show! Will see him again and again!

  • Hilarious show

Awesome show! Despite that I had to drive quite a ways for this event and park on the side of a rather shady street because I couldn't find any cash and there were NO ATM's in the area, the performances were outstanding Matt Fulchiron put on an incredible opening act, and Daniel Tosh definitely delivered.

My wife and I became fans of Daniel Tosh when Comedy Central aired his stand up before the debut of his new show Tosh.0. We're big fans of the show but I've always thought his stand up was better. The live performance did not disappoint. In his stand up routines Tosh has the freedom to rant a little more, to chase off topic rabbit trail, tell rabbit jokes, and eventually find his way back to mocking whatever religion or politician or audience member he started with several minutes earlier. That would all make for a terrible speech, but as just about everything he says is laugh-out-loud funny, it makes for great comedy. One of my favorite Tosh-tricks happens when the comedian tells an off-color joke that pushes the limits of audience support, gets a reaction that mixes laughter with "Oooooo" and then turns it around on the audience by showing the bizarre hypocrisy in what is and is not over the line. I won't mention any jokes from the performance, but one that has already aired on his tv show involves the punchline that a Hispanic child having a big-wheels accident is not likely to have car insurance. The audience laughs at the racism, to which Tosh responds, "because he's a child!" with judgmental flair. It seemed that everyone enjoyed the show. There was quite a bit of improv about Raleigh, NC, and the architectural specifics of the theater. As a political liberal I felt right at home with Tosh's humor, much of which seems to call out inconsistencies in our moral judgments. I'm sure conservatives could appreciate it as well - like I say, everyone seemed to love the show. Though I take it that no died-in-the-wool Jesus freaks were in attendance. I doubt they could have appreciated the abortion jokes.

  • An evening of laughter

One of the best comedy shows I've ever been to. The opening act "Matt" was pretty good and Daniel had me in tears laughing so hard, more than a few times. Very intelligent humor with a few rough spots here and there. I would go again.

  • In your face comedy

by EveyH4 on 12/12/09Progress Energy Center Meymandi Concert Hall - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

Tosh opens with a disclaimer that he is not good live.... WOW! He is GREAT live! It did not seem like a comedy show; it seemed like we were just hanging out having a series of funny discussions. He's routine goes for the shock, in your face, laugh at social hypocracy. It was hilarious!

  • Daniel Tosh is great live.

He was very funny his whole set, which we found out has to be an hour contractually LOL. I think he went on for at least 80 minutes. Well worth the money. He has an act but also speaks on current events and can flip something an audience member says into a great bit.

I never knew kangaroos can't go in reverse! lol I'm a big fan. The opening act, Matt, was a great warm up!

I bought tickets for this show before I had heard of Daniel Tosh, and I have never been happier with a ticket purchase. The man is laugh-out-loud funny, his dry sense of humor is perfect, and his delivery is spot on. Most excellent!

  • Fantastic Show!

by Bizzy5 on 11/21/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Daniel Tosh really knows what he is doing and kept the whole audience going all night, even after he had already fulfilled his time slot he was going to finish all his jokes and that he did. Silly man at times seemed a little scatter brained but it really just made for a more humanistic view of him as a person and really made it easy to connect and laugh with him. As a comedian he is very aware of his audience, age group and what worked and I think he nailed his performance!

  • Tosh was hilarious

It was literally the funniest hour of my life! I found myself gasping for air after some of his jokes because i was laughing so hard!

  • Five seconds in...

by SMOKEYMAS80 on 11/20/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

Five seconds in an over-zealous audience member yells out, "I love you", to which Tosh responds,"I have no feelings for you". The material was current and surprisingly edgy. He has a talent for saying offensive things in a child-like manner. His delivery is sadistically charming and yet unrelentingly condesening. He is a mix of Jim Norton and Dane Cook, with a touch Jim Gaffigan.

Excellent venue..had great seats. Daniel Tosh seemed a little out of sorts at the beginning of the show. Maybe had a cold or something? He was lacking that enthusiasm and "sparkle" that I've seen on his DVD's. That being said though, I laughed really hard...a lot. I would definitely go to one of his show's again!
