Damien Escobar on Tour
World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.
Damien Escobar Live in Concert
Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.

Great show. Food and drinks were great. Damien gave a great show.
Everything was good and enjoyed and the experience was great as well and Damon performance was perfect
Damion Escobar gave an amazing performance! I traveled 4 hours to see his show! He is extremely talented!
This will surely be an annual repeat concert for me!
All of the stage acts were wonderful. The venue not do much. Seats w/glasses on it...no mandates for masks...over priced parking. Name has changed, but the venue is the same. And as usual the acoustic were off.
Came in from out of town…the venue was not suitable for an event in the fall. Show started almost 3 hours late…we left before the main event took the stage.
I’ve been going to see Damien Escobar every summer in Detroit for years. This year the weather wasn’t the greatest for an outdoor concert with the rain, wind and cold but Damien definitely made up for it with a great show!! We had a great time and loved Damien giving some “shine” to some talented young artists.
I love Damon Escobar’s music and he is an awesome performer!
Guest Blkbok was great then the evening got better as the night went on with Damien's performance and the two surprise guest i had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday
Wonderful experience as always. Love this venue and this artist.
To start the night off was the Detroit native BLK BOK, whom is an exceptional pianist. He wowed the crowd with his Neo-classical style of play, showcasing original pieces and covers. Damien Escobar was more that the price of admission. Before his set began he made sure the sound was right. He would not start the show until the sound was acceptable because he wanted the audience's experience to be optimal. After about 5-10 minutes of tweaking, it was up from there! Damien had the Aretha rocking!!! He brought out a Detroit violinist (Delio) that he saw on social media and gave him his shine. He did his signature crowd walk-n-play. I was a great experience and something I'd want to do again.
Damian Escobar was wonderful his aura was great I loved his performance all around great show
Despite the weather the concert was great. Damien Escobar never disappoints, the show was excellent.
It was a great concert I loved how he intermingled with the audience and brought on new young people
He gave 120% as usual. The weather was very cold and wet outside of the Chene Park or the Aretha Amphitheatre as they now call it. The show went on without a hitch.
Damien Escobar is a professional. I loved the music, the stories behind the music. The whole experience was so wonderful. He connected with his audience on a level that performed don't see anymore, especially since we're still in a pandemic. I was blessed to have witnessed this amazing performer.
The weather was not great. But the show was. I would love to see him in a different place
It was a great concert especially when he brought out local talent. Damien Escobar is the best violinist out here and never disappoints. Another great show as always!
It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to great music, and awesome crowd participation
