About

Inspire Today. Imagine Tomorrow.

Here at Columbus Children’s Theatre (CCT), our mission is to inspire, enrich and empower the imaginations of children and their families through live theatre and theatre education.

At Columbus Children's Theatre we educate and involve young people of all backgrounds in the theatre arts through our 3 core programs; Performance Series, CCT Academy and Professional Touring Company. Through our programs we foster self-esteem and self-discovery by emphasizing discipline, integrity, team-building, and communication skills in a positive and creative environment. We promote access to theatre arts for families who do not have regular opportunities to appreciate theatre in their lives because of either economic, cultural, or other barriers.

    Great Children’s Show

by Anonymous on 7/2/18McConnell Arts Center - Worthington

My children, 3 and 5, LOVED the CCT production of Willy Wonka. My daughter was so thrilled to see such talented kids perform. The venue was great b/c there wasn’t a bad seat in the theater. It was a perfect length of time for younger viewers as well. Would highly recommend. My son, age 3, continued to talk about his favorite character, Willy Wonka, for days! Great show!

    Annie

by StracyC on 5/16/18Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUS

The play Annie was Phenomenal! The Cast was simply Amazing from the youngest to the oldest they were all Star Quality and put on an entertaining and professional Show! I was told some of the actors attended the training camp sponsored by the Children's Theatre and what a wonderful opportunity that is for them and others to take advantage of. This production of Annie was definitely Broadway Material and could be seen amongst the Best of the Best. Amazing vocal skills and stage presence and everything flowed so nicely. It was so nice to meet with the Actors afterwards it was a nice extra treat. I had taken my Cousin and her 4year old Daughter for Mother's Day and they both adored Annie as much as I did. Keep up the Great Work!!!!!

Took my 7 year old daughter to watch The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe play and we were both so impressed with the cast, the venue and how friendly everyone was. Great opportunity for a father daughter afternoon out!

    Narnia-wow!

by PTrocks on 4/10/18Park Street Theatre - Columbus

I was skeptical about how CCT and it’s actors would welcome us to Narnia on such a small stage... but Wow! They did it! The lead children were amazing with their British accents and belief in Narnia and it’s story and the adult actors were inspiring! Thanks to CCT for another great family show!

    Brilliant acting, costumes and staging!

by Lollybroch on 4/9/18Park Street Theatre - Columbus

This show was terrific! The kids were so good! Their dialogue was easy to understand even with the British accents. And the animals - masterful movements and sounds! I loved the costumes - especially Aslan - WOW! Great staging - very creative use of space. We all loved it!

    Wonderful afternoon

by GmaKat on 4/3/18Park Street Theatre - Columbus

What a great theatre experience for kids and adults alike. My granddaughter just kept saying IT’S AMAZING over and over. After, the cast signed her program, and each took a photo with her very happily. She loves the Children’s Theatre, and this experience thrilled her. She wants to be in plays someday because of the CCT.

    Disappointing

by Elebow on 10/11/17Park Street Theatre - Columbus

I know how hard these children practice but practice doesn't make talent. The girl that had lead didn't have a good singing voice .The gentleman had a few different characters and when he was the teacher it Seemed he was over acting. I found it boring and long . Perhaps with a short intermission it wouldn't have seemed so long and wouldn't seem like the songs ran into one another. This being a musical I was surprised that this young lady was your choice - her singing voice was not good. The young man playing Sheldon was good. Great personality.

Junie B. Jones is THE best

by Debbieg6691 on 10/8/17Park Street Theatre - Columbus

My 6 year old granddaughter and I loved this show. Cast was great! Lively and entertaining. She has been reading the books and loved to see the characters live. They were perfect!

    Overpriced!!

by Mommax3girls on 10/2/17Park Street Theatre - Columbus

This 'production' was definitely overpriced!! Thought my daughters would experience a really great children's play, but was sadly disappointed. The stage is painted on the floor...had to walk on the 'stage' to take my daughter to the restroom...very awkward atmosphere!

Junie B Jones was a joy for the whole family!

by Washfam on 9/25/17Park Street Theatre - Columbus

This was our daughters (4 and 6 years old) first musical and CCT did not disappoint! We were entertained the entire 60 minutes! All of the actors were amazing; they even stayed around after the performance to sign autographs and were very personable. The environment was intimate but didn't feel crowded. We can't wait to attend our next show at CCT!
