Damien Escobar on Tour
World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.
This year the event seemed to be thrown together a very rushed production. We couldn't hear due to sound issues for a third of the show. I hope next year it goes back to the amazing show we're use to seeing Damien put on!

I brought my 14 year old son and he kept asking me what was his name, so I asked why do you keep asking me that he said he really liked him and he wanted to come with anytime I go to a jazz concert.
I just want to share with those not familiar with this musical genius that Damian has a TRUE gift from God. I would visit him in any state, just to see him perform. Cant wait to see Mr. Escobar again.
From the beginning to the end everything was amazing. I first purchased my ticket with ease, the ticket was purchased with PayPal. Second, entry into the concert was easy breezy. The rain was terrible outside but it was dry under the canopy. Beautiful music with the rain in the background made for great ambiance!! Damion never disappoints! He plays the violin like it’s a part of him. You can see the passion and the joy on his face as he plays!!

His performance was above and beyond our expectations. Talented friendly and very up close and personal. Purple Rain was on fire! It’s my third time at his show I wouldn’t miss it when he returns

Mark Mixx had a great vibe cool sounds. Damien Escobar had great energy and was entertaining. This was my 1st time seeing him and I wish I heard more of his music instead of other artist hits. Not a headliner but a good opening act

From the first note Damian took the lead and led the crowd on a fantastic voyage . He stated the goal for the night and kept everyone involved including connecting with everyone by coming to the people .Excitement! My son is an aspiring violinist and met Damon years ago when he visited the high school. He had the picture of them together with him . Damian’s performance at the concert gave him even more “boost “. The value of a concert like this …. Priceless ! Thanks again Damian for being you and I believe no left not having a wonderful experience .

Damien Escobar consistently performs his heart out on the stage! He’s not only talented but he’s an entertainer along with being a phenomenal musician. His show in Houston was amazing! The acoustics at the House of Blues is top notch and the lighting too! Damien came into the audience to get up close and in person with all of us, even up in the balcony. We have seen him in concert a few times and will continue to support his passion of playing the violin and performing any time we can. Thanks for a great show Damien!!
I enjoyed the show tremendously. Damien is so talented! The band was great! I had a fun night and was happy that I was finally able to attend his show. I will definitely check him out again the next time he comes to Houston.
