Crowded House on Tour

Crowded House are a multi-platinum-selling Australian rock band who gained fame following their 1986 smash hit "Don't Dream It's Over," which has become one of the most covered songs of the last 20 years. Artists who have covered the song include Paul Young, Sixpence None the Richer, Stan Walker, and The Head and the Heart. These songs and the many that came after continue to resonate with audiences around the world decades later. After releasing their seventh studio album, 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting, Crowded House headed out on a North American tour, with international dates planned as well. The band's new album -- their first since 2011 -- and tour features founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer/keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn, and drummer Elroy Finn. Don't miss your chance to hear these classic songs, and new material, live. Get tickets to see Crowded House when they come to a city near you.

Crowded House Live in Concert

Formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985 from the ashes of New Zealand's Split Enz by Neil Finn, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour, Crowded House released their self-titled debut album in 1986 on Capitol Records and went on to international success with hits "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong." The first iteration of Crowded House was active from 1985 until 1996 and released four studio albums to much success worldwide. Audiences around the world were coming out in droves to see the band for their freewheeling and interactive live shows. The original lineup performed their legendary Farewell to the World concert in 1996 at the Sydney Opera House before 150,000 fans. In 2007, following the passing of original member Paul Hester, Finn and Seymour got Crowded House back together again with longtime touring member Mark Hart and new drummer Matt Sherrod. Their new album, Intriguer, was released in 2010, their last album before 2021's Dreamers Are Waiting. In 2016, Crowded House was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and during that same time brought back their Farewell shows for four nights of live performances at the Sydney Opera House.

Great band but side chatter spoils

by Tony G on 5/30/23The Anthem - Washington

The venue is impressive but the chatter at the bar during production is just pathetic. Its not a percussion. Crowded house performed so well.

Great show for the whole family, still going strong

by Alphavilla on 5/30/23Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The whole family enjoyed the show. They had never seen them live. I saw them 35 years ago in Copenhagen, in a small venue called the Musikcafeen, where there was space for maybe 80–100 people. Neil still has a great voice, and they were having fun as always. It was Neil's birthday, and some nice fans brought a sign and even a gift that he got from the guys and gals in the front rows (cool!). The setlist was very varied, with some completely new songs included too. You could certainly hear the length of their career in the variety of their top-quality output. The show is very low-key; there were no fireworks, confetti, flashy lights, or similar clichés. Just good music, good fun, and top-notch musicianship—nice to see his two sons along too and supporting their father with their skills too. I hope to see them soon with their new record. I'm glad to see them in good spirits and enjoying it all. All the best, and long live Crowded House!

    The Family That Plays Together

by Fella on 5/29/23Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

First off I would like to compliment Count Basie Theatre for having such a well run venue. I saw a concert at another theatre earlier in the week that was quite the opposite. Despite having tickets and arriving at their designated time, it was necessary to wait on line for half an hour! Now for Crowded House. We've been waiting for two years due to postponements but it was worth the wait. Everyone was in good voice and the musicianship was outstanding. Great mix of old and new songs. Hope to see them again.....

    Great show

by Jay Mack-G on 5/29/23Beacon Theatre - New York

Thoroughly enjoyed this show! The band was tight. Neil has not slowed a step with his vocals. Nick Seymour on base & vocals terrific. Two of Neil's sons (Liam & Elroy) are in the band and are excellent musicians and vocalists. Mitchell Froom on keyboards, but also a record producer, really complemented this exrordinary line-up.

    Fantastic Show Fantastic Venue

by Jnorton68 on 5/28/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Hard to believe Crowded House could have sounded any better 35 years ago than they did Wednesday night. The venue, the Met in Philly was spacious, reminded me of a Broadway theater. Higher seats were much better than expected .

    Crowded House

by MurrayHillGirl on 5/28/23Beacon Theatre - New York

Legendary band, great show. Only minor gripe is that is was very distracting / annoying having the small children at the side of the stage wandering on and off all the time. I paid to see the band, not their kids!

    What and amazing show!

by Fran on 5/28/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Wasn't sure how the band would sound after all these years but they were spot on. The harmonies...the cool ethereal jams...great guitar work by Liam and Neil. Such a treat. Would see them again if they can still tour.

    Please don’t surprise us!

by Lori on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I love Crowded House. However, someone decided to put Neil Finn’s son Liam on as an opening act. The concert was not billed that way, he performed for 45 minutes, and wasn’t great. Consequently, I had to leave early because I had a 1 1/2 hour drive home. Disappointed.

    Amazing show!

by dcbirkbeck on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Neil sounds exactly as he did in the 90’s. His voice is just stellar, his musicality is phenomenal. His sons are multi instrumentalist like their father, and are just as talented. Liam was very entertaining as the opener as well. The band was witty, jovial and even took requests from the audience! Amazing all around!

Crowded House was fantastic! Sound was great! but…

by Peter on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

There’s was too much time between the opening act and Crowded House. Considering that the opener was a solo act, an extensive equipment change was not required so there was no reason for such a long delay.

    Great show, venue and staff

by On The Corner Mark on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I was looking forward to seeing Crowded House for many many years and finally got the chance to do it based around a very busy personal schedule. First time attending a show at The Met and I got to tell you what a beautiful venue with great acoustics. Easy in, accommodating staff, and easy out with a car share service.

    One for the history books!

by Buddy K on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

The Crowded House current lineup put on one of the best shows we have ever seen. The perfect mix of new material and the old favorites. Even the venue, The Metropolitan Opera, was great. Everyone left the show with a smile.

Very happy with the sound and sight lines.

by Ildi on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

First time at the Met Philly and we will be back. Staff was professional and we were very happy with the sound and sight lines at the venue. Drink prices are a little high, but there was a good selection.

    Wonderful show

by Jon on 5/27/23The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

The Met is a great place to see a show. The seats in the Loge area really tight and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the experience there is always a positive one.
