About

CupcakKe in Concert

Chicago artist CupcakKe divulges everything and apologizes for nothing with her brash and biting trap-inspired rap. Her heavy, hard-edged, sometimes humorous music is a clear product of her background. Born Elizabeth Eden Harris in 1997, she grew up in the south side of Chicago alongside fellow future rappers Chief Keef and Lil Reese—but she started down quite a different path. As a young girl, Harris wrote and performed her own religious poetry at her local church. Eventually, on the advice of a parishioner, she began to turn those poems into raps. Soon enough, with plenty of Lil Kim inspiration, her poetic wordplay quickly turned explicit.

With a tiny chunk of cash from her mom, she booked a studio to record her first demo, and CupcakKe was born. She began to upload her songs to YouTube and in late 2015, she started to see her views skyrocket. Within a day, she was featured on the major hip-hop site WorldStarHipHop. She released two more singled that would eventually be featured on her 2016 debut mixtape. The collection of songs proved CupcakKe's versatility beyond a shock rapper, with brutal and candid songs like "Pedophile" and "Life." Within a few months, she'd release her second mixtape, ‘S.T.D (Shelters to Deltas),' and by October 2016, she released her debut studio album, ‘Audacious,' including dance-fueled LGBT anthem "Lgbt."

Her output would continue to prove prolific. By early 2017, she was featured on English pop star Charli XCX's "Lipgloss," and released her sophomore album, ‘Queen Elizabitch.' At this time, most of her success was found online, but she'd soon hit the road for The Marilyn Monhoe Tour, bringing her vivacious personality to the stage. The following year, she was already on her third album, ‘Ephorize,' and by the end of 2018 she would join Iggy Azalea on the Bad Girls Tour.

    Cupcakke concert??? NOT.

by sadcupcakkefan on 4/10/18Harrah's Cabaret at Harrah's Las Vegas - Las Vegas

My friends and I got our tickets because this was marketed as a Cupcakke concert at 2:30pm. In reality it was a showcase of lots of artists and Cupcakke was the very last artist to go on! We planned our entire day around this event. The girls who were working the entrance showed us the setlist and recomended we come back later for Cupcakke’s set. We came back 30 minutes later and the event was OVER!! We missed her set completely!! We were crushed and it ruined our trip unfortunately.. hoping for a refund. Also sad to see that the marketed headline artist clearly only played for less than 30 minutes..

    A little short but amazing!

by BeeManLovesCupcakke on 3/6/18The Foundry - Philadelphia

Cupcakke came on at 930 but the doors opened at 730 and the opening act was a DJ nobody knew (she was good but she read the crowd wrong a few times. i personally liked her) and she played until Cupcakke came on. Her set was really short but she said she didnt feel good. I loved a queen and she looked so skinny up close I was shaking!!!!

    Didn't play her biggest hit!

by RoseZee on 3/5/18Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

This show was pretty good until that fateful moment when the lights come on and you haven't heard 'your song' yet. She didn't play "Biggie Smalls"!?! Also, no encore, no nothing. The openers Syd Vicious and Mondo Slade (Klok and Dager) were definitely the highlight of the evening. Cupcakke fans do make for some great people watching though.

    Cupcakke can’t perform live

by Miles12345 on 3/5/18Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

I had such high expectations for this show because Cupcakke’s new album is everything. We had to wait 2 and a half hours for her to come on. She really only sang half of her songs, she mostly let the track play. Don’t waste your money or time going to hear her play the tracks, you can listen at home. The worst part is after all of that waiting and a mediocre show, she only played 6 songs. I didn’t even stay for the meet and greet that I paid extra for because it was so late at that point.
