About

Creed is a multi-platinum rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida in 1994. The band, comprising lead vocalist Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti (guitar/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums), has sold over 53 million albums worldwide. Their 1999 album Human Clay — which features the hit single "With Arms Wide Open" — is one of the best-selling albums of all time in the U.S. "With Arms Wide Open" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2001. The post-grunge act disbanded in 2004, but have reunited twice: In 2009, they reunited to release their fourth album Full Circle and embark on multiple tours. Creed reunited for a second time in July 2023, and will embark on a massive run of tour dates in 2024.

  • Creed still great even though voice gone

by ThumperRocks on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

Creed Full Circle tour at DTE (formerly Pine Knob) in Detroit was very good. Unfortunately, I think Scott Stapp was sick or his voice burned out from touring again. The first four songs I was very disappointed--could barely hear him and he wasn't hitting the higher octaves. But as his throat warmed up it got much better. Regardless, the music was top notch--Tremonti always rocks it out! Video display was great too. Looking forward to the album release in October! So glad they are back together!!

  • A great concert of no holds bar straight-up rock

Creed was (is) great in your face rock-n-roll. Great musicians! Didn't need the special effects because the band sounded growlin' great! Have not heard that kind of kick-butt rock in years! Will go again to anything they put out. Excellent show.

  • Creed was Amazing, Best show seen all summer.

It was a beautiful night for a great set of bands. First to start us off wtih a home town band out of Grand Rapids, who did a fabulous job, Then Like a Storm rocked that stage all the way from New Zealand to bring out the headliner of the night Creed. Most of the crowd were on their feet the whole set singing along with the Band to their unforgettable lyrics and all inspiring music. There was a great stage presence preformed by the group and they did a great job of incorpating the audience. The show could have went on for another hour with no complaint from me. It was a great concert in a great venue, would encurage you all to go to a show there, and try and catch Creed again on another stop of their Full Circle tour.

  • Creed is better than ever!

by tgif1207 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Like others I had talked to, I was a little nervous...could they possibly be as good as before? ABSOLUTELY! And they look amazing too! Scott has been hittin the gym! My only disappointment...soooo wish that Hoobastank had opened for them like they are in the next several shows. Like a Storm was good, but Hoobastank...that would have been the icing on the cake!

  • awesome

by moyerm on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

creed was great, opening bands we not publicized and we unknown to most. so i was disappointed that they did not have a better known band like daughtry, saving able, popa roach, or hinder open for them

  • As usual, Creed wowed the crowd!

by GBall on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

My friend and I sat up close and I was afraid Stapp's voice wouldn't come over clear, but I sure was wrong! He sounded awesome and so did the band! And all the older , a little more obscure tunes we might not get to hear live again- like Torn and What If - I couldn't believe it. Stapp looked great but I did miss the long hair! Creed gave an incredible live performance -as always. Thanks guys, I have been waiting for 7 years! Can't wait for the CD.

  • So excited they are back-missed them ginormously!

by lteapot on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Crowd was on its feet from chord one to the end. Scott Stapp was the consummate showman-great interaction with the fans! Presentation and opening were impressive. It was moving to see so many Creed lovers singing along with every word after the bands long absence.

  • Creed took me higher!

by MisterK on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

By far the best concert of the year. I have been taking my family of four to many concerts covering a wide variety of artists from Tom Jones to Duran Duran and all agreed that Creed was the best.

  • Loved every minute!

by SWISHER on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

No disappointments here. I am looking forward to the next time around and hopefully we will not have to wait so long. The sound was great, but needed more clarity. Scott looked fabulous!!

the thing is i didnt expect to see the greatest show ive ever seen. i seen creed once before in atlanta on their weathered tour and scott didnt seem like he was in trying to be with the crowd. this time around they as a group showed us all even if for a quick tour that they cared about the fans ill always love creed i hope to God they stay together for their fans sake.. but i didnt like the promotion for alter bridges new album why would they do that at a creed concert

  • Awesome show!

by Creedfan2009 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show, great to see them back together! Scott Stapp was shirtless for the last few songs, that was a beautiful sight!

  • Awesome:)

  • Welcome back Creed

by Mack1234 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

After a 6 year hiatus, CREED IS BACK!!!! What a great concert last night. The weather was perfect and the fans were into the concert so much that even Scott Stapp had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn't sleeping!

  • Simply Amazing!

by Greezy on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! What more can be said? The opened with bullets and had an energy out of this world. I am not one to sit in concerts or stand in a confined area but, I would do it again any day. I've seen about 200 concerts including Queen and Kansas and Creed simply wiped my memory clean of every concert I have ever seen. They set the bar and instead of high, they set it out of this world. THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!!

  • Creed was awsome

by musicmagic on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

The band was energetic sounded good. An amazing light show.

  • Awesome show

by laurie1110 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

I never got to see them live back in the day, but this was truely a fantastic show and Im so glad I didnt miss it. The pyros and effects were really good. I was literally blown away in the 7th row! Camera crew did a good job getting close ups for the teleprompters for the folks out on the lawn. Mark was amazing and used a different guitar for every song and Scott is definitely back in true form and is in ab fab shape, which he proved by ripping off his soaking wet shirt!! Nice touch Scott!

  • Creed was awesome

by lownoxm on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

My 11 year old son and I attended and we thought Creed was awesome. We are both Creed / Tremonti fans. I was glad that they got together for this reunion tour / album. Hopefully this can lead to them staying together. Even though I am Alter Bridge fan, I think there is better chemistry with Scott at vocals than there is with Myles.

  • Creed kicked ass!

by IrishJak on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

On August 25th, creed delivered an adrenaline-pumping show that actually seemed to make the years of waiting for a reunion worth it. Creed's first tour since they broke up so many years ago was exciting enough, but throw in music from a new album, a great opener, a great touring partner, and plenty of pyrotechnics, and you get a show you will never forget.
