Crowded House on Tour

Crowded House are a multi-platinum-selling Australian rock band who gained fame following their 1986 smash hit "Don't Dream It's Over," which has become one of the most covered songs of the last 20 years. Artists who have covered the song include Paul Young, Sixpence None the Richer, Stan Walker, and The Head and the Heart. These songs and the many that came after continue to resonate with audiences around the world decades later. After releasing their seventh studio album, 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting, Crowded House headed out on a North American tour, with international dates planned as well. The band's new album -- their first since 2011 -- and tour features founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer/keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn, and drummer Elroy Finn. Don't miss your chance to hear these classic songs, and new material, live. Get tickets to see Crowded House when they come to a city near you.

Crowded House Live in Concert

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985 from the ashes of New Zealand's Split Enz by Neil Finn, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour, Crowded House released their self-titled debut album in 1986 on Capitol Records and went on to international success with hits "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong." The first iteration of Crowded House was active from 1985 until 1996 and released four studio albums to much success worldwide. Audiences around the world were coming out in droves to see the band for their freewheeling and interactive live shows. The original lineup performed their legendary Farewell to the World concert in 1996 at the Sydney Opera House before 150,000 fans. In 2007, following the passing of original member Paul Hester, Finn and Seymour got Crowded House back together again with longtime touring member Mark Hart and new drummer Matt Sherrod. Their new album, Intriguer, was released in 2010, their last album before 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting. In 2016, Crowded House was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and during that same time brought back their Farewell shows for four nights of live performances at the Sydney Opera House.

Crowded House at The Anthem-DC - What a Fun Night!

by RobMac on 5/26/23The Anthem - Washington

First time at the Anthem. Nice venue with good sightlines; event staff were very pleasant, helpful & set a positive tone for the evening. The band was in good form. Neil Finn's voice has held up, and son Liam provided reinforcement on some of the more demanding songs. Crowded House's catalogue is pretty large as of 2023, and they made use of old and new, plus a couple of unreleased songs, including one they'd never done for a live audience. Straying from the hits was a nice touch, IMO. My wife is a long-time CH fan & was thrilled by the whole set. We bought these tickets on the spur-of-the-moment and are really glad we did. Ticket prices were reasonable, well worth the 2-hour show.

    Not good.

by Advid Fan on 5/25/23Beacon Theatre - New York

Disappointed to say the least. Especially for the cost of the tickets. To start they had a horrible opening act and then when Crowded House came on they played nothing but new songs and jammed like they were in rehearsal. They barely played some their old songs which most of us were there to hear. Don't waste your money.

    Always amazing

    by K on 5/25/23The Anthem - Washington

Neil Finn is an incredible musician and songwriter. His shows (whether solo, with Crowded House, half of Finn Brothers, or any other situation) are always great, always fun.

    The Anthem = The Bomb

by KCINATX on 5/25/23The Anthem - Washington

I gave this show three stars because the show itself was super mellow w/ no standing room on the floor like I usually like it. However, the venue — The Anthem in DC — is spectacular. Such a cool venue inside and out. Lots of cool places for eats and drinks before and after the show. Loved that.

    Dud of a show

by DRC on 5/24/23The Anthem - Washington

The Anthem is a great venue, but this show was a disappointment for me. The band was eager, but after a full hour I had heard one recognizable song. The crowd was quiet and flat.

Absolutely awesome evening My dream band

by Deb on 5/24/23The Anthem - Washington

Parking not to bad we got lucky in a garage. Wharf is awesome. Everyone looked happy around us walking, meeting friends, having drinks/dinner. The Anthem was very nice. The acoustics so good! Everyone working there were so inviting and offered help. Loved the food/bar (our dinner) Of course Crowded House were absolutely great! The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been if the screens were used so we could see the band better.

    Awesome show

    by G. W. on 5/24/23The Anthem - Washington

Didn’t know many of the songs they played but that did not take away from the show at all. Such incredible professional musicians. Great mix of new/old and really old (split enz).

    Wonderful music, beautiful venue

by Lisa on 5/24/23The Anthem - Washington

Our first time at the Anthem. Wow!! Such a beautiful space and all of the staff were the friendliest and most helpful people we’ve ever encountered at a concert. We’ve seen Crowded House several times over the years and as always they put on a fantastic show. Looking forward to attending more concerts at the Anthem in the future.

Neil and company are funny as hell, but overall incredibly talented. Musicianship is superb and his voice is still one of the best.

One of the best concerts I've attended

by Knikki on 5/24/23The Anthem - Washington

My first concert in New Zealand 30 years ago hooked me on the music of Crowded House. They did a really beautiful job of presenting their new material and playing a lot of the older songs that the crowd knew by heart. They even threw in a few Split Enz songs and requests! The opening act was Liam Finn as a solo artist - he was fabulous - if you close your eyes, it's like being transported back 30 years listening to his father. Ah-MAY-zing. Wish they had done more than one night in Washington DC - I would have GLADLY paid to go again!

    by V. S. on 5/23/23

What a fantastic performance! The Beacon Theater is really beautiful and the sound was amazing. Crowded House's performance was stellar. I'm so glad I finally got to see them live. They played even a few Split Enz songs. I can't wait for the next album and tour.

Did not make it to the show

by Really? on 5/22/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The city of Chicago sucks! Avoid it if you can. If you can not get to a venue within 2 hours of your life that should take maybe 30 minutes on a weekday, you should reconsider where you live. I’ve lived in the city. I’ve moved out. I’ll leave the state. It is so so very corrupt Leave and don’t look back .Seriously don’t bother coming here! It’s mismanaged & you’ll regret it,on many levels. If you read this & ignore it, you’ll feel the burn, LL shut down dLSD @ 6pm northbound from 4lanes to 1 during rush hours. They allow the rabble to destroy downtown . It is in explainable. I’m so ticked off, I missed the show.

    An Absolute Triumph

by Kiwi on 5/20/23Carolina Theatre - Durham

This show was amazing!! Fantastic mix of classic favorites and newer stuff. The band clearly enjoys performing together, and the new energy from the younger Finns really added to the overall performance. An absolute delight to see this band live!!
