Connecticut Sun History
The Connecticut Sun are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Launched as the Orlando Miracle in 1999, the franchise was purchased in 2003 by the Mohegan Tribe, who became the first Native American tribe to own a professional sports team, and moved them to their current home in Uncasville, Connecticut. The Sun have advanced to four WNBA Finals, in 2004, 2005, 2019 and 2022, and topped the Eastern Conference five times. Sun players have earned six All-WNBA First Team selections and two MVP awards, for Tina Charles in 2012 and Jonquel Jones in 2021. In both 2023 and 2024, the Connecticut Sun advanced to the first round of the WNBA postseason.

I was impressed with the cohesiveness they displayed. A long time UConn Husky fan, I love watching the Sun - with all the former Huskys on board. I do have to say that Diana Taurasi has always been one of my favorites - and she will always be a Connecticut Husky! Glad to see her also play well - as long as the Sun pulled out the win!

We sat in the endzone, right up close to the action. What a great time they had! Concessions are fairly priced, the arena has a great layout, and the people working the event were helpful and polite!
