About

Creed is a multi-platinum rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida in 1994. The band, comprising lead vocalist Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti (guitar/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums), has sold over 53 million albums worldwide. Their 1999 album Human Clay — which features the hit single "With Arms Wide Open" — is one of the best-selling albums of all time in the U.S. "With Arms Wide Open" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2001. The post-grunge act disbanded in 2004, but have reunited twice: In 2009, they reunited to release their fourth album Full Circle and embark on multiple tours. Creed reunited for a second time in July 2023, and will embark on a massive run of tour dates in 2024.

I saw them on their last tour in 2002 when they came to the Palace of Auburn Hills, and I was really impressed. I thought that it was one of the best shows I've seen from a musical standpoint, and that they were stunning performers. Fast-forward to 2009, and while Scott Stapp's voice was a bit rougher than '02, he still pulled off an amazing show, and I think the rest of the band totally rocked, as well! Where I thought they made the biggest improvement was in the visuals! TONS of pyro, moving lights, and screens all made a great band a great presentation, as well! I loved the set list (all the faves were there, plus one new song), and I walked away from the show VERY happy------and satisfied. Usually, when you remember a band's great performance, the current one is lacking, but I must say that Creed lived up to their past, as well as gave us a glimpse of a fruitful future!

One of the best shows I seen all year! So good to see them back together and enjoying the experience, and so did we! And when Scott took his shirt off. . . .

I am so happy that Creed has reunited. The energy behind the show was great and reminded me of how much I missed them. This was my 4th time seeing them in concert. I definitely recommend this show but wish that they wouldn't schedule them so close together, Scott was losing his voice near the end.

  • Creed show Aug 25

by leftbehind on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

I would rate the Creed concert a 4 out of 5 stars. They played all the songs I wanted to hear but some of the songs you could barely hear the vocals over the guitars and the guitars at times sounded smeared and distorted. I wish the sound board could have done a better job with this. If every song had the clarity of Arms wide open then this could have been a spectacular performance. The light and pyrotechnics were pretty awesome given the stage size.

They haven't missed a beat during their hiatus. The band is tighter than ever with a much needed positive message for their audience.

  • Rockin' harder then ever!

by TnHoney on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent concert! Not as good as the Weathered tour at the Palace of Auburn Hills, but still unforgettable. Stage looked good. Pyrotechniques were great. Scotts voice sounded great. He really put everything he had into the preformance. Not much talking in between songs. They went into one song after another. The place was packed & the crowd was really pumped up! They played two new songs that really rocked! I think I'm going to like this new updated Creed sound!

  • Creed rocked it

by godsbest on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

the sound, the presentation, the songs they chose to sing were great (only song i don't like is "whats this life for"). only thing that could have been better is his mic could have been a bit clearer. long time fan of theres, this show was great and would recommend them to others.

Creed, especially Scott S., made a serious effort to make a comeback.

  • Creed is back on track!

by TropicsFan on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was good. This was my 4th time seeing Scott Stapp. We bought tickets too early apparently. We were in row Y, to the far right. We missed seeing the light show and backdrop due to poor seating. The sound was just so-so. The speakers were not placed well. But, as usual, Creed was great!

  • Amazing Reunion

by Mykey on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

It was a perfect night, great lawn seats, and an enthusiastic crowd. But most of all, Creed gave a magnificent performance. Scott was in great voice. Guitars and drums were powerful and driving. I could feel the vibration of the music pounding through the crowd and my heart. From the explosive fire to the raining sparks, the whole concert was unforgettable. I had been waiting since 2003 when I first got into the band to see them, then found out they had broken up. This was a thrill, and they didn't disappoint! They were tight like they had never broken up. What a great, great night!

  • Welcome back Creed

What a great show! Lots of great new music - and of course, the ol' favorites !

  • Creed rocked the house!!!

by rockdawg63 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Unbelievable show from the opening song Bullets right down to the 3 encores finishing with Higher. In between it was mostly all of the greatest hits plus 2 new songs - Full Circle and Overcome. Stage show had plenty of pyrotechnics. They front-loaded the show with all of the hard hitting rock songs that showcased Mark Tremonti's awesome guitar playing. Scott Stapp was full of energy and is still one of the best if not the best frontman in rock today. Here is the full setlist: Bullets Ode My Own Prison Say I Torn Never Die Full Circle What If Unforgiven What's This Life For Overcome Faceless Man With Arms Wide Open My Sacrifice Encores: One One Last Breath Higher

  • Creed ROCKED!!!!!!

They played a l0t of new stuff that I did not know, but we danced all night. Finished up solid with more familiar songs. It was a fun show.
