  • Small crowd, DJ was the best part

by Disappointed Gay on 5/13/25Marquis - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

Music was fun, DJ did pretty good, very small crowd and unfortunately a good amount were dudes? I don't know if they didn't get the memo but the vibes were not the greatest. One dude was literally sitting on the front of the stage? Felt pretty disrespectful to the DJ but she killed it. I wish more people had been there.

  • Fun!

Fun and energy was definitely kept throughout the event.

  • Sapphic Serenades

by Ari on 1/14/259:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

So sapphic, so many cuties, such great vibes. I loved tearing it up on the dance floor with my gf to Charli and Chappell!!!

  • Disappointing

by Fia on 10/8/24Rating: 1 out of 5

Maybe my friends and I just got unlucky and this was an off night, but unfortunately this event was almost completely dead- we stayed for an hour after the start time (midnight!), and there were never more than 20 people there. We tried to dance, but with most people clearly feeling awkward and sitting at nearby tables, it just made us feel weird. It was a lot like a middle school formal, with at most ten people on the dance floor punting around a single balloon and everyone else by the walls. At one point a couple of the DJ's friends showed up and hung out with her on/near the stage, just kicking a balloon back and forth, and her not being at the booth didn't change the vibes at all. We left pretty unhappy and feeling a bit ripped off. Put a damper on what was supposed to be a good night out for a birthday party. On the bright side, a portion of the ticket sales went to charity (only a dollar each, but still).

  • Venue too big

by Sal on 10/8/24Brooklyn Bowl - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was way too big for the event. If there were 4x more people, then it would have been perfect, but it was giving school dance in the gymnasium. Awkward, spread out, and so loud you could hardly speak to anyone. Same event would have been so much better in a venue 1/3 of the size. DJ was pretty good though

  • Amazing!!

Loved the energy and great DJ! I would definitely go again!

  • Mid, nothing truly sapphic besides some music choices

by Haruna on 6/19/24Brooklyn Bowl - BrooklynRating: 1 out of 5

Disclaimer, this one-star rating is just from my own experience as an autistic person. The landing page for the event didn't give a lot of info for what sort of things to expect, first of all. Next, the music was so horrendously loud that I had to shout at the top of my lungs just to have my friends barely be able to hear me. The dancefloor had good vibes, but not much for people who weren't actively dancing. Nothing meaningfully "sapphic"was done at the event, which I was hoping for. Some songs were played like All the Things She Said. But that's about it. No theming, no sapphic activities. If I wanted to go to a loud bar and drink and dance, there's plenty of places to do so that don't charge entry. I basically paid 25 bucks for an average night out at a bar.

  • Big Gay dance party!

by Rebecca on 6/4/24Ophelia's Electric Soapbox - DenverRating: 4 out of 5

My wife and I had a great time, a big queer dance party was exactly what I wanted from this event, and Sapphic Factory Delivered! My only critique is that I wish the DJ had mixed the music a bit more, they often played a full song even after the crowd was ready for the next thing and there was some dead time between tracks.

  • Could be more dance music

by Jenna on 5/20/24The Foundry - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

Love this concept and always love a safe space for queers to go, however my friends and I were excited to dance and paid for a safe space to dance. This party did not deliver. The music was mainly songs you could lightly sway to, though a lot of the artists were queer. We had about 20/30 minutes of pure dance music and it was so fun! Just wish that could have been the theme the whole time.
