About

For over four decades, the Cognizant Classic has been a mainstay on the PGA TOUR calendar and within the South Florida community. One of the world’s elite destinations takes center stage every February to showcase luxurious hospitality and a lively social scene amongst a best-in-class sports experience at PGA National Resort & Spa. While the Cognizant Classic highlights the elegance of Palm Beach County, the tournament remains a champion of philanthropy within the community as it impacts the lives of more than 100,000 children annually across more than 50 nonprofit organizations.

  • Just A Decent Tourney

by BogeysRBetter on 3/13/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

Just a decent tourney. Great golf but not many household names among the field other than Rory and Ricky. Would be a great event if the atmosphere could match some of the young talent on display on the course. Would be nice to blend the corporate aesthetic with a draw to young adults to give the tournament more flare.

  • Refreshments

Way over priced for refreshments. two beers over $27.00. Not worth going.

I'm fairly tech savvy but the process of buying, downloading, saving, re-selling and sharing tickets can be simplified. Please offer a paper option. A tangible ticket gets to the point quickly.

  • $14 for a Beer.

Great venue, loads of facilities and options for food and drink. However $14 a beer. Is unacceptable.

The shuttle service from General parking was a nice surprise as there were plenty of buses in the morning as opposed to another event we attended last year . When we arrived we were happy with the ability to walk around comfortably while the participants were on the range and practice green . We made our way to Duffy’s Zone behind the 8 th. Green and spent most our time enjoying excellent approach shots in the shade . On the way home the shuttle buses were waiting and dropped us off at the parking lot . No complaints from our end , Great job by the organizers and volunteers ! !

  • Worst ever.

We used to be able to follow the players, saying which hole they’re on and how they are doing that day. I was on the 18th hole all day. I believe that 50% of the day I was seeing advertisements. If this happens again next year I’ll stop coming. I’ve been going for 10 years straight, with 4 to 6 friends

  • Bring back Honda!

by SteveN on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 3 out of 5

There were many changes this year, most for the worst. Parking which used to cost $10 had to be prepaid and raised the cost to $18.75! No major Vets pavilion. The sponsor tents were spread out throughout the course and not in one area as previous years, plus less premiums. Less spectator seating and those that remain were in the sun. And ticket prices were higher. You lost a good customer.

  • Downsized fan experience

by Matt on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 2 out of 5

This event is downsizing from year's past, and the part that is downsized is from the public general admission audience. In year's past this event had more public seating options that were geared to improved the experience. A lot of those options were removed in various locations. A simple correction is to provide more strategically located shaded seating in the venue. I don't think we need massive structures, just more opportunities for shaded seating around tee boxes and green placed around. These could be smaller perched shaded structures in strategic comfortable locations. The shading can be from nearby trees or roof structure. The newly added structure behind 8th green was excellent, more of this design would be great, and they don't have to be that large. There are no fillable water stations on the course, so the only way to stay hydrated is to pay premium price for water bottles. Website states you can bring in a refillable bottle, however refill stations are not present and every staff member I asked did not know of any stations. The mix of no shaded seating and no water is a real challenge to having an enjoyable experience trying to watch a sport as professional golf. The rideshare location used to be excellent at the front, now it is bused around the property, and is not an improvement to fan experience. In summary, I don't understand the decisions to pull away from the fan experience, this will only contribute to lower crowd sizes and promote more to watch the event on TV.

  • Veterans guest program

by Military Veteran and golf enthusiast on 3/5/25PGA National Resort - Palm Beach GardensRating: 4 out of 5

I felt overwhelmed by the number of emails received for my two tickets and parking pass. As a lifetime communications technician and desktop support specialist I should not be overly challenged by receiving a few tickets on line but I was. I actually missed the fact that my complimentary meal would not be delivered at the Veterans welcome center but in the food court by way of a voucher. The coin was nice but the voucher went unexplained and the separate USMC greeter left me feeling ‘less than’ and undeserving of his handshake. I am sure he meant well, but I felt snubbed. Finally, how about handicap access? My wife who is handicapped, will not return after our first experience two years ago. It feels like an afterthought at best since the shuttle is not available until you are deep into the venue and I never noticed a wheelchair available to people like myself who are challenged by hours of walking. The golf and the weather were great. My guest and I enjoyed the experience and appreciate the gesture toward Veterans.
