It was nice to see Conan back in shape! Now we really wished he was back on TV!

This show is amazing. Conan sings a lot of songs with the band. His stand-up is hilarious and so is Andy's. You can tell they were having lots of fun on stage.

The redhead did not let me down!

by Ellykay7 on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

Legally Prohibited consisted of all the parts we know and love (Andy Richter, bits from Late Night) and branched out to poke fun at his recent and current predicaments. Filled with music, guest stars and goofiness, it was exactly what I hoped to see when I impulsively snatched up these tickets. It was sorta worth it. Team COCO!!!

It's like seeing an old friend!

by KyopoBaeksu on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

If you're a Conan fanatic, you will be . But I couldn't really give it any more than a few stars because once the joy of seeing one my favorite performers live wore off, I realized that the show was really pretty mediocre. From what I can tell, they spent a lot of time and effort to add some local flavor. The San Francisco show referenced some local businesses and personalities, which added a touch of class. There's a lot of music throughout the show, but it was so satisfying just to see him performing again. Can't wait til his new show on TBS!

    Conan O'Brien Legally Prohibited tour

by Dmcsean on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

I love Conan, yet I was slightly disappointed in this show. The first 30 minutes or so started off very funny. But, after that I felt that there was a little too much music and not enough comedy from Conan. It was great to see him in person & all as well as Andy Richter, but the songs just didn't "do it" for me. A few other gems included the "Walker Texas Ranger" bit and the writer, Deon Cole, was absolutely hillarious! Another disappointment was that we paid $250/EACH for our tickets which were supposed to include a few mementos - the staff knew NOTHING about it. Poor management if you ask me.

    Conan is the man

by fotcfan on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

Conan's show was awesome. He could sit there and just talk, and it would be a great show, but he really put on a fun variety show, filled with singing and dancing, guest appearances (Triumph, Masturbating Bear). Chris Isaak even made an appearance and sang a few songs with Conan. The show was really fun, and I can't wait for this guy to come back to TV. TBS! The opening act, Reggie Watts, was really funny as well.

Jay Leno Could Never Do This!

by davidmello on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

Just like he did at the Orpheum three years ago, Conan O'Brien wowed his San Francisco fans with a great show at the Masonic. He had plenty of jokes about his ouster at NBC, great music with back-up dancers, and had a wonderful set with surprise guest Chris Isaak. There were also appearances by certain characters that may or may not be allowed to be there, but so what? Seeing the Masturbating Bear, and his new Panda disguise, and Triumph was great. Still, it's hard to compete with an inflatable bat Conan bought from Meat Loaf, and it really looks more like a zombie teddy bear. Actually, it looks more like a Fox affilite owner who thinks endless reruns of Two and a Half Men at 11 PM is better than Conan If they plan to make a concert DVD, they better do it.

    Conan was Cocotastic!

by Malcriada on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

The show was hiliarious and full of energy by my favorite late night host ever, Mr. Conan O'Brien. He had the stamina of a 20 year old man. The opening acts by Reggie Watts, then Deon Cole, and a suprised guest by Chris Isaak was like 'the cherry on top' of a already huge sundae. For about 3 hours, the show consisted of music, comedy, and the occasional sexual innuendos by the fans. The only critism I have is not with the show itself, but with the setup of the projection screens. It was really hard to see the videos from both ends of the balcony. I would have liked them to angle the screens towards the audience on the side of the stage.

    Conan, Conan, Conan!

by PennyFoolish on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

The problem with too much good stuff is the inability to digest it all adequately in the time you have. There was too much. As expected, Conan delivered. I laughed throughout the show. He started strong, and while the end was a bit weaker, it was still fantastic. The only problem with the show, if there was a problem, was A FEW TOO MANY MUSICAL NUMBERS. Maybe he was trying to pad it out, but it felt a bit puffy. Some great moments: Reggie Watts, the warm-up act. I had no idea who he was, but he was random and surprising. He switched effortless among characters and accents, at one point a British college professor. The funniest bits were his songs, including an R&B-inspired one where he serenades his girlfriend through surveillance technology. It's really good. His band came on next, and it was electric. A great warm-up, and I didn't realize La Bamba could sing. And then a montage, and Conan did a lengthy stand-up bit about being in San Francisco and talking about his recent loss of a show, complaining that yes, there are characters out there, less-deserving, who still have their own show: like the Kardashians and the meerkats on Animal Planet. In the style of variety shows of the past, Conan brought back everything we remembered loving: Andy Richter, the Masturbating Bear, the Walker Texas Ranger clips. And there were two great ads about two S.F. mainstays: the Fisherman's Wharf bushman and the glass dildo factory. But the one strand that dominated the show was music. Music all the time. Yes, it was funny, like the one where Conan talked about his middle class upbringing, and the one where he was looking to get his own show again (using "On the Road Again," as a template), writing the defining pop song, rockabilly. Chris Isaac was the musical guest, and he played some songs I didn't really know. After hearing of the other musical acts like Pearl Jam and Spoon, this was probably the most disappointing one. But he is usually game and really nice. The atmosphere was warm, but unlike the show, it did not feel too spontaneous. I imagine it's really hard to keep things fresh on a tour like this, where you can't be too timely. How would it be like at the end of the tour? I hope he finds a way to be as enthusiastic as he was on Thursday.

Cone Zone plus Reggie Watts = Epic

by Jrosenthal on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

Reggie Watts started the show off right with some amazing numbers, then a quick break and then "The Band" came out... from there it was just smile after smile, laugh after laugh, and my voice is so horse that I can barely complete my actual job. This is one of the best shows I've ever been to and I wish Conan would go on tour more often. 1 part comedy, 1 part rock show, 1 part commercials (Andy slayed it), 1 part light show, and all parts awesome.

    Conan fun with some surprises

by SuperAwesomeGuy on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

I think it's best to go in with as little knowledge of the show as possible as there are some surprises and each show is a little customized to where he is performing. It was definitley a blast. Die-hard Conanites will get to know a little more of him besides what's on his show. Others will love him for his range of talents.

Although there might have been a few too many musical bits, the Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour was an ABSOLUTE can't miss for Conan fans.

    Good show!

by Checoiberg on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

It was a very good show. However the true quality of Conan is his impromptu reaction to guests, which for obvious reasons was missing here. As a Conan fan it is still a must!

Conan is one of a kind!

by ewsr on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

Saw Conan O'Brien at Masonic Hall, SF last night. Brilliant, clever, silly, fabulous music and excellent comedy. The band from ALL Conan TV shows was great....all present and accounted for except Max Weinberg.....La Bamba and other members of the horn section were unstoppable and added so much energy. I'm so happy he is returning to TV, but seeing him live is not the regular Conan experience. The bear, Triumph the comic insult dog, Conan in Eddie Murphy's suit from the movie 'Raw', the pre-recorded video bits all added hilarity. He's just happy to be on the road and in front of 'his people'.

Conan is awesome live! Great show!!

by Willowboy on 4/23/10Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium - San Francisco

90 minutes of fun filled entertainment with rarely a lull in the action. Great skits, video clips were clever and excellent music. The band was great, good warm-up and guest comic. Great venue and a very good crowd. Well run production.
