Damien Escobar on Tour
World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.
Damien Escobar Live in Concert
Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.
First time seeing Damien perform and was floored by his talent! He’s a must see if you can make it to see him and you will not be disappointed!
I enjoyed your tribute to MJ. Each song brought me back to his Off the Wall album.
I WAS THE BIRTHDAY GIRL WHO JAMMED ALL NIGHT IN FRONT ROW. YOU PASSED THE WINE TO ME. MAY JEHOVAH CONTINUE TO SOAR YOU KING!
His performance is always amazing. I love the energy and love he puts into the music
Damien gives it Absolutely stellar performance a definite must see show!!! Damian excellent show!!!!!
Truly enjoyed the show with the opening act and Damien playing and looking good. Even got to see him up close when he got off stage and walked the crowd. Excellent show!!!
A-1 performance!!! Escobar kept us invigorated and excited with every note he played !!! Always a wonderful experience at his performances! Can't wait til the next time!!
By far the best concert ever attended, never wanted it to end..Damien will touch your Soul with this violin!! Make Detroit Last stop Again!! Yessss❤
Damien puts on a great show! This is my third time seeing him; the first time that he was the only act. Unfortunately he was suffering from vertigo, but somehow still managed to put on an excellent show!
DAMIEN ESCOBAR WAS EXCELLENT!!!!! Seating was horrible!! We were seated 4 rows from the stage (on the floor of course) and were packed like sardines. We sat shoulder to shoulder with the person next to us, this is not an exaggeration. The Sound Board must have tried to make seating in every inch of space they had available in this venue. I felt bad for a Lady sitting two rows in front of us when a gentleman twice her size had to sit next to her. Not so sure about returning to the Sound Board. The seating was absolutely horrible! COVID is still a clear and present danger. My rating is for Sound Board and not a reflection on Damien Escobar, he made this experience tolerable.
My wife and I have been waiting for over three years to see Damien. We drove thru the rain from Greensboro, NC and man was it worth it. Keep up the great work Damien. Be Blessed. See you next time you are in the area.
Great show! Damien pushed through some health challenges to deliver a stellar performance. Very personable and interacted with the audience throughout the night, Class act!
Damien was amazing my first time seeing him, and I really enjoyed him, can’t wait until next tour.
As always Damien did not disappoint!! I loved the intimate setting of Sound Board and he made it even more personable by walking through the entire venue to greet us.
Damien is a CLASS ACT, he get you into his music and seem very personal in concert. I really like the Ludlow Garage venue however the concert was not long enough. I go to concerts and for the most part I don't mind paying the cost but I think the entertainer/concert promoter should consider the time a performer gives those that pay to see their show. This was way-too-short.
I always see him at the Aretha Amp. So this was my first time seeing him at the sound board. How excellent he was. This was his last stop and he brought the funk baby. This was a grown and sexy affair
The ambience of it all I see Damien every time he’s here in detroit….
I have been waiting for Damian Escobar to come near my city for awhile now and I’m so glad he did! The show was spectacular, the energy great, his words uplifting and the entire show was phenomenal even though he wasn’t feeling well he didn’t miss a beat! I will most definitely see him again!
Damien Escobar is unlike any other artist when it comes to his craft. His musical ability is beyond phenomenal. He is a MUST see whenever he performs in concert. I will never miss a performance he has whenever he comes to Detroit. The Man is a Genius and no words can describe his talent.
If you haven't seen Damien Escobar, you must do it. Put it on your bucket list. He is unlike any other concert you have seen. This young man always put on a spectacular show and throws his whole heart and soul into it. When he was a child he knew he wanted to show people what a violin could do. You will be amazed. It is not what you have heard a violin do before. Listen to his music and be transported to another realm.
