Damien Escobar on Tour
World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.

First time and definitely won't be the last! His performance was nothing like I've seen before.
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance by Escobar as well as the opening act. The atmosphere was very positive and everyone appeared to have a great time. I actually got a rose this time! I will continue to support and attend future concerts where Escobar is on the roster!!
When I learned Damien would be performing in Detroit during a visit to the area, I knew I had to take my friend to experience this man’s musical talent live. Damien puts on a great show (this was my second time seeing him, the first in NY) that not only displays his musical genius but let’s you in to the warmth and breadth of the person. You leave feeling satisfied and better for having attended. This was my first concert at Chene Park and I thought the venue was unique with the Detroit River and Windsor Canada in the background. I wouldn’t hesitate to attend this venue in the future.

Damien Escobar always gives a great show, this was my 2nd time seeing him. I plan on seeing him next time to. I would recommend his show to anyone!! HE'S THE DEAL!!
We purchase tickets with out knowing the artist so very happy and pleased with his performance. I hope he comes to the Tri-state area. I’m recommending him to my brother in GA
I expected nothing less. When I first attended a concert in December 2016, it set the precedents for me that I'd be returning. This show was just as remarkable, if not more. Can't wait to see him again.

I loved the passion of Damien Escobar. The show was very entertaining and non-stop love making to my ears and soul. He interacts with the audience and gave the ladies long stemmed red roses. He is a very real, emotional musician. I would definitely see him again. He is definitely a truly gifted artist who knows how to cater a show to his fans. He played the entire stage and his selection of original and covers was straight from my playlist. The only negative was not related to his artistry but the venue. If he plays this venue again, I will have to carefully consider attending because of the seating....our were front row but the view was obstructed, so close & small we were in on neighborhood’s seat (seats from elementary classroom)
The Venue was too air-conditioned. I was very cold the entire time. The event started 30 minutes late which was unacceptable. The music was enjoyable.
He was awesome. He had so much energy and the song selection was great. He is a must see.
I have never witnessed an Violinist execute such electricity such as Escobar did on last Saturday night! I loved how he displayed passion for his musical craft and displayed compassion for the audience. Damien's engagement with the audience through his music drew you in sync with his music. I loved the whole experience from the time I drove up on the parking lot with the valets, security, cashier host. I was there to celebrate my birthday and the hotel manager was so accommodating and attentive to me, with a pass to meet Damien Escobar, a photo with him and drink coupons for me and my guests, WOW! I loved it and I loved the part in the show where Damien gave out roses to the ladies in the audience, and I GOT A ROSE, it was the best night, the music was delightful, moving, seductive, and alluring at points. Damien is truly a special musician with genuine humility.
Ticketmaster did not allow us to buy seats in front row which left open seats. I left the venue smelling like a cigarette. The show was awesome, I wish he did longer sets!
Damien Escobar is as amazing on stage as he is in his online videos. I worried that I might be bored with an hour and a half of instrumentals but the way that he got the audience involved in the chorus was an invigorating mind-blowing experience made possible by the size of the venue (i.e. not too large with great acoustics). His backup band was wonderfully talented too! He was warm and charming and was invested in seeing that we had a good time. I would attend another of his concerts in a heartbeat -- it was well worth the price of admission. The only reason it was not 5 stars was that the seats were too close together and I felt packed in.
It was our first time ever hearing him and was very pleased with his music. We would love to go see him again.
Damien Escobar was awesome I showed off my videos to co workers and they were amazed because when I mention to them I was going to see him in concert and he played the violin, they act shallow until they heard the music and watch the videos. I want to see him every time he comes near the Memphis area. Even my fiancé enjoyed the show!
This was my first time seeing or hearing Damien Escobar. It was a very intimate show. He is very much in touch with his audiences. Esco goes beyond music with his sets. The black violins we're excellent, but I had a better time at Mr. Esco's show.
Damien is an incredibly talented man who is one of the best musicians I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. He is also a great human being with a story that is so poignant and powerful. If you have the opportunity to see him, GO!!!!!
This concert will not disappoint. Damien takes his time to engage the audience and play from the heart. It's intimate and sexy. You will leave with the music still playing in your head days & months later. Music to soothe your soul.
