Comedy Cellar (Las Vegas) Live
The longest-running comedy club in New York, Comedy Cellar is where audiences discovered such giants of stand-up as Ray Romano, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer and Dave Chappelle. Now fans in Las Vegas can discover more future stars — and catch established favorites, too — at the Comedy Cellar's thrilling new West Coast location.
Opened in 2018 as a 300-seat venue at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the Comedy Cellar offers the same intimacy and energy as the fabled club that inspired it. In creating the new outpost with Caesars Entertainment, Comedy Cellar owner Noam Dworman has replicated many of the original's most distinctive features as well as its special atmosphere.
Comedy fans can expect to see great sets by veterans of the Cellar's two New York clubs along with the best in new national and international talent. They may also be lucky enough to be there for spontaneous performances by comedy superstars playing elsewhere on the Strip.
Comedy Cellar (Las Vegas) Background
The Comedy Cellar's history began in 1982, when comic Bill Grundfest established a new club underneath a Greenwich Village restaurant. With a more intimate feel than many of New York's comedy hotspots, the Comedy Cellar soon became not just a space for the scene's best new talents to perform but a place where they wanted to hang out, too.
The roster of comedians who became regulars at the Cellar includes Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and Aziz Ansari. It's where Jerry Seinfeld chose to shoot much of his 2002 documentary Comedian. It can also be seen in stage segments in Louis C.K.'s series Louie and Chris Rock's film Top Five.
In 2018, Noam Dworman — who inherited the Cellar from his father Manny — opened the club's first West Coast location in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Closely replicating the original's look and atmosphere, it has become the place to see the country's funniest performers in the kind of warm, intimate room that comedians themselves love best.
It was great. First visit but will definitely return
Great show from the MC to all four acts. Each had you in stiches all night. Well done guys, we’ll done!
From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave they roll out the red carpet!!
We enjoyed the comedy show! The comedians were funny and engaging. The venture was relaxing and cozy. Can’t wait to return to Las Vegas to catch the Comedy Cellar again!
Great show! Hilarious talent!!! Service was wonderful. I highly recommend this venue
The talent at this place is amazing. This is our 2nd time to visit the Comedy Cellar in Las Vegas, and even though it was a Monday night the acts we saw were quite good. Dustin Ybarra was just plain great! The hosting and security staff was generally unfriendly and a little bit over the top, but the comedians more than made up for their jerkishness.
A must see. Intimate venue. Very funny comedians. If you sit up front, be prepared to be roasted. enjoyed immensely. Would see again!
Went on a Tuesday night and laughed the entire time. Getting in was extremely easy. They have a bar and a server who brings drinks to your table. I highly recommend.
My husband and I booked last minute tickets to the Comedy Cellar and had so much fun!
There were four comics that took the stage. We were there on a Saturday night 9:30pm show. We were in the middle section and liked being a little further back from the stage. There’s only drink service now. You could order snacks previously, but I guess it changed due to Covid? There were 3 male comics and 1 female. The last comic was the best, but we laughed throughout the show. We are in our early 50s and thought most of the show was relatable.
Tickets were a great price! Comedians were funny as Heck!! Staff was friendly!! Did I say comedians were Funny as heck? Good show!! Will be returning!!
I had a great time at the comedy cellar. The line up was great and very funny. The service was very friendly and prompt. Drink was poured well. It’s Vegas so everything is expensive. Crowd was great for a Wednesday. There are always some who can’t leave their politics at home and just laugh.
We went to Comedy Cellar on Sunday Night! What a great place. True comedy cellar experience. The host was funny so as 4 comedians we saw. would love to be back!
My husband and I loved all the comedians that performed. We were sat all the way in the back at a very skinny table with 3 other couples where we often bumped knees with them (we bought the cheapest tickets, so we weren’t too upset). Other than that, we had a great time and laughed the whole night. Would go again.
We are so happy we decided to catch the show the one night we were traveling through Vegas/staying at the Rio. The show we attended was a Saturday night, 7:30pm June 24th. We had no idea who the performers would be, and were excited to recognize a couple comedians- including Michael Yo. Chloe Hillyard's set was before Michael Yo, and she was great! We sat at the front of one of the far back tables, which gave us a good view even being in the far back. The drinks were great, the staff was very friendly. We'll go again in the future!
Bought tickets based on the hype around Jackie Fabulous. Arrived excited to see her live, only to get to the last act and IT WASN'T JACKIE!! Allan Harvey was great, the others....meh...left a little disappointed.
The MC was hilarious. We had 4 acts. The first two were great. Engaging and funny. They both engaged the audience in their acts. Some what teasing but enjoyable. The third act was some guy with a guitar. He was terrible. The point of his act was to have the audience call out random songs and he would sing a “joke” about it. Our fourth act was a lady who was okay. Older and went on about being a lesbian. The Comedy Cellar is at the RIO in Vegas. It is a really long walk from the strip. Uber there. The hotel is also run down. To get into the show you are scanned by a metal detector. I made a joke with the bouncer, should I be worried or packing. He reassured me it’s just precautionary measures. You aren’t required to purchase a beverage. If you are looking for Vegas glamorous this isn’t it. It has more of a laid back atmosphere. Don’t need to dress up. Come as you are type place. I did enjoy the show. It was the authentic experience I was looking for.
The comedy cellar has a reputation for having known comics. Out of four comedians one was funny. I’ve been to many comedy clubs in this one just did not hit the mark.
I thought the price was fair for the talent that was displayed drink minimum was a little pricey.
Great! Fun environment and great comedians. Would recomend
