  • SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

by PVH on 9/10/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

I LIKE CORRINE BAILEY RAE OLDER MUSIC AND COULD NOT WAIT TO SEE HER LIVE. SO DISAPPOINTED THAT SHE CHOSE TO SING ALL OF HER NEW MUSIC WHICH WAS VERY DIFFERENT. THE AUDIENCE ASKED HER TO SING SOME OF HER OLDER MUSIC THAT WE WANTED TO HEAR. SHE TOTALLY IGNORE US AND START ASKING THE AUDIENCE THEIR UNIQUE NAMES. THAT TOOK AWAY FROM SONGS SHE COULD HAVE SUNG. I UNDERSTAND SHE WANTED TO PROMOTE HER NEW ALBUM BUT MIX IT IN WITH YOUR OTHER MUSIC THAT WE CAME TO HEAR. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME THAT I WILL SUPPORT CORRINE BAILEY RAE. SO WANTED A REFUND. NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN. THAT WAS A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY THAT I CAN NEVER GET BACK. THAT’S HOW DISAAPOINTED WE WERE!!! I BOUGHT FOUR TICKETS, ALL I CAN DO IS SHAKE ME HEAD.

She only sang music from her new album and I didn’t connect. I was looking forward to her hits and we in fact left early. So disappointed!!

  • An Exciting Show

by Music Lover on 9/10/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed the show. It was nice to hear new songs and a variety of tempos. It would have been nice to hear one or two already released songs. My only complaint was the show started an hour late.

Corinne stuck to her plan and sang songs from newly released album; but doesn't everyone go to a concert to sing along with the artist? The new stuff isn't typical Corinne. In fact, I felt I had been dragged into an LSD trip. I stayed until the end hoping she'd sing something old only to hang around for one single solitary fave. I'm glad I've attended her previous DMV concerts and enjoyed her throughly.

  • Disappointed.

by Lesa on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

If it was going to be an album release/listening party, then it should have been advertised as that. Not one old song was performed. And much of the audience (including myself) didn’t even know there was a new album coming out! I, along with several other people, walked out after waiting for over an hour for at least one recognizable song. I’m all for artists introducing their audience to their new music. But the whole show should not be dedicated to this without advertising it as such. To make matters worse, this new album went in a completely different direction from her original music. It was a whole different genre. One that was definitely not my style. I fully support an artist’s right to try new things, ideas, genres, etc. But I didn’t appreciate being blindsided with it. Especially when I paid my money to see the artist that I thought I knew and loved. I left the show very disappointed as I was looking forward to finally seeing Corinne for the first time after loving her for all these years. I fully support her evolving in her artistry. I just wish it wasn’t on my dime unexpectedly. I was truly disappointed, especially given my level of excitement going into the show.

  • The Experience

by Gooch on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Corinne’s new album is very different from her traditional style. I did not like this new album and it was difficult to connect to the music. Didn’t like that there wasn’t assigned seating in the theatre. The price of tickets was expensive for the experience I got.

  • Magical

by Disappointed on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Corrine Bailey Rae and as a regular concert attendee I really enjoyed myself. She also came down into the audience and engaged with the crowd between sets. I also purchased her CD as well as a sweatshirt. The venue , Lincoln Theatre was a perfect choice. Hopefully she will return back to DC in the near future.. BRAVO!!👏🏽👏🏽

  • Disappointed.

by Tam on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

This was as my friend called it, a listening party. I had no idea she was ONLY going to perform her new album. Which might I add is depressing. I am a big fan but I left feeling like I wish I stayed home. Aside from her beautiful voice and maybe 2 songs, it was not a great event.

  • Horrible

by Que on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

I am A huge Corinne Bailey Rae fan but I must say I was highly disappointed in this concert. Corinne sang all songs from her new CD "Black Rainbow"and the songs were very dark and depressing and were not the Corinne Bailey Rae music that any of us are used to. I recommend that you never do a concert where you are singing only new songs it's always good to mix it up. The highlight was this concert ending.

  • Not what I expected

by Itskismet on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

When I purchased my ticket, I expected to hear from Corinne of old - some of her ballads from the beginning, spanning up to her latest released album. What I DIDN’T expect was a dissertation about each song from her yet to be released album, which included songs that strayed far from that for which she’s known. I was disappointed, to say the least - and I wasn’t alone.

  • Awful.

by Rainbow on 9/9/23Lincoln Theatre - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Terrible, Corraine did not sing any of her songs that made her popular, famous, and that established her as a great singer with a good voice.

  • OVERWHELMED

by SM on 4/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

After flying from Phx to Charleston SC and having the concert canceled, I was able to see her in Phx and the performance was BRILLIANT!!! Corinne is and her band are a vibe!!!!! Now of we can get Corrine and Esperanza Spaulding together in Phx that would be MARVELOUSNESS .

  • This was my first Corinne Bailey Rae concert!

I thought she and her amazing band was excellent, and provided awesome entertainment from start to finish.

  • Wonderful

by EGIRL on 7/23/22Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was nice and intimate. Was celebrating my daughter’s birthday and the attendant offered to seat us FRONT ROW! Thank you so much for an amazing night. Corinne was INTOXICATING!

  • Excellent Performance

    by Jacqueline H on 7/23/22Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Corinne is a consummate songwriter, vocalist, and performer. Her voice was in amazing form. Unlike at her 2017 (or 2018) performance in another venue, the sound was mixed exquisitely, so I heard every word she sang. She took me to the moon, "God help me," and then, back down to a bit of church. However, I would have preferred the balcony to sitting in row W, on the main level. But live and learn. I'll choose wiser next time. I hope she returns to the Moore soon.

  • Exceptional Show!

by S. C. on 7/20/22Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Corinne was phenomenal. She was personable, kind and sang her face off! Her band was awesome as well. She performed all of her hits as well as a couple of covers and a couple of song i didn't know. I will definitely go see her whenever she returns to Vegas.

  • Surreal.

by Nancy on 7/20/22Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I waited years to see the artist that inspired me to get a guitar and whose music helped me through my divorce. I still can't believe I saw her onstage. Her vocals are real. Awesome night!

  • Pure Joy!

    by DH3 on 7/20/22Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The show was so good that I did not want it to end! Corinne looked amazing and sounded even better. The venue was clean, small and not overly crowded. I really enjoyed the old feel of the theater and the history of the building. I will be going back in a month for another show. Hope its as good as the Corinne show was. I just moved here from DC and its nice to see the old style theaters here as well. Thank you Moore Theater.....see you soon.

  • One of the top highlights of my journey

by Terrence on 7/20/22Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Corinne Bailey Rae’s performance at The Moore Theatre was right on time. I was happy that we purchased the VIP experience; the intimate time with her and band mates was priceless and greatly appreciated. Following the past few challenging years, this was such good food for the body, mind and soul.

  • This was a great venue and a fun show.

by Benjamin on 7/20/22Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Corinne and her band seemed to be having fun and they put on a great performance. We liked Malia who opened too.
