Come From Away on Tour
The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.
Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!
The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
Lots of laughs and cries very entertaining. Heavy topic (911 disaster) but a heartwarming story entertaining songs.
Excellent production held back by sound problems in the auditorium
Upbeat, uplifting statement about people being their best in terrible times.
I had heard the story around this musical, but this was beyond expectations! The music was great and the cast was wonderful! Spectacular story and performance!
So well done. Gripping from the very start. Would highly recommend.
This group rose to the challenge of presenting what I consider to be a flawlessly constructed theater project. Watching this play should be a spiritual experience and it was every bit of that ! The case was exceptional and the set was great !!!! The musicians are part of the cast of this show and these musicians were incredible. Totally successful !
It made me laugh, it made me cry, it was eye opening. The energy level throughout was amazing and these are people's true stories. There was not one bad actor . Just amazing. You won't forget it...I would happily see it again.
From the moment the show started until the end I was amazed. The show has a very powerful message about kindness, and how you can do anything you put your mind to. My friend and I were amazed at the acting and singing that took place in this show. Everyone was wonderful and we feel the show was cast perfectly. I love how things were shown as realistic as possible and the diversity of the passengers was apparent even though there were only twelve actors on the stage. I would definitely go see this show again.
This show is the best I've seen!! It brought many feelings...laughter. joy, sadness, humor etc. I have traveled to Broadway and saw shows like Lion King, Wicked and many others but this definitely was on the top.
Great show, actors transitioned between role very well. Smooth presentation. I would go a second time
My husband and I enjoyed everything about this show, such incredible talent, set changes and music, highly recommend!
The retelling of the true stories that happened on the days after 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland were uplifting, sad and joyous.
Loved the show and upfront prices. The seating charts were easy to use and our tickets were great! Nice experience with me + 3 friends ( and special.pricing). Would do this again.
A very well done production by talented actors. The story line was a perfect balance of sadness and how life goes on.
I went both nights since this is my favorite musical, after seeing the first performance there was no way I was missing the second. Even dragged a few friends & coworkers along. I saw it years ago in Toronto and this experience was just as good as my first time seeing the show, if not better. The casts comedic timing was 10/10 and they sounded amazing. You could’ve told me they were the original cast and I would've believed you, that’s how beautiful and amazingly they all were when performing. The standin's also did an amazing job, and deserves a shout out! Loved the time I had, and am so thankful it came to Utica ❤️
Best musical I have seen in years. And it brought me to tears!
I was a little concerned about the topic of this show. I remember 9/11 as if it were yesterday, at least I thought I did. I got a few reminders of things that I had forgotten. This show is so well done. The actors are on the move throughout the performance and a few actors play several roles. The additional characters are shown to the audience through a quick and simple costume change. The background changes just a few times. Scene changes are brought about through the use of a grouping of chairs. Sometime these chairs are seats on a plane, sometimes seats on a bus, sometimes seats in a bar or the school gym. There are bits of levity throughout to help lighten the serious content. This show reminds us that even in our darkest days, there are those out there who are willing to help, even those they do not know and may never see again.
The show was amazing. Great actors and actresses. They really tugged at my heartstrings. The struggles and emotions were real and brought tears to my eyes. Being a true story, it gave me hope in humankind and was very inspiring. It was my second time seeing this show and I would definitely see it again. I would highly recommend this show.
I didn’t know quite what to expect, however, I laughed, cried, and clapped for the sad but true reminder of that fateful day. The show portrayed the events surrounding the experiences of 9/11 and its impacts the world over. We all had our memories of what happened, but couldn’t help but want to embrace and help the town and its visitors as we watched them experience each moment. A must see!
The show was packed. The quality of the performance was excellent. The only real negative was that people were still filing in at the proposed start time, so the start was delayed by about 15 minutes. The energy of the full venue was worth the delayed starting time.
