About

Creed is a multi-platinum rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida in 1994. The band, comprising lead vocalist Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti (guitar/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums), has sold over 53 million albums worldwide. Their 1999 album Human Clay — which features the hit single "With Arms Wide Open" — is one of the best-selling albums of all time in the U.S. "With Arms Wide Open" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2001. The post-grunge act disbanded in 2004, but have reunited twice: In 2009, they reunited to release their fourth album Full Circle and embark on multiple tours. Creed reunited for a second time in July 2023, and will embark on a massive run of tour dates in 2024.

  • Creed still has it!!

Concert rocked from start to finish. Was hoping to hear a taste of the new goods and they sounded great. The new songs reminded me more of the first album which was a great thing because yes I loved weathered but some songs I felt were starting to head in a pop direction. Full Circle looks to be back to rock!

  • Creed rocked but the sound was........

by UncleSpence on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

We arrived late and missed the opening acts. Creed comes on shortly after 9. The Setlist closely mirrored the ones from recent shows except they flipped Higher and My Sacrifice as the ends to the set and the encore respectively. There were some glaring issues with the sound. On the first couple songs, particularly ODE, the music overpowered Scott Stapp. The third song, My Own Prison was a bit better, by the fifth song Torn, they were getting it more in balance. They could never cover up two things. First Scott's voice fell short many times. He has a cold, the tour is wearing on him, or he doesn't have the stamina like he used to. The second issue is that Mark's guitar was distorted and never clean the whole night. A premier lead guitar player should not have that problem. The big guys make sure of it. I am giving you the negatives. It was great to see them together again. They rocked. They played the songs you wanted to hear. The crowd was slow to get into it. It took till the end of the set and WTLF and WAWO to get them going. The crowd just stood and watched for quite awhile.

The concert was good and I was pleased to see them together again. I wish they had played more of their ballads and "oldies."

  • UNBELIEVABLE

wow, the first time we saw creed and it was an extraordinary experience. from the opening song "bullets" this band played though many though not all their hits. I was hoping they would play pity for a dime but i cant complain they played for 1 hour 45 minutes of non stop hits....while playing three songs from their new cd "full circle" . Tremonti playing spectacular guitar to match stapps vocals this was a non stop energized rock fest. the stage show was very good, I am not sure i have ever seen a better show....I would give this an easy amazing rating. By the time they came out for their oncore and finished with :"higher" they had whipped the crowd into such a frenzie that will be hard for us to experience again....until the next creed show i am sure....

  • Creed rocked Michigan. Best summer concert!

by Jayner on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Never seen Creed before but love their music. Estatic they are still together to continue their original style. A mix of rock, grunge, pop and alternative music that cateres to all ages. Scott Stapp vocals are amazing. Love the stage set too!

  • Creed - Worth the Wait!!!

by mbm728 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

It has been 7 years since Creed last performed in Detroit and I was unable to attend. The show last night was definietly worth the wait. By far, this show was the best concert I have been to in years. The band was absolutely stellar!

  • Not as good as before

by scottt0125 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 3 out of 5

The actual music was really good and pretty clear. Scott Stapp's voice is not what it use to be. The opening song, Bullets, was terrible vocally. I would say Stapp sounded good about 60% of the time. On a side note, Stapp is the biggest drama queen ever. His actions on stage were a mix of a hip-hop artist and a mime acting like the sky is falling. Over all I liked it. I hope they tighten up as a band to sound like the Creed of old.

  • Creed was GREAT!!

by AlwaysFun on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Creed was GREAT!! I missed them the first time they were out and was disappointed when they split! When I heard they were back together, I couldn't wait. Well, it was worth the wait and the anticipation! I was more geeked about this concert than a lot of others I went to and it was all everyone said it would be...and more! If you get the opportunity to go, go! You won't be disappointed!

  • Too many new songs

by Bob13 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 3 out of 5

They played way too many new songs for a casual fan such as myself. The pyrotechnics were excellent as well as the light show.

  • Welcome Back Creed!!!

by Riz5 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show @ Pine Knob/DTE. The band sounded like they never broke up. Scott Stapp sounded as good as ever. Now hopefully he can hold it together for the rest of the tour. They played all the old stuff and 2 songs off the new album that sounded really good. The pyrotechnics were great and synched nicely to the music. Well worth the coin to go see them. Great show and great crowd. You will not be disappointed.

  • CREED IS BACK!

by HicksChick on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

I waited a few years for this well worth the waitt! They were AWESOME! They gave it there ALL!!!!!!!

  • Stapp putting it ALL out there!

by kalbert on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

No one could claim that Scott Stapp was just "going through the motions" last night. Man he was pushing so hard to give a great show. My 12 year old son said that is sounded like his microphone had been turned down. I agree...his vocals are so powerful and not sure if that was some of the bands effort to "balance" how good they were with him but he's incredible. No question!

  • Creed rocked!

by mamabear272 on 8/26/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

I have wanted to see Creed since way back in the day and they broke up before I got the chance. I finally got to see the show I've been waiting for more than 10 years to see. It was way better than I could have ever expected!!

If u missed this concert it was a big mistake. Creed came back 100% They sang alot of their old songs and 2 of their songs from the new album.Scott must have worked out in the gym . He was looking great. Mark was amazing on the guitar. The night was so hot . I could feel the pyros from 14 seats down. Scotts shirt was soaking wet.The best part of the show was the oncore when Scott finally took his shirt off. What a night!

I saw these dude's when they first started. They were kick butt. Can only be better this time around. Although i did here that Alter Bridge would be playing also which is "Creed" but with a different singer. Does anybody know if this is true?

  • Better than ever!!!

by ARPG on 8/14/09Susquehanna Bank Center - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

The show last night in Camden, NJ was even better than the one I saw in 2002, which was an amazing concert. I am so glad that Creed is back around and I can't wait to purchase their new CD. Absolutely amazing performers! I'm trying to get tickets now to this weekends show, too. Amazing comeback!!
