It was my 4th or even 5th DakhaBrakha concert and the band never disappoints: new songs, deeply rooted Ukrainian folk motives, musical experiments, beautiful and one of a kind visual. Nina, Marko, Iryna and Olena, you are great and so so so talented!
Hadn’t really known about this group until I heard they would be doing this show. Liked a couple of videos we found online, so got tickets. The show was outstanding. This group is amazing live! If you get the chance to see them, don’t miss it.
I can't imagine what it's like to leave your country to play music and entertain people when your country is at war. DakhaBrakha held that heaviness with grace and gave the audience an wonderful, heartfelt, moving night of music with a dose of reality of their plight back home.
Excellent show. Superb performance, captivating music and well synchronized visuals.
Dakha Brakha is always evolving and always puts on an amazing show. Their musicianship, composing, and presentation is worth much more than the price of the tickets. The group's extremely tasteful use of media, effects, and lighting is refreshing. Just the right amount and very strategically placed. It doesn't take away from the music but provides support for it. Of course, they were theater artists before they went out on tour all the time, so they absolutely know the value of sets, lights, and costumes that support their stories in the most effective way.
Absolutely the best music, best musicians, best artwork, most inspiring in support of Ukraine. Gorgeous.
DakhaBrakha is an insanely talented band from the Ukraine whose unique sound and intense passion for music collides with an equal amount of advocacy for political freedom. They really showed up big on this night in one of best Seattle's theatre venues and the special effects/graphics that played along the band were also noteworthy. Will definitely see them again if given the chance.
for how good this was! We somehow got super awesome seats and were only a few rows back. The music was powerful and eclectic- every song was different from the last. The visuals were so interesting and really complemented the different songs. Some songs were for feeling good and some were for feeling sad and some were for crushing oppression. You could tell every musician gave their all through the performance. Slava Ukraini!
Not only are they a cultural gem, they possess the musical skills of the very best of musicians! Their stage show is not to be missed. Their music will electrify and fill you with awe, it may take an hour after the show for the goosebumps to go away and the hairs on your arms to lie down! They are Ukranian and are excellent embassadors of that country under seiege. The heart alternately breaks, and also melts in its turn depending on the music. To this end it is DakhaBrakha that plays the audiences heart and soul.
