Connecticut Sun History
The Connecticut Sun are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Launched as the Orlando Miracle in 1999, the franchise was purchased in 2003 by the Mohegan Tribe, who became the first Native American tribe to own a professional sports team, and moved them to their current home in Uncasville, Connecticut. The Sun have advanced to four WNBA Finals, in 2004, 2005, 2019 and 2022, and topped the Eastern Conference five times. Sun players have earned six All-WNBA First Team selections and two MVP awards, for Tina Charles in 2012 and Jonquel Jones in 2021. In both 2023 and 2024, the Connecticut Sun advanced to the first round of the WNBA postseason.

Mohegan Sun Arena, home of the Connecticut Sun, sits inside the Mohegan Sun casino and resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. The 9,323-seat facility opened in 2001 and has hosted a wide range of events from concerts to wrestling event to bull riding competitions. Mohegan Sun Arena has also held several WNBA Finals matches, as well as WNBA All-Star games, in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2015.

My team lost but the game was loads of fun to watch. I wish more people supported women's sports. These women are terrific athletes who play their hearts out.

Seats were great and the SUN WON! Seats were close to the end of the isle. Easy to exit.
Seeing the players in person for the first time was so exciting!! The plays take on a special feel seeing them in person. My 9 y.o. granddaughter was with me & saw her first women's basketball game. She is on her school basketball team & was so happy to see a possible future for herself. Shooting of T-shirts was really fun. The only problem was getting any up to the balcony. We are definitely lookiing forward to our next game.

This was the first time to see a CT Sun game and it was fantastic!! I purchased the tickets for my friend's birthday and we had a great time. We met friends, also, and enjoyed the Barbeque event that weekend. Food, music, the casino and the game...who could ask for more. Will definitely do it again!!
I chose 4 stars because it was a good game and the Sun won. Seats were not great. Frustrating to see all the empty seats in better locations that are never available when you try to purchase.

Mohegan arena for basketball is always good. Could have a bigger variety of food at stands. $2.00 hot dogs were good.
Loved going to the game, disappointed in how the team played. I really hope that one day the CT Sun can win in the playoffs. Of course, some better qualified referees wouldn't hurt.
The game was a little sloppy but it was exciting. Both teams are going to the playoffs so that made the game even more exciting as we were trying to figure how the teams would be seeded going to the playoffs.

excellent sporting event, as usual. will continue to go on the weekend games. I live in long island !!! the WNBA just keeps getting better every year I have been a fan for 15 years!
