Damien Escobar on Tour

World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Damien Escobar Live in Concert

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.

Despite the technical difficulties that caused the show to begin an hour and 30 minutes later than it was supposed to it was one of the best shows I had ever seen Damian was awesome.

To say that the Damien was awesome would be an insult. From the moment he stepped on stage the energy in the room was magnetic. He played the violin with precision, grace and fire. His playing was beautifully mesmerizing.

  • Fantastic show!

by Cookie C on 5/4/19Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Damien and his band put on a fantastic show. This is despite them starting 30 mins late and having some minor technical issues. Every song, and his conversation in between, was well thought out. He made his audience feel like we were just jamming it out in his living room. My absolute favorite song is his rendition of "Am I Wrong?" That one song made every penny spent worth it. I know Atlanta was the first stop on his tour, so I will forgive the awful lighting. But other than that, I recommend this concert to anyone in any tour city! This brother can JAM!

  • Lovely

    by Eb’s on 5/4/19Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Parking was made easy. Really helps when you pay in advance. The Venue was nice. A little confusing to get around from the parking deck though. The show started about 40 minutes late. But once it got started we all were excited and very happy! He’s an amazing artist. Atlanta deserves a do-over.

  • I want to see him again!

by FancyMc on 5/3/19Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

So the concert started a little late but it was okay. The music playing beforehand was nice so we were still able to enjoy that part. I loved the fact that Damien acknowledged that he was late. The delay was due to technical difficulties, which we apparent throughout the evening, but he acknowledged it and apologized. He is an amazing artist. I thoroughly enjoyed his arrangements and so did my father. It was a perfect daddy/daughter outing. At the end he came to share love to all of the orchestra levels. That blew my mind. The way he interacted and connected with the crowd was everything one could want when spending money to come see an artist live in concert.

  • What an Amazing Artist

by Cmp on 5/3/19Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Even with the 30 minutes technical difficulties, Damien came out and apologized. He played 97 minutes, never missing a beat. He has a beautiful soul and that violin is a part of him. I high recommend his show.

This was the best experience EVER. SEEING HIM PERFORM LIVE was much better than watching him on YouTube. He is a down to earth man. Do much passion when he plays. Definitely will see him again live.ā¤ā¤šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹

  • ALWAYS MY FAVORITE

by SUNLUV on 5/3/19Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I purchased the VIP ticket and there was too much chaos. This is not the first show so why didn't all the people who were running around not know what to do? The meet & greet was over an hour late and we didn't get the merchandise we were supposed to get. The manager didn't even know what we were to get as part of the package. We were promised we would get our missing items in the mail. Once the show started it was mainly covers and a few of Damien's songs. I still love him but the logistics need to improve especially being on time.

  • Awesome

  • Amazing Experience!

by Elle on 5/3/19Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The show started late and Dameon was so humble and apologized several times. His stage presence was awesome. He even entertained the balcony by going up there and playing up close and personal. Great job! I will definitely be at the next performance in my city with a few more friends.

  • Great performer!!!
