CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

My wife and I enjoyed the concert very much. The venue was exceptional. My wife’s only disappointment was that Lisa was not with him.
Clint Black put on an excellent performance! He met every expectation. The venue was nice and clean, and a good size. The employees were helpful. It appeared that all seats were good seats. We would definitely go back to another Clint Black concert and would definitely go back to this venue!
Clint Black was fantastic. He is a great performer and hasn't lost his talent over his 35-year entertainment career, he has gotten better with age! The venue he performed in, Columbia County PAC, was fabulous as well.
Clint was great but could not understand anything when he talked. Not just him the opening act as well. The sound of the concert was worse than average. Not just my opinion. Everyone that was with my party of ten. Our party was seated in 3 separate sections also
Fourth time we have seen Clint Black over the years and he has never disappointed! The band is a talented group most have been with him for years. Mr. Black’s story telling and humor is a great addition to a fantastic song list.
Clint was phenomenal. The band was superb and his interaction with the audience was exceptional.
Fabulous show! Had a great time. Clint sure does put on a great concert! The light show was excellent too
Clint and the entre band were fabulous!!! Loved all the personal pics shared on the big screen. Clint was funny and very engaged with the audience. Humphrey's is a wonderful venue and much to our surprise the food (pizza) didn't cost an arm and a leg (and was pretty tasty) Great night!!
You can really see the experience of a band that has been together and enjoys making music.
I was so impressed by his performance, I had no idea that he played so many instruments. He’s really good + he has has a good sense of humor. There were times I thought I was at a comedy club. The band was awesome. No wonder he’s a country legend. I’m so fortunate to have gone.
Clint Black was awesome! voice was great. His connection with the audience was great. The theater never disappoints. Makes attending any concert painless! Great experience all around.
He looked and sounded great. Really engaged with his fans. Very humble.
If you enjoy traditional 80's country music, Clint Black's show is a must. Not only is he extremely entertaining, but the not stop pictures behind him are a definite plus.
What an AMAZING show! It was better than me or my Dad could have dreamed of! Clint Black and his band were spectacular. Being in a theater that size was perfect. Clint was very interactive and quite funny. I am so glad I got to see him live. It was so great!
The band came out made great contact with audience for 2 hours to include highest quality played out. If you love country music consummate professional.
A great night at Pazzos for dinner then off to Count Basie theater in Red Bank to see Clint Black ! Great show. A great entertainer, gentleman!
Awesome show at the Count Basie. Clint still sounds good, his band is awesome. He tells entertaining stories as he is introducing his music. Overall a very enjoyable show. Hope to see him again.
Went to see Clint Black at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ this past Sunday night. I love the Theater, not too small but not too big like an arena. Seats were comfortable, everything was well organized by staff. Clint performed for nearly 2 hours with just his band. No opening act. He joked with the crowd, sang all his hits and some others as well. We had a great time.
Clint is still sounding great! Tunes all true to the records and he is still just a cool guy with the crowd and just fun show … goes by fast. Count Basie is great venue too for his show. Would definitely do it again!
The concert was awesome ! Clint really gives one heck of an awesome performance! The only downfall of the show was that it had to end , lol. My wife and I wanted the concert to go on until tomorrow, lol! We had a great time and look forward to coming back again! Furthermore, I met Clint Black back in 1997 at The Country Music Fan Fair down in Nashville; A very nice guy , very humble and a good head on his shoulders!!! Thank you !!!
