Maryland-bred rockers Clutch have been a hot ticket on the tour circuit and a mainstay on the rock radio airwaves for well over a decade. That streak continued in 2013 with the release of a well-received new album titled Earth Rocker, which topped Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and plenty of concert dates, stopping at the likes of The Depot (Salt Lake City) and other world-class venues. The group's consistency even extends to its lineup, which features three members -- Neil Fallon (vocals, keyboards), Tim Sult (lead guitar), Dan Maines (bass), and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums) -- who have been in the group since it formed in 1991.
Clutch released their debut album, 1993's Transnation Speedway League, after landing a deal with EastWest Records, largely thanks to their reputation as a strong concert act. The band's growing fan base and the success of their self-titled 1995 sophomore release lead to a short-lived major-label deal with Columbia. Clutch's 2009 and 2013 albums, their ninth and 10th, were released on the group's own Weathermaker label.
Both bands were great and it was an awesome night of live music. Heard my favorite album done Live! Incredible
I have seen Rival Sons many times. This was not their best performance. It was not awful, but I did walk away knowing that they could have been better...like when they started the Opening for Electric Man and stopped..or when they went all instrumental during Ferrell Roots. As far as Clutch, we stayed for a couple songs and left..not into that type of music. Not sure why Rival would tour with a band like that.
They were awesome as always!!! See them everytime they in Detroit.
As always, Clutch was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best live bands around. Great set, downright fire.
Clutch never disappoints. Great setlist, great performance.
Rival Sons and Clutch took us to church! Both bands were amazing to see live 💓
I’ve seen Clutch 6 times now. They never disappoint. Fantasy as usual. Rival Sons blew my mind. Jay Buchanan is a legit Rockstar. Amazing performance from a seriously talented band. They are now in heavy rotation. Clytch has always been since the beginning. Neil, Tim, Dan and Jean Paul have always been a favorite of mine. 🤟😎🤟
Awesome show as always!!!! Clutch never disappoints!
Great show. Love the venue. Couldn't ask for a better night of good music and weather. Clutch always delivers a great show. I've seen them dozens of times and I've never been let down. Rival sons and Fu Manchu were both amazing as well.
My 30th show and counting. Clutch has never sounded better. Great to hear Blast Tyrant from A~>Z
Fu Manchu opened with a rip roaring set, Rival Sons were a bit of a letdown but Clutch never disappoint. Still my favorite venue in town!
Venue was great Fu manchu rocked !!Clutch never disappoints they were awesome great energy. without a doubt my Favorite band.
Clutch & FUManChu were fantastic. Rival Sons was ok but all their songs seem to drag on too long.
Clutch played their Blast Tyrant album in its entirety, and five other songs (Binge & Purge!). I’ve seen them many times, they always deliver. Just awesome-they’re made for live shows! Rival Sons co-headlining was like a slow torture to get through. They sound like one never ending song. But that’s how much I love Clutch..to hang through that nonsense.
good show, no hits, expensive drinks - the title says it all - Clutch played one hit I think....a few more would have been good.
Clutch put on a stellar performance as always. My first time seeing Rival Sons and I was not disappointed. Unfortunately Fu Manchu had an illness but they still forged ahead an played with some folks subbing in on lead vocals, including Neil Fallon from Clutch and Jay Buchanan from Rival Sons.
The Anthem was a great venue ! Clutch as always was awesome !!
Getting into the venue was super easy with the app (multiple tickets). Venue was way bigger than expected and had a great time. Will use app again to get tickets in the future.
Clutch is ALWAYS a good live band to see! Nothing fancy, just great RnR!! 🤘
Clutch played the Blast Tyrant album in its entirety. Great show start to finish. The Anthem is in a great location with lots to do before the show.
