About

Maryland-bred rockers Clutch have been a Ā hot ticket on the tour circuit and a mainstay on the rock radio airwaves for well over a decade. That streak continued in 2013 with the release of a well-received new album titled Earth Rocker, which topped Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and plenty of concert dates, stopping at the likes of The Depot (Salt Lake City) and other world-class venues. The group's consistency even extends to its lineup, which features three members -- Neil Fallon (vocals, keyboards), Tim Sult (lead guitar), Dan Maines (bass), and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums) -- who have been in the group since it formed in 1991.

Clutch released their debut album, 1993's Transnation Speedway League, after landing a deal with EastWest Records, largely thanks to their reputation as a strong concert act. The band's growing fan base and the success of their self-titled 1995 sophomore release lead to a short-lived major-label deal with Columbia. Clutch's 2009 and 2013 albums, their ninth and 10th, were released on the group's own Weathermaker label.

    Meh Venue, Lack Luster Performance

    by Venus on 8/26/23

The venue was odd, if you wanted to be uncomfortable and sweaty, you could go into the pit of the venue which is a lowered square. Maybe best to host cage matches here. Bars were conveniently placed. I have been listening to Clutch for years, and their performance didn't really deliver the high powered vocals and heavy riffs they are known for. Lead singer didn't seem that hyped to be there, and there definitely was a crowd, so it wasn't that. As I have never seen them live, I can only assume that they are one of this bands that's better produced than live. We left on the 4th song.

    One of the best

    by Waltron20/20 on 8/25/23

Clutch is not only the best band as far as hard rock and roll riffs goes but they are also badass live. Neal Fallon is a legit rockstar.

    Excellent show!

    by Cat on 8/24/23

I've been a fan of these guy's for almost 30 years. I didn't have the means to see them when I was younger. They definitely didn't disappoint! From the moment they took the stage it was full throttle Clutch. They kicked ass the entire show. They had everyone on their feet and full of energy. The entire venue was amped up in sync with the band. I've been to shows of bigger named groups from the late 80's and 90's. Their shows didn't hold a candle to Neal and the guy's. If you ever get a chance to see Clutch live don't pass up the chance.

    Clutch Rocked!! Venue Sucks

    by PoRcH on 8/19/23

Great show by clutch. However Venue staff told me twice I couldn't stand in the grass at the far end of the row even though my seat was at the end. I was trying to be polite to the people that were Sitting behind me. Also told I couldn't stand on the concrete area directly in front of my seat and threatened to kick me out for doing so. Also Show ended without an encore cause venue told band there was a strict curfew. Beer was pricey and non existent food options. Great location Venue management just sucks!!

    Clutch Rules

    by El Jefe on 8/16/23

Clutch was of course excellent, fans expect nothing less from this hard-touring, hard-working band. The Depot has a great staff too, everyone was kind and helpful.

    CLUTCH never ceases to amaze

    by Moosepoopy on 8/16/23

I have been following CLUTCH since 1992. A avid fan. These guys are just amazing. I could not make the tour dates in the PNW, so I spent bigger money to go to LV to see them play again. It was worth every penny and I cannot wait to see them again. They continue to be one of the best live rock bands ever. With all the songs and sounds over the last 30 years, they are able to entertain the crowd with something different and fun every time. Bringing in Mike Dillon for additional percussion for the encore was incredible. Something Iā€™ll never forget. This concert ranks as one of my favorites in my 47 years.

    My First Clutch Concert

    by Jeff on 8/9/23

I was very excited to see Clutch in person. Had found them during COIVD and could never get them out of my head. Great show!!! I was also excited to see Red Fang, they are also an excellent band, and should have gotten more time to play over Dinosaur Jr,

The bands were great, the venue however

    by Jbm on 8/9/23

The bands get 5 stars. I have a couple complaints about the venue, parking has changed since the last time I was there. Most of the parking is across the river and for a first time user the parking pay by plate was confusing. Also the band was unable to do an encore due to the cities curfew restrictions.

    Loved Clutch and Red Fang.

    by Butch on 8/8/23

Loved Clutch and Red Fang, but I only rated the show as a 4 overall because the drinks at the Fillmore were quite pricey.
