Lee Greenwood was truly worth the money...good show with lots of enthusiasm, whereas Crystal Gayle was mediocre at the very least. She was having trouble hitting notes and spent more time talking than singing!! They had trouble with the sound at the beginning of the show.

  • Crystal Gayle was Forgettable!

by Saler on 10/9/11The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 2 out of 5

We were very disappointed in this performance. While we know as we age our voices change but we thought hers was not up to performance level. We didn't think her "older" Sister performed very well either.

by BOND66 on 10/8/11The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 5 out of 5

This was an excellent concert. My wife and I had a great time. Crystal Gayle and her sister Peggy sang very well. The band members played their hearts out.

  • Good Show but too much noise

by Rhino817 on 2/26/11Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 3 out of 5

Crystal and her band did a good job with the performance but the venue had a lot of noise and this was distracting. Particularly it was too easy to hear the vents and heating noise.

  • Beautiful Voice!

by kflower on 2/24/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Crystal about 4 years ago and I don't remember her band having such an amazing sound. Crystal's voice is still beautiful, and the combination of her, the band and her backup singers it was a wonderful and enjoyable concert! Her sister is a kick in the pants too! I would highly recomend this concert.

Vocals were OK. Outfit was terrible; a cross between Peter Pan and pirates. Song choices were OK. No stage presence at all-very boring showmanship. It was better to watch the band than crystal. Her sister was terrible, and should never be allowed to sing on stage again. Band was wonderful, very fun to watch and very gifted

  • Crystal till has the pipes!

by Betsy1953 on 2/21/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Overall it was a wonderful show. We were a bit thrown by the first few numbers--not what we expected; not her hits, but very showroom jazzy. We were happy when she moved into her hits--old time Crystal fans that we are! Her band was amazing--those HORNS!! We came right home to look up Blue Jay and download her and his latest from iTunes--couldn't get next to the CD sales table at the event; only one salesman and a three-deep crowd. We also enjoyed her sister--and their Sister Act comedy! We looked up June, too, and were pleased to learn more about them all!!

  • Great Show...Horrible Chairs!

by misseymia on 2/20/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Show was at Thunder Valley Casino and the chairs were so close together and so uncomfortable. They were just plain banquet room chairs. For a casino of that size to put on a show they really need to invest in a properly outfitted room for these concerts Crystal Gayle was wonderful!

The Crystal Gayle concert was one of the best concerts that I have ever been to. And I have been to many concerts over the years. The next time she comes to our area I will definalely attend.

It was a fun time! There was a good selection of her popular songs. There were also some jokes intermixed that M liked, but B thought were corny, but that wouldn't stop us from going again! Great show!

Excellent show! Great deal of variety. Band was great, sound mixer was superb and Crystal and her sister were as good as they've ever been.

  • Memories of Years Past

by BES148 on 2/16/11Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 5 out of 5

The show was outstanding. It brought back memories of the 70's and 80's. I forgot some of her top songs, but when she sang them it brought back so many memories

  • She's Still Got The Goods!

by BandE1951 on 2/16/11Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 4 out of 5

I was most amazed at Crystal's ability to stay the course throughout the performance. I lost count, but I imagine she did about 20 songs - and pretty much non-stop. That's worthy of note considering many performers half her age give you about an hour of warm-up bands before they come out and do 5 or 6 numbers. Crystals voice was still strong and amazing, as was her sister doing backup, and all the band did a really good job. I saw her performance at Chukchansi Gold Resort, and I was VERY disappointed with the venue. It was some sort of temporary structure with flat floor and the stage only about 3.5' high. We had gold seating, but it surely wasn't a "gold" experience. To make matters worse, the exhaust fan (I don't know what else to call it) that came on for much of the concert was a real distraction to the performance. Venue rating = LOUSY!! (Otherwise I would have given 5 Stars)

  • Crystal Gale

by Anonymous on 2/16/11Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was wonderful, Crystal and her eclectic entourage were very entertaining w/ their song choices, humor and chatter up on the stage. It was wonderful to meet her afterwards.

  • Crystal Gayle still has it!

    by txg1 on 11/8/10The O'Shaughnessy - Saint PaulRating: 4 out of 5

Crystal's voice was in great form with a lot of expressive detail. Her dynamic range is excellent. Very feminine and classy. My only quibble would be with a number of little inside jokes that don't entertain the audience.

  • by Anonymous on 11/8/10The O'Shaughnessy - Saint PaulRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best performances I have ever seen. Crystal owned the audience for 1 and a half hour with angelic voice and energy. Hope I have the opportunity to see her again

  • Cryslat Gayle at Festival Hall

by pdqyiet on 10/13/10Festival Hall - GreensboroRating: 2 out of 5

This was disappointing. The band was too loud for her voice. Either that or she does not enunciate. Ironically the best performance, where each word was understood, was by the guitar/keyboard/singer who did a duet with Ms. Gayle. Both voices were great, clear and it was beautifully performed. We would have liked to hear more of his singing! It appeared as though Crystal Gayle was a bit uncomfortable on stage. The "story" about Greensboro didn't match our small town - We don't have a Walmart. A little bit of research on the part of the performers could have made this a more intimate & meaningful event. The jokes were a bit vaudeville-ish and out of date.
