About

Maryland-bred rockers Clutch have been a  hot ticket on the tour circuit and a mainstay on the rock radio airwaves for well over a decade. That streak continued in 2013 with the release of a well-received new album titled Earth Rocker, which topped Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart, and plenty of concert dates, stopping at the likes of The Depot (Salt Lake City) and other world-class venues. The group's consistency even extends to its lineup, which features three members -- Neil Fallon (vocals, keyboards), Tim Sult (lead guitar), Dan Maines (bass), and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums) -- who have been in the group since it formed in 1991.

Clutch released their debut album, 1993's Transnation Speedway League, after landing a deal with EastWest Records, largely thanks to their reputation as a strong concert act. The band's growing fan base and the success of their self-titled 1995 sophomore release lead to a short-lived major-label deal with Columbia. Clutch's 2009 and 2013 albums, their ninth and 10th, were released on the group's own Weathermaker label.

  • Clutch Ted talk

by Rob on 8/13/25Grey Eagle Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

As always clutch put on a dominant performance. Their songs, their energy their atmosphere are all on par with what you expect from a clutch show. Unbelievable, how the members of clutch pushed through with a gray eagle presented as a seated concert for one of the most energetic bands out there. The fact that the gray eagle had seats was completely unbelievable. What are they thinking? So impressed with clutch. So disappointed with gray eagle bands that have fans that want to mosh, dance, or circle should not play at this venue.

Stellar performance put on by Clutch and guests! The openers were talented and got the crowd going. Really enjoyed Black Top Mojo, so much energy! Clutch was fantastic. Rocked until he end. Highly recommend this show.

  • What a show!!!

This was the first opportunity I had to see Clutch after being a fan for almost 30 years. I was blown away by the talent of the openings acts and absolutely loved the Clutch experience. The lyrical excellence combined with mind blowing rock and roll left me searching for new opportunities to see them again on this tour. The Fabulous Commodore Ballroom and the genuine fans it draws never disappoint.

Lead singer Neil Fallon steals the show as usual. Great front man & entertainer.

  • Best 18th wedding anniversary ever!

by Thesasquatch on 8/8/25The ELM - BozemanRating: 5 out of 5

Clutch kills it every time I see them. This show was #20 for me #5 for my wife. We drove over 6 hours from Spokane Wa to Bozeman MT to see them. I was a little concerned because they had just played Sturgis the night before. Well, my concern went right out the door when the first song hit. Clutch brought the energy like it was their first show of the tour. Everyone was on point and shredding and Neil delivered like only Neil can. The set list was killer and I can’t wait for the next show!

  • Coming through in the Clutch

These guys always bring it. They appear to love Montana, too. Third time seeing them, anytime they show up in Missoula or Bozeman, I'll be there.

  • Clutch is not my type of music

by Rick on 7/11/25Michigan Theater - Ann ArborRating: 2 out of 5

We were at this concert mainly to see the second opening band, Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown, a blues hard rock band. They were incredible, and want to see them again. However, Clutch was a very different kind of music -- rap stoner rock/metal is how I would describe it. I listened to some of their songs before attending (was more straightforward stoner rock, which I can enjoy), but the concert was different and leaned into the somewhat "rap"element more. Almost everyone there was very into Clutch and it's obvious they have a strong fan base. My friend and I left during the third song though. Also, the venue was subpar as we were VERY squeezed for leg space in our balcony seating (I would not attend a concert here again).
