About

Coast City Country is a Canadian country music festival in Vancouver, British Columbia that launched in 2024. The inaugural lineup featured headliners Luke Bryan, Nickelback and Dierks Bentley as well as rising country music stars such as Bailey Zimmerman, Brett Young, Walker Hayes and Elle King. The two-day main event was held on April 19 and 20 at Vancouver’s downtown multi-purpose stadium BC Place on the north side of False Creek. Along with an on-site craft beer and whiskey festival, outdoor BBQ smokehouse and parties and installations throughout Vancouver over the weekend, Coast City Country was complemented by late-night programming at the historic Commodore Ballroom between April 18 and 20 with performances by Kameron Marlowe, Travis Denning, The War and Treaty and more.

Great acts, fabulous outside events as well

by Shand on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

It was a great event, great acts. The only thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been less lineups for food and drinks. The lineups for drinks were far too long.

Great value loved the line up of talent

by Nicole on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

An amazing time was had by all who were in my section. Only wish the venue was a bit smaller there were so many open seats all over the place. I felt bad for the performers who were looking out into that. Maybe they could have closed the upper area and moved everyone down lower to fill it up. This would have been fantastic in Roger’s. Next time I’d like to see more inclusive food choices my vegetarian friends had a challenging time to locate any food options other the fries the no in and out could have helped ease this if they provided wrist bands to all coming and going, but 3-12 is a long time with little to no food choices for anyone with dietary restrictions All in all it was the best event I had been to in a long time. The head liners absolutely did an incredible job putting on fantastic performances. Would absolutely go again if they did come back next year!!

    Coast City Country

by Goldjules on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

All the acts were fantastic from the early performers to the headliners. The sound was very good inside BC Place. My only criticism would be that I didn't like that the indoor and outdoor acts overlapped so I missed the outdoor events. We were lucky with good weather Friday so being outdide coulld have been pleasant. But I felt bad for the early indoor performers and lack of audience.

    Very fun weekend

by KH on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

Great artists, great shows and atmosphere. Next year could have more drinks available in and outside that aren’t just beer, and more speakers outside. Couldn’t hear the performers on the outdoor stage. But overall a super fun time! Would go back next year

    Fantastic Time!

by LJones on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

Coast City did a great job bringing in an amazing lineup of artists for the first annual show. I completely enjoyed the experience, maybe next year bring in a few more vendors/ food trucks for the outside. On another note, most people were very confused about the Commodore line up and felt it had little if no bearing on the festival. Biggest complaints - the security was not on the same page when it came to what could and could not be brought into the venue. And I really dislike the name - Coast City Country, I had a very hard time remembering what it was called, as it really is not catchy at all.

Good line up but kinda weird

by Jackie on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

My group and I had a great time! The lineup for musicians was great for its first year! Although it was kind of stupid in my opinion you had to wait in a long line up and waste time upgrading your GA ticket than experience things going on at the event. Why wasn’t there an option when getting the tickets i know the first place online?? That would be something I would change. Other than that a great experience although a lot of people and long lines.

    It was meh

by Mel on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

The venue sucked for a country music concert. Way too separated and wasn’t busy in the stands during the day so sitting there for the first few artists killed the buzz. Being inside in a daylit concert during the day was weird. The ambience is huge for a concert and this threw it off, was good once it was dark out though. Wouldn’t go again unless it was held somewhere else.

    More merch

by Daniella on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

Everything was great.... except the fact there was not enough merchandise. For the people that only could afford to do one day, we got screwed out ofd coast city country feast everything and Luke Bryan everything!! What in the heck is up with that. Why would you guys sell Luke Bryan when he wasnt there on Friday. People told me that most things were sold out on the Friday. I ran around the whole stadium looking for merch that was sold out. And i was there at 4pm. So frustrating. But other then that it was a great show. Cheers to the security at the stage. And the bathrooms were super busy but fairly cleaned considering all the people.

It was a lot of fun but the overlapping shows made me sad

by Kailey on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

In my opinion, the Coast City Country music festival was a well-executed event with a creative concept. However, there was a significant drawback in the scheduling of outdoor and indoor performances, as they frequently overlapped, making it challenging for attendees to see their preferred artists if they were performing simultaneously. Additionally, I believe the duration of the earlier sets should have been extended beyond 20 minutes, as this time frame was insufficient for a satisfying performance.

    10/10 TIME

by motts on 4/23/24BC Place - Vancouver

This event was so much fun! Between the lineup they chose to having the availability to upgrade your seat selection, it truly made for a memorable night! I can’t wait to see who they choose for next year!
