About

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood into its own animated hit.

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers' famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children's series, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Soon after the show became a success on the small screen, it was given a makeover for the stage with the touring production Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood LIVE! Daniel and his friends (plus a few "surprise guests") make their way around the colorful neighborhood — to his school and house, the bakery and Music Man Stan's Music Shop — singing, dancing, and spreading their kindness all around. The fun is nonstop and the lighting and set design make for a bright and vibrant show — it truly feels like the animated characters have hopped right out of your television screen.

In 2017, the production returned with a brand-new story, in which Daniel becomes King for a Day and learns what's most important in his rise to the top: kindness. Audiences are encouraged to sing along and interact with all their favorite characters as their hometown theater becomes transformed into the enchanted Neighborhood of Make-Believe. The whole show runs for one hour and 15 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. It's the perfect way to introduce young children to the music and magic of live theater, all while learning some valuable lessons.

Daniel Tiger was a smash with our 2 1/2 year old!!

by pac82 on 3/1/16Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

Absolutely loved this show!! Our son has loved Daniel Tiger for some time....in the weeks leading up to this show, we kept telling him he was going to get to see the "real" Daniel Tiger soon....The show was absolutely great, and he couldn't get enough! He was leaning forward in awe the entire show, and asked Daniel to "come back!" when the curtains finally closed!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone with a kid who loves this show!

    Very Loud show

by carlos1888 on 3/1/16Palace Theatre Columbus - Columbus

The show started well and the music and songs were good. After the break or intermission it seemed that the music got very loud ... I wished the play more songs that the kids knew because only 2, maybe 3 songs were recognizable from the entire show. The lights were good and it brought a different atmosphere to the show. The good actors were the mom, daniel, the cat and that was it.

My 3 year old nephew loved it. I think the Sesame Street shows are much more interactive though. He wanted to give Daniel tiger a hug and no opportunities for that either. Except for about 1 minute of Katerina going into the audience, none of the characters interacted with the children or engaged them in any audience participation. As long as the kids liked it that's all that matters though I guess.

    Super fun !!

by Momanee on 2/28/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

The celebrity circle seats are fantastic. It's nice to be within feet of the stage. However the included meet and greet was not worth the price. We literally had 20 seconds to walk up to the character , a employee takes pictures with your camera and they push you out. I don't expect much time since its after the show and the cast has things to do but my 3 year old wasn't even allowed to say hello to Daniel tiger and they were telling us to move. The pictures taken were blurry at best. The show was great however.

Daniel Tiger meet and greet could of been better

by brs46410 on 2/28/16Star Plaza Theatre - Merrillville

Went to show in Merrillville In. Show was great our daughter loved it, but we payed quit a bit extra for meet and greet. I knew the experience was going to be disappointing when I heard one of the staff tell everyone to have their came as out so we could get this done as quickly as possible. We rushed through line to have our picture taken with daniel tiger and then rushed out the door. Disappointing for the little one who was hoping to see other characters too. I don't recommend spending money on meet and greet.

Daniel Tiger was exciting for my grandson

by Coopsgma on 2/24/16Hershey Theatre - Hershey

I took my three year old grandson to see Daniel Tiger this past weekend. He danced in the aisle through the show. I enjoyed seeing the happiness in his eyes. The petformance was really good. We saw the Peppa Live show a few months back and I would recommend Daniel Tiger over that show.

    Short but Fun for Kids

by whatthehang on 2/23/16Hershey Theatre - Hershey

My granddaughters enjoyed the show, although it was pretty short for the price of ticket. But I suppose it was appropriate for the attention span of a 2 yr old. I did notice that a couple of the parts of the actors were played by the same people. Mr. McFeely was actually two other characters. Low budget I guess! Kids enjoyed it though, so thats all that mattered.

    Excellent show

    by Chatter21 on 2/23/16Hershey Theatre - Hershey

I thoroughly enjoyed this performance. I took my 3yr old daughter, who is an avid Daniel Tiger enthusiast, and she was absolutely thrilled to have experienced it. The show was about an hour and a half, 15 minute intermission included, so it was long enough to satisfy the cost, and short enough to keep her attention. I would highly recommend this show to all parents with a child or children who loves the tv show!

    Daniel Tiger Live was Grrrreat!

by SRSaff on 2/23/16Hershey Theatre - Hershey

My 18 month old son was absolutely mesmerized by the performance! I splurged for front row seats and it was worth it as there were many kids running around and some even crying. If you or your child has a short attention span, front row is the way to go! Some cons: No pictures were allowed to be taken in the theater. While I understand it may be distracting, I think non flash pictures should be allowed. I literally had a security guard not one foot from my knee (quite cozy) so even sneaking one was impossible. There was only two cardboard cut outs to take pictures with and the lines for each were terribly long. Think ancy, crying, and impatient toddlers here plus taking pictures with them....Yikes! Luckily there was one intermission, and LUCKILY we didn't have to use the restrooms! I couldn't even imagine! The seats in front were added to the pit so weren't quite as comfortable for that amount of time as the original seating. Also, in my opinion, I would have given more to the budget in order to have two actors playing Miss Elaina/Teacher Harriet. The actress who played them was marvelous, but it would have been nice to have them both in certain scenes. Prince Wednesday and Katerina KittyCat- while both actors were great at acting, they kind of missed the mark on capturing their characters. Mom Tiger was the best by far! Sets were fantastic! Overall glad we went as a family, but wished there was just more.

by FamilyParker on 2/23/16Hershey Theatre - Hershey

Loved the Daniel Tiger Neighborhood show. Full of all the favorite songs my son (and most of the kids around us) were singing along the whole time. Very interactive and captivating. We had a great time.
