Damien Escobar on Tour

World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Damien Escobar Live in Concert

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.

I enjoyed the show, and my seats in the 3rd row were perfect. It was my first time seeing Damien perform live and it was truly a treat. He was engaging, kept the crowd rocking with his music and I loved hearing him speak. I will definitely see him in the future.

  • Damien Escobar's concert

    by Cookie on 10/18/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Damien is an extraordinary performer. He plays his violin from his heart! He loves his fans and always gives positive vibes and invites you into his life, by sharing things he's overcome, and giving good life lessons in between a few songs. My favorite part was when he came out into the audience. As he played, he would stop, give hugs, took pics wuth audience members and signed some autographs! He changes the whole atmosphere! I've never experienced a concert like that. I'll never forget, and urge people check him out. He's definitely a positive force and he left a deep impression on my life. He is blessed and a blessing!

Wasn't expecting a leadoff band, but they were pretty good. Damien Escobar was a joy to watch and listen to. What a fantastic violin player, musician, and overall nice person. He was so down to earth and had a positive message for everyone. He's my favorite violinist ever!

  • Mesmerizing

    by Sherritta C. on 10/18/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

My significant other & I flew from Cali to Arizona for my birthday. We had purchased out tickets to see Damien because that's what I wanted to do. As soon as Damien hit the stage and began playing, my mister looked at me and said "I am amazed"! The show was outstanding!!!!! When he comes back to California, we will DEFINITELY be in attendance. My prayer is that God continues to bless him as he continues to bless us with his dynamic performance.

  • Amazing experience!!

by Cave Creek Nana on 10/18/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 5 out of 5

Damien’s performance in Tucson was amazing! I was so touched by his music and generous spirit. Damien left it all out there on the stage! And when he came out into the audience he took it to a new level. A young girl sitting behind me was so thrilled when Damien handed her his bow. I'm sure it's an experience she will always remember. Thanks to Damien for sharing his gift with us.

  • Not so great live

    by Sb on 10/18/22Rialto Theatre-Tucson - TucsonRating: 1 out of 5

We actually left early as he was not great live. We love his recorded music and listen to it often but in person it wasn’t great.

Damien was just what we expected. SPECTACULAR☺️😁. Ive never been so moved at a performance. My husband and I have been fans for the last eight years. So when we got tickets three years ago(2019), we were so excited. But then there was Covid, which caused our date to be rescheduled. Not once but three times. Finally(2022), we were able to experience Damien's gift live. Not only did he give us an emotional performance, he also blessed us with some words of wisdom. "Stop living in the past and trying to live in the future. You must live today. Today is you future." What a show. Cant wait to see Damien again💕🥰

  • Magical Evening

by MekaXZ2 on 9/2/22Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

By far one of my best Damien Escobar concert experiences, it has became a tradition to attend Damien's performances any time he's in my town. This time we had the pleasure of being seated at the table, which is a whole different experience. Stage side, the atmosphere, the connections with all of the performers, the vibe was perfect 🥰 being under the covering I wasn't concerned about any rain or any of the elements outdoors. This venue was chilled and relaxing.

  • Amazing Show!

by M. Scott on 8/31/22Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

Overall, the show was AMAZING! The level of talent and artistry that was showcased by each and EVERY performer that graced the stage was unparalleled. Their individual contributions to the show set the atmosphere for a magical experience. From the venue to the lighting to the hilarious host and of course the performers this show was definitely one to remember. The icing on the cake was how each artist came into the audience during their set and indulged the audience with up close and personal performances, selfies and videos! I hope these artist will grace the Mable House Barnes Amphitheater stage again real soon!

  • WOW!!! Great show!

by AH Macon on 8/31/22Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was the best show this year at Mablehouse. We have been to 6 shows there this year and this one was by for the most fun. I guess the other shows might have had more well known jazz artists but the energy level of this show was on another level. I hated that the ticket sales for this show were lower than the other shows (most of them were sold out) but I am so glad that we bought tickets. We saw Damien at the Sea Breeze Jazz Fest in April and enjoyed the show there as well. He is a great performer.

  • Amazing show! But inaccurate sale by Ticketmaster

by Jess on 8/30/22Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 4 out of 5

Absolutely amazing show, Damien Escobar is a performer to say the least and brings pure soul to the stage. Eric Darius was a huge added bonus! His energy and joy is unmatched and I cannot wait to see him again! The downfall, although the venue itself was adorable and I definitely would go back, Ticketmaster sold me a $20 VIP parking pass which when we got there everybody told us didn’t exist. So I expect a refund except I’m having a difficult time finding out how I get that and keep getting bounced around. The experience customers have with Ticketmaster can be a direct reflection on the venue and/or the artist, so it’s especially not fair to falsely charge people. Otherwise it would’ve been a five star show

  • Amazing

by Tam on 8/30/22Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

OMG, what an amazing show. This was my second time seeing Damien and as always he plays the violin with so much love and compassion. Very humble and his interaction with the crowd was so warming. But I cant go withoout mentioning the other 2 artist Jeff Bradshaw's performance and interaction with the crowd was awesome. And Eric Darous play that sax like it was his last, electrifying and lots of energy. Definitely a show worth seeing.

  • Musical Paradise

by Ronnie on 8/30/22Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

The event was amazing! Damien has such a soothing sound and is so talent with such a generous spirit. Hearing him play live for the 3rd time and having him come into the audience to greet his fans, and waiting while my timer counted down to take a selfie with him was awesome. And then there was Jeff Bradshaw and Eric Darius, two musically gifted artists that I was introduced to for the first time. Each performed beautifully. I'm definitely a new fan. And then there was Mable House. The venue was intimate and spacious at the same time. I loved everything about this evening. It was a magnificant evening and one I will treasure.

  • Great Performance

This was my first exposure to the music of Damien Escobar. I thought his performance was energizing, sophisticated, and perfect for the venue. He came off stage and interacted with the crowd from bottom to the top. The crowd was really feeling him. I would recommend seeing this performance.
