World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.
Damien Escobar Live in Concert
Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.
Even with the technical difficulties, Damien's humbleness, passion and talent shined through. Enjoyed it immensely.
Show started late because of technical difficulties but, Damien was outstanding!
Although the show started thirty minutes late...... Damien did not disappoint us with his performance. He was energetic, engaging, & entertaining. He played his songs as well as others. He came off the stage into the audience ....including the balcony & played! What a nice treat! I enjoyed the show immensely.
Great concert! This was my first time seeing Damien live and it was definitely well worth it. I brought my 15 year old and he loved it. I will definitely pay to see him again.
1st time seeing Damien Escobar live and man was he ever live. he beat that violin into complete submission and spread the love energy with each stroke of the banged up bow. every string he broke was a signal that he was about to throw down. then he sat there and plucked the strings - i found myself sitting there, on the river eyes closed, toes tapping, rocking and when i looked up he was sitting there eyes closed - all his passion coming out of that violin. love me some Damien Escobar, best concert i'd been to in quite a while! um...when is he coming back?
Beautiful atmosphere, great weather, awesome performance by Damien!! Love his music!
Escobar music was not only on point, but his showmanship was equally awesome. I love the fact that he came up in the audience. This man is BADD
Great artist who caters a little too much to the R & B crowd. His performance, however, was highly enjoyable.
Damein was Wonderful as always!!! 2nd time seeing him and he was even better this time than last year. Hoping to do meet and greet next year.

Great beautiful venue. Announcer could not use mic properly, causing distortion and was annoying. Women's restroom have inadequate number of stalls, Damien was GREAT. Warm-up acts very adequate and entertaining.
This concert was amazing, from the local Detroit acts to Damien himself, I would see him repeatedly!
Concert by Damien Escobar was one of the best concerts I have attended. His spiritual connection to the violin and the audience makes his sound unique and soulful. He is one of the best artists.
