Damien Escobar on Tour

World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Damien Escobar Live in Concert

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.

  • My husband and I had a great time at the concert.

by SJones on 5/18/22House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

There wasn’t an opening act so it started a little late but Damien rocked the house for 1hr 40 min. The sound was clear and distinct. To add a personal touch, Damien mingled with the crowd. I saw him in Panama City at Seabreeze Festival 3 yrs ago and this performance was awesome like the first time. He’s such a talented young man with good vibes.

He definitely set the VIBE of the night as well as the Music! He is a very good entertainer and is very down to earth and transparent. He knows how to keep the audience involved and engaged! I can't wait until he comes back to Dallas again. I just hope that he doesn't book at the Echo Lounge again. I do NOT WANT TO GO BACK THERE FOR ANYTHING. #IloveDamienontheviolin #Iloveviolin #violinandhiphop #vipvop #VamienVescobar #Mosaidit lol

  • Excellent Experience and Music

by JG on 5/17/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Damien is a pleasure to watch. His music is a mix of violin, RnB, and modern beats and percussions. He performs a mix of original songs and his own interpretations and mashups of mostly older 80s and 90s jams. He is so energetic and plays so well, the time flies by. You cannot watch him without wanting to stand up and dance and feel the music. An amazing performer that I would recommend to anyone!

  • Great but Late!

by Dallas Girl on 5/17/22The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

As always, Damien Escobar's show was amazing! As a performer, he never disappoints. I've seen him live several times, and it's always top tier. I will say, however, I was a little disappointed that the show started almost two hours late. Tickets were sold for a 7pm show and did not indicate 'Doors Open at @7pm'; So, most patrons arrived prior to 7pm expecting that to be showtime. He did not grace the stage until 9pm. Not sure who was to blame - the artist or the venue, but not a good look. Nonetheless, the show was amazing, but everyone was pretty tired by the time he made it out.

  • Amazing

by Nicola on 3/8/22Sony Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Damien Escobar is an excellent performer. I only wish the show could have been longer. He was very welcoming and down to earth, an all around wonderful person and soulful artist. Whenever he is in town I will look for his show. LOVED IT

Damien Escobar's concerts are always awesome and then some! He puts the "s" on spicy because of his unique flavour he puts into any song, "Love Notes" or "Purple Rain"....Sony Hall was the perfect beautiful, yet intimate venue for this particular show.

  • Amazing show!

by Mali on 2/17/22Sony Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I was a little disappointed with the sound guys at Sony Music Hall. They gave Damien a bad mic twice that significantly took away from the experience, however Dairn, being the awesome showman and professional that he is, made the best of it and delivered an amazing experience.

  • Excellent

This was my first time experiencing a full violin show. It was out of this world!!! He was so engaging with the audience. Will certainly attend if I’m ever in the vicinity of another show. Absolutely amazing!!!

by Martha on 2/15/22Rating: 5 out of 5

Everyone should be fortunate enough to see this young man perform. Its invigorating- i wish so much I can bottle up some of the joy he brought me at yesterdays performance to save it for a rainy day. It was mind blowing- the music runs through his whole body and by extension the rest of us who are lucky enough to be in the audience. I cant find the words to describe the happiness yesterdays event brought me. you forget where you are you forget who you are and its just pure unfiltered pleasure. Thank you -

I spent my young adult life growing up around the Motown label. I have see some phenomenal musicians. That being said Damien is special. It feels like his music is coming straight from his soul. I attended the first show he did in LA, and have attended 12 more of his shows since. I’ve never seen another artist that many times, and I’m not a groupie. I just appreciate his God given gift.

  • A Party

by Bambi on 12/13/21The Saban - Beverly HillsRating: 5 out of 5

I had surprised my cousin for his 63rd birthday. He did not know who Damien was & had not heard his music. But from the 1st pull of the bow he was hooked. We partied!!!! I was surprised I had purchased not just front row, but front row center! And after the almost 2 years we have had….it was a blessing! The venue was gd (parking crazy) but everyone was nice & helpful. I would go there again, but get dropped off. But Damien Escobar was OUTSTANDING!

Although BOTH my invited friends flaked on me, I was NOT going to waste my seats in the Pit. Damien was fabulous as always and made a very special experience for most of us who have been cooped up due to the pandemic. Can’t wait for him to return to the West Coast, or perhaps I’ll catch him east of the Rockies!

  • Amazing Night

by Lateefah on 12/13/21The Saban - Beverly HillsRating: 5 out of 5

I purchased these tickets when they first went on sale because I am a huge fan and I thought the pandemic was over. I am thankful that the Saban Theater didn’t have a vaccine mandate. I was able to wear my mask and felt comfortable. Damien put on an amazing show for my best friend to celebrate her birthday weekend. Before going to the show she had the birthday blues and he bought her right up out of that funk. This was my first concert since 2019. Thank you Damien for an amazing night.

  • Damien always gives the crowd his very BEST of energy.

The event was nothing shy of amazing. Damien was phenomenal, his passion and talent is electrifying, it’s an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. A hidden jewel and I would highly suggest seeing Damien Escobar in concert whenever possible. It’s a must see!!! For me personally anytime he’s in California I’ll be there with front row tickets. It was my first time experiencing his genius, however, it will not be my last.
