CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

Clint is not only a wonderful singer, he comes across as genuine person - interacting with the audience and endearing himself to them. Wis the show were longer.
Great Seats. Great Price. Amazing venue. Fantastic Voice. Great to see one of the best in Country Music just singing without all of the glitz!
Not only was his music great, but I never knew how funny he was. I would reccomend this concert to anyone. I had a great time.
What a super show. Clint was extremely entertaining and very funny. I never knew he had such a great sense of humor.
saw clint about 20 yrs ago, voice is just as nice, he is slower, did a few fast ones at the end, that was fine, definitely worth the $. as for the lynn auditorium, it was nice, clean, but dont' drink anything b/c they only have 3 TOILETS!
Clint Black is an entertainer! Great music. Professional band. Quick with a joke and funny stories. Loved the acoustic versions of all the songs. This was an intimate performance. We should all be so lucky to experience such a big star in a setting like this.
Not a country and western fan but found it enjoyable
I have loved Clint Black since I was a young teen to finally be able to see him in concert Is a night I will never forget. I love his country twang! Add in a harmonica, and friends of 30 plus years, and you have an amazing musical experience you will not forget! I am so glad all the whoopla was removed and I was given the opportunity to see Clint the way he started in country, no crap just pure amazing country music! Clint you have always been may favorite Male country artist and even though you haven't had an album in a while you still rule in my book! I can't wait for the album your working on!
Really looking forward to the only country music I ever purchased and never heard a single song from the CD Spend My Time. I appreciate that his other fans may have been familiar with what he presented, but the show didn't seem to me to be a huge hit in any case. He even played a song he wrote when he was 18......meant more to him than me. He's very talented, but it wasn't the show I was hoping for.
The entire music industry seems to have turned its back on Clint but his die-hard fans still love him and his band. My family and I were the ones sitting down front, singing along with every song. Wish he would come east more often. I will see him every time he comes this way with or without a new album. On a side note, Lynn Auditorium is a great small venue and I would return there for other shows.
Clint Black was great! He was very entertaining and sang as well as he did when I saw him over 20 years ago. I would rate this one of the best shows I have seen.
Clint Black is simply one of the most talented country singers ever. His voice is superb, he plays guitar and harmonica as a virtuoso, and has a killer backup band of long time loyal musicians who hit every note with precision. He likes to have a set with only himself performing which shows off his amazing talent, though some songs he selected I thought were B sides that didn't make a hit for a reason. I realize he wants to keep his shows evolving so you will hear different songs when you see him, which any country fan should make it a point to do.
Clint has not lost his great talent or his sense of humor! GREAT concert, very intimate. His band is amazing also. You will not be disappointed, fabulous show!!
Although I had not heard much lately about Clint Black, it was an opportunity for a date night. We were both quite impressed by the music and Clint's antics of years on the road. Ayla Brown who opened for him was also refreshingly "down to earth".
Enjoyed seeing and hearing Clint Black. Put on a good show, really enjoyed it!
Show was in amphitheater and it was chilly. Show was a little over an hour. Lots of people left early. Music was fairly good, but not really worth the effort to get there
I brought my 6 year old daughter and we had a blast! Clint is funny, engaging and all around wonderful. Such a great concert. His voice is fantastic and I am so glad I went.
I saw Clint Black for the first time at the Deadwood Mountain Grand and would definitely see his show again. The first several songs were performed with just Clint sitting on a chair and playing his guitar. He's got a wonderful, witty personality and was very entertaining! Three other members of his band came out and accompanied him for the second half of the show. I love concerts like this because you feel like you get to know the artist a little better. He played the songs of his that I knew and several I didn't, but all were wonderfully done! Clint Black is definitely a supremely talented performer!
He sure is talented, a great story teller, humble, and sincere !!! An evening with Clint Black will leave you feeling GOOD on many levels, as well as give you a deeper appreciation for his talent and his gift !!! A memorable night that I wll cherish !!! Thanks Clint Black for a show well done !!!
