Counting Crows are a Grammy and Academy Award-nominated rock band that have sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Behind popular singles “Mr. Jones” and “Round Here,” Counting Crows’ debut album August and Everything After (1993) sold 7 million copies and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard 200. The sorrowful, roots-driven vocals of singer Adam Duritz transcended the alt-rock charts with 1996’s Recovering the Satellites. Fueled by the success of “A Long December,” Recovering the Satellites reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, cementing the Counting Crows as one of thegreatest adult alternative artists of all time.

Horrible show. Sound was bad. Counting Crows were off and screwing up repeatedly. Really disappointing...
The venue was great, but I paid to hear the Counting Crows play! The opening band, Augustana, was good, but they came out and sang about half the songs with the Counting Crows. This was fun at the beginning, but then it just got lame.
Augustana is a great addition to the Crows show. The two of them together are wonderful! I will always return...yes I will return!!
Counting Crows and Augustana put on a fantastic show at PNC Pavillion last night. Having never heard Augustana before, I was super pumped to discover them. Spunky little band with TONS of musical versatility among its members. Loved it. Very impressive. So I was equally pleased when Counting Crows integrated Augustana in its show. The two bands created some really fun and super energetic moments through their spontaneity. Counting Crows rocked hard. Always appreciate when a band brings true energy to the stage.
The show was breathtaking. It was utterly amazing. On top of that duritz really took it to a new level, pulling out his bands friends for augustana. He gets into it, making everyone get into it. He pulled out great backing stories for "Miami" and "Why Should You Come When I Call". Everyone had a great time. Immergluck (my opinion) needs better rocking out skills, and the encore was a little lame. Should've ended with "Round Here" and made everyone cry. This show was the best no less. I felt happy and sad. I cried at memories that got pulled up and at sights i saw. When a man gives all his emotion to everyone it gets pretty human. He brings life, and love. Duritz and the crows made my life special, this performance made a sweet memory. Wish i could have seen c will, my lost friend.
Simply amazing! What a great band! Great songs and flawless musicians! Augustana was the opening act - dont know much of their stuff but a great band! And several times throughout the night both bands shared the stage - vocals that flat out give you goosebumps!!! I look forward to next summer!!!
they were both fabulous. augustana sang several songs with counting crows. great energy and adam duritz sounded great as usual.
Pretty sad when the backup band was better than the main venue. So loud that the sound was distorted. Couldn't understand any lyrics through the distortion. Went crazy with the songs. Love this band and was really disappointed. We and many others left early.
Decent show...dont know if I would see them again...the back-up band played with them most of the show (Augustana) not a bad group just obviously new to the concert scene. Glad I went but got my fill!
I attended my 10th counting crows concert last night (wahoo!), and I must say that they have never disappointed me. Adam was in high spirits, brought a ton of energy to the stage, and the band, as always, kept up with his sporadic improv and talented mid-song changes. Many of the songs were played in collaboration with Augustana, a group of young and talented musicians that I imagine could play with... well, anyone. There were times where I thought to myself, "Wow, it would be awesome of Augustana actually covered this Crows' song" as the lead singers voice added renewed emotion and power to the Counting Crows' songs of yesterday. Disappointments - the encore, while impressive, were all performed with Augustana and were all covers. I would have loved to have seen an ending with Adam and his piano... Walkaway, Holiday in Spain... however, I've seen those endings before and I suppose his past encores have spoiled me. I rated this show as 4 stars, as I have seen better Counting Crows shows in the past.
We had no idea who the opening act was for the show and were more than pleasantly surprised with Augustana. The show got even better when the CCs continued to invite them back on stage to perform with them - the lead vocalists sounded AMAZING together. The only bad part of the show was the last 20 minutes when a drunken spectator decided we wanted to hear him scream more than the music. The performance itself was 5 stars.
Felt that the concert was a little disorganized...played too many slow songs back to back...was hoping to hear more songs off of their "Recovering the Satellites" album. Pretty good time, though, just a little disappointed.
Counting Crows with Augustana? What an incredible show. Augustana did a few songs first at 8:00 and then joined Counting Crows for many of their songs. Counting Crows took the stage around 9:20 and front man Adam Duritz's voice was beautiful. He sounded great and looked great and both groups together harmonized very well. Overall it was a fantastic show. The crowd loved them and you could tell they were having a great time on stage.
The Counting Crows along with Augustana make for an unbelievable show. I hope to see them again next year!
Great rendition of Rain King and Long December. A lot of energy . Adam is very intense and obviously gets totally into the production. Awesome beatles stuff with a very eclectic encore. Also saw some Van Morrison influence. Would love to see a more acousticy lyrics focused set.
