About

For over four decades, the Cognizant Classic has been a mainstay on the PGA TOUR calendar and within the South Florida community. One of the world’s elite destinations takes center stage every February to showcase luxurious hospitality and a lively social scene amongst a best-in-class sports experience at PGA National Resort & Spa. While the Cognizant Classic highlights the elegance of Palm Beach County, the tournament remains a champion of philanthropy within the community as it impacts the lives of more than 100,000 children annually across more than 50 nonprofit organizations.

  • Cognizant Visit

by C~Low on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

The tournament turned out to be a fun and exciting outing. I witnessed Luke’s Eagle which was the first one I ever witnessed and it was nice to see the support he received. I’ve been to a handful of PGA Tour events and I will say that everything at Cognizant seemed to run smooth. The buses were efficicient and it was pretty smooth getting in and out. Cudos to all that worked the tournament. Thanks

  • Needs improvement

by Andy on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 2 out of 5

Lack of paddles asking for quiet. Lack of signs for early rounds. It was like a very low budget movie. They closed the gate at Prestwick Circle that we usually use. I am guessing this too is due to budget cuts. On the good side, according to the players the course was in good condition. Unless there are improvements, this tournament can't compete with TGL.

  • Overall

by Jojo on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 2 out of 5

The only organization in this event was the parking and the shuttle bus. Long lineups at the concession stands only to find out they ran out of almost everything. No hotdogs, no chips, no certain brand of beer etc… Lack of free seating. After attending the “Honda Classic”, I feel this event is definitely going downhill. This was my second time attending and probably my last. Not impressed.

  • Cognizant Classic 2025

by Mike on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

Definitely improved from last year. Would like to see higher ranked players attend but I don't think this can be done without moving the event on schedule. Will always have a soft spot for this event since I have been going to it for over 15 years.

  • Money Hungry - No Respect for Golf Fan

by JPC11 on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

I love going to this tournament every year until now. Ground tickets were increased to highest ever. Public seating at 9 and 18 was not available. That is unbelievable! Plenty of expensive corporate boxes and expensive ticket pricing for all the good spots. But the person that paid $85 had no place to sit.

  • Not the same event

by Mark from PBG on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

This is not the same event I have attended for the last 14 years. There isn’t parking available at Ballenisle or Marisol anymore. The grand stand for the public are gone on 17, 16 green, 16 midway fairway, behind 14 green and behind 10 green. This was our stops every year and now they are either gone or expanded into the extra paid Bear trap admission ticket. Shame on you Cognizant. And may I just say I am not the only person complaining about this, people around us on the bus said they will never come back.

  • Ignoring the real fans

by Lefty on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Cognizant removed some entrances for residents making them walk an additional mile to get in. But they ask us to cooperate with them for the event. Most of the good seating that was free was removed for corporate seating & high rollers. It seemed like the place was much less crowded than in years past. It could be that they raised the prices too much. Doubled the tix price in the last year

  • Where the good players

by Where were the good players? on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

Everything was done well, and there was a lot of fun, but the good PGA TOUR players weren’t there and there were only a few players worth watching and there were lots of people following them. But it’s still a good time.

  • Well organized but we need paper maps

by Kathy on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

Everyone gracious appreciate the disabled golf cart Totally disoriented due to no maps

  • Not well attended

by Tom on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

Found several reserved seats and sections very much empty. The upgraded seating sections looked sparse. With less seating and sections in the bear trap section.

  • Stellar Day at the Cognizant

by Frank K on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 5 out of 5

Attending my first PGA tour event - the experience was just so awesome. Very cool/chill vibe. The weather and the people were all amazing. We had seats in the Bear Trap (above the 16th green), and I fully expected long lines for the complimentary beer, but I never waited longer than a min to get served.

  • Quiet!!!

by KennyD on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

It is a wonderful tournament on a beautiful golf course. I live on the first hole of the Bear Trap. Some great golfers, but a lot of the best were missing. McIlroy, Scheffler etc. The timing may be suspect as the crowds were very light. Perhaps change to another week later or earlier?

  • Not worth this much money

by Luney on 3/4/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 2 out of 5

It's confusing now. Used to be you had set areas the public could watch with plenty of seating, now they have scattered and separated places , in between other places that you pay to get in, and even those don't have enough seating to watch the game. Someone said they were trying to get back to watching the game. But with less free areas to go to, I'm not sure how that's possible. And the ones that were there were scattered in between the paid for places, so you were intimidated to check out any of the places. Also did away with all the shopping or info booths to just a handful scattered throughout the course. I saw the charity mentioned once.i hope Niclaus has more of a say next year.

  • Not as fan friendly as it was when it was the Honda

by GH on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Unfortunately the Bear trap was much smaller this year and not as many tickets were available so we were only able to get GA tickets. Also, we used Uber for transport which was a big mistake as they now utilize an Uber lot which is on the other side of the whole neighborhood and requires a shuttle to access. Would suggest driving your own car and parking if attending.

  • Cognizant cheapened the Tournament

by Two O on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 1 out of 5

For years we had tickets to the Bear Trap, they doubled the price this year and cut the seating capacity by 6000. We had to park in general parking because parking at Ballenisles wasn’t available for purchase. General parking was a joke.

  • Not like the HONDA Classic

by Disappointed Dave on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Purchasing the tickets for the Cognizant Classic proved to be very challenging. There was not the FREBIES when entering the event like there had been when it was the HONDA Classic . One had to look high and low and then ask if items were free. There was extremely limited seating for those who did not purchase upgrade seating . I noticed a large decrease in the number of folks attending . The food for purchase had limited options . There were only TWO beer options , very disappointing. . I will not return as long as Cognizant hosts the event .

  • PatriotOutpost

by Captain Bob on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

The Patriot Outpost changed a lot this year, it was relocated to the 9th hole which I can understand. What was difficult was navigating the steps. In past years veterans made one trip up the stairs. Food was located on the floor of the tent, very convenient. This year it was one trip up the steps get a voucher, down the steps and walk to a concession stand, get you food. Then back to the post and another trip up two flights to sit and eat and watch. Veterans who have a disability find it difficult to navigate all these steps. Suggestion, if you can no longer serve the food within the outpost give the vouchers out on the ground floor to eliminate another trip up and down the steps. Thank you

  • Bleacher Seating

by Henry Scott on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Wonderful Day, Pleasent folks enjoying the second round of the golf tournament and for many that we spoke with, quietly, in between the players hitting or putting their shots, agreed that the corporate world took over the bleacher seating areas. Sure, there was room to stand and sit on the grass and we saw many more than normal bleachers surrounding the course, but general public couldn't gain entrance with without a pass. Locations that were available during the many years of our visits during the Honda Classic.

  • Wear your walking shoes!

by Lynnette324 on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

We had a lovely day weather wise for the Cognizant Classic. And thank goodness for that because you have to do a fair amount of walking before you even get to the tournament! The general parking is nowhere near the golf course—I would estimate about a three-mile drive. You park at an old landfill and have about a half mile walk on really rough ground to get to the shuttle buses. They did have a couple of golf carts available to transport those who couldn’t make the walk. Thankfully, they weren’t really concerned with totally filling the bus before heading to and from the course or you could have been sitting on the bus for quite a while. We found a spot behind the ninth green to sit and watch the players come through. Even with the scannable QR code map, it can be tricky navigating the course.

  • Due to the offsite parking, it was a bat experience.

by James on 3/3/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 1 out of 5

Having to drive over 15 minutes to get from the course to the offsite parking was unacceptable. Then I had to ride the bus back to the course for another 15 to 20 minutes. I probably will never attend this golf event again.
