D.C. United dominated the early days of MLS. They appeared in the league’s first four championship games, winning three of them, and added a fourth title in 2004, all before the league was even a decade old. The United’s alumni include a league-best four MVP recipients: Marco Etcheverry in 1998, Christian Gomez in 2006, Luciano Emilio in 2007 and Dwayne De Rosario in 2011. Emilio and Rosario became the first two of three D.C. Golden Boot recipients in 2007 and 2011, respectively, followed by Christian Benteke in 2024.

  • Great game, we'll get 'em next year!

    by QT4EVA on 11/11/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

It was nice to see such a great turnout for the East Coast's #1 team. Maybe next year we'll win in a new stadium!

  • DC United won the game lost the series!

by davidrsinger on 11/11/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

They fought hard to the last second. It was just an uphill battle because they lost the first game and didn't score any away goals. Still very proud to witness their valiant effort! Scoring on the 90th minute was definitely a treat to see.

  • Close game!!

Had a great time, Dc United came through at the end. Couldn't have asked for better weather, the fans, the entire mood was festive. Go DC United!!!

Great soccer game, good seats, good atmosphere, great view. I would recommend any of the lower level seating at RFK, despite what you hear it is a great place to see a soccer game!

  • Poor reffing: poor result.

by APenley on 11/11/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The ref was a NJ energy drinks fan. Great time- wrong result.

  • Vamos United!

by coolhandchad on 11/11/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I loved it. Awesome experience. The crowd was great and the energy in the stadium was high. Vamos United!

  • DC United throws a hell of a party!

    by Someday42 on 11/11/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

RFK is a terrifying hellbeast. The stadium is old and the faded remnants of the redskin years remain. Don't let that keep you from going to the best soccer party around. The staff are helpful, the crowd is friendly and the soccer is the real deal. Strange side bonus? Legit el Salvadoran food on the concourse.

  • We won and lost at the same time weird feeling

by Tiogordo on 11/11/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

We sat close to the opposite teams crow and it was fun

  • United all the way

by lionsinternational on 10/22/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Espindola is amazing. Can't believe how he escaped the corner at the end of the game and got a shot off. Bring back the Capitol Area Soccer Show pod cast.

  • GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!

by FredLips on 10/21/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

It's always great when the D C United win at home. Great fans - good time had by all on "Fan Appreciation Night." Wish there was a bigger variety of food options and the cost was better for the stadium food - getting a bloody nose just thinking of what I paid for chicken strips...

  • DC United is fun to watch this season!

by VicsSecret on 10/21/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Bunch of us from a soccer league here in the district went to the game. It was a good vibe crowd. It's easier to be happy when the team is winning. Still affordable tickets. Only gripe was the concession's ran out of pizza! It was a really cold night, but can't control the weather.

  • awesome win!!!

by USMCPup on 10/21/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Could not have asked for a better win and time to take my daughter on her first DC United game. Had a great time with my wife and daughter enjoying the goals and the great atmosphere all around the stadium.

  • Food at RFK is bad!

    by SoccerFan2014 on 10/21/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Lines to buy food are too long! take too much time! they ran out of food! terrible! You spend more time buying food that watching the game! I won't recommend going to the stadium till this is fixed.

  • The food service was slow and not enough

by Anonymous on 10/21/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The food line was very slow and by the time I reached the cashier they run out of chicken tender and fries.

  • by Anonymous on 10/21/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Definitely worth going; however, warning - the stadium is falling apart.

  • by bigSteve225 on 10/8/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Wish the fans were more involved. Very quit crowd even though the turn out was decent. The only cheering going on had nothing to do with the players. If there are any chats for the players, it's not well known.

  • Awesome Experience

    by 3083joe on 10/7/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Never been to a Professional Soccer Game before but wow, awesome experience. Big stadium yet felt warm and not crowded

  • Fun experience :)

by antrea on 10/6/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great game, even though it played to a draw and it started raining for a part of it. Love the atmosphere of RFK Stadium and the energy of the Screaming Eagles!

  • Great game

by Ennoil on 9/30/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was an awesome game. The seats are great. I loved it...

  • by Anonymous on 9/9/14RFK Stadium - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

Great game and lots of fun! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the lines for food/drinks were incredibly long. I guess it is expected at half-time, but there were other stands that could have been open and weren't. Nonetheless, definitely a memorable occasion for my dad's birthday!
