Daði Freyr on Tour
The eccentric Daði Freyr is an Icelandic electric-pop singer, songwriter and musician. Although Freyr has been making music for over a decade, he is best known for his 2020 ultra-viral single "Think About Things." He is set to commence his 15-stop 2022 tour across the United States and Canada. Freyr's live performances are filled with upbeat, synth-heavy hooks, funky instrumentals and plenty of danceable tracks, making his show a must-see for all EDM and pop-loving fans. Starting his solo career in 2017 with his EP Næsta Skref, Freyr has continued to produce a number of singles such as "Skiptir Ekki Máli," "I Thought I'd Be More Famous by Now (Daði Freyr Remix)," "Heyri Ekki,'' and "Endurtaka Mig." He released his first album, & Co., in 2019, and followed that album with popular songs "Think About Things" in 2020 and "10 years" in 2021.
Born in Reykjavik, Iceland, Freyr started his musical career in 2012 with electric pop band Retrobot. In 2012, Retrobot won the annual Icelandic battle of the bands contest, Músíktilraunir. Shortly after, Freyr moved to Berlin where he began studying music production with the goal to win the Eurovision Song Contest. His 2017 song "Is This Love?" was submitted for Söngvakeppni, the Icelandic song contest that decides the entry into Eurovision. "Is This Love?" didn't win Söngvakeppni, but it introduced the talented Daði Freyr to the musical community. His 2020 song "Think About Things" did win Söngvakeppni and was set to be a strong contender in Eurovision until the shutdown of the contest due to COVID-19. Although falling short of his Eurovision dreams, "Think About Things" became an international hit and overnight sensation, garnering online praise from celebrities including Russell Crowe and Jennifer Garner. "Think About Things" received a silver record in the UK, was listed at No. 6 on TIME magazine's Top 10 Songs of 2020 and currently has more than 118 million streams on Spotify.

We've been following Dadi rise to music fame since well before Think About Things got into the mainstream, and were totally satisfied experiencing his performance at the 9:30 Club. His tour band members, Inge and Raffi, are just as energetic as he is. 9:30 Club staff also make you feel right at home as always.
Dadi is a very genuine person and an excellent musician and performer. This is the most fun I’ve had at a show in a long time. I’ve never laughed so much, and my face hurt from smiling. I would see him again in a heartbeat, no matter where or when.
i went in expecting to hear my favorite funny Icelandic man sing some English songs some Icelandic songs, maybe talk to the crowd a bit, and call it a night. I did not expect a 2 hour comedy special with endless song surprises. I never could guess what would happen next and I LOVED IT. I highly recommend going to see his show!
Dadi Freyr gave us one of the most fun concerts I have been to in recent time. His beats are joyful and his voice like molasses. He engaged the crowd and was super funny, never taking himself too seriously. I hope he comes back to DC soon.
Love the venue, and Dađi has a wonderful voice and great energy.
Venue was great as always, and Dadi Freyr (I’m sorry my keyboard can’t type the Iceland characters properly) and his fellow musicians were amazing!! The energy throughout the entire show was so fun and upbeat and I couldn’t stop dancing
Dadi is a really funky dude. This being my first concert was an absolute thrill
The venue was small but very nice, clean, staff was very professional and friendly and the event was absolutely fabulous Dadi and his 2 team mates put on a great show , I would love to see him in Philadelphia again 🎉🎉🎉
