Damien Escobar on Tour
World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.
It wasn't just me...everyone in the room expressed joy as Damien transformed us into our place of musical bliss!
Damien Escobar is a truly talented musician that can easily change your mind on what can be done with a violin in the right hands. Even after being diagnosed with vertigo, he put on a concert that was timeless.

He played the violin in a manner that it felt like it sang. He was personal with the audience by leaving the stage to serenade the audience, and was open about personal concerns he was encountering. Also, he allowed the audience to participate to win a painting a teen painted of him during one of the songs he played. He had an attendee to FaceTime her mother and he let the audience hear the conversation and that was special. Overall, it was my birthday and I felt Damien Escobar performance gave me a special feeling.
His engaging the crowd was spectacular, heartfelt, and appreciated! He is top five concert artist ESPECIALLY after being diagnosed with vertigo!
Damien is a master of his craft, has an incredible life story and seems to be such a humble individual. Amazing performance!

My Sister gifted us the tickets for this event and my husband had a unexpected surgery to burn 🔥 his nerves on that same day. He served 30 years in the army and damages to his back. The doctor didn't recommend that he attended because his procedure was at 4:00 pm and he was to lay still for 24 hours. The event was at 8:00 the same day. My sister had insurance and I hope that she was able to get a refund 😒
You have to see him. I can not explain. You need to witness him for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!!
Damien gave us his gift of being a true artist. The show was fantastic. Even though he was not feeling well and was very transparent about that, he performed like he was at 200%. His energy and vibe were amazing and the whole place felt it. I will definitely be seeing him again!
Damien was awesome! Even though he wasn’t feeling his best he still gave the best!! His interaction with the audience was spectacular. I've seen Damien perform in Raleigh NC twice. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy his performances. He is very engaging and interacts with his audience. He did a birthday shout out to someone who couldn't be there. I enjoyed watching him interact with this lady via FaceTime. I almost missed this show. So glad I didn't. Looking forward to seeing him again.
I am Damien Escobar's biggest fan, I am confident, in the DMV area. I have been following Damien Escobar for more than six solid years and I purchase tickets, usually through Ticketmaster, every time he is in the DMV area. I have gone to see him as far as Delaware. However, this concert was the best ever - my second time seeing him at the Birchmere. I think it was the fact that I was so close to him as he graced the audience with his signature -walk through serenade - and he stood by me. He makes sure his audience is engaged and enjoys his gifts. What an awesome birthday gift for me this year! Thank you Damien!... With gratitide.+
Love watching him perform and love that he comes into the audience to perform. He is so personable, stopping to greet and take pictures with his fans. Since the Birchmere is small and intimate it is the perfect setting to enjoy a Damien Escobar show. 😍
I saw Damien in the Washington DC metro on 11/10/22 for the second time. He met all expectations!! Damien brings not only undeniable talent but lots of energy and ‘let’s have a great time’ vibes to his concert from start to end! To watch such amazing music come alive with a violin, keyboard, and drums left me in awe and wanting more. On top of that, he was so personable and engaging with the audience taking pictures, giving hugs, and even shared a bottle of wine. I will always be a fan of Damien Escobar’s music. Thanks for the wonderful concert!
Venue was excellent, concert was intimate. Crowd was mature. I would go see Damien again at the same venue. Worth every penny.
He had energy and made the venue come alive. He's a must see.
