CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

This is the second time seeing Clint Black live. Last time was 15 years ago and he hasn’t lost a step! Great vocals and backing band. He sounds amazing and his music is timeless. I would love to have a beer with him!
Hampton Beach Ballroom and Casino is a great venue for a concert. Very easy access to the site and seats. It's a good listening room. Clint Black is the best! We saw this concert at the Ryman. We would see him again, tomorrow!!
My wife forced me to go so I wasn't expecting much. Venue was very intimate. (small) Parking was non-existent. One food truck for 3,000 people. Had great seats, 8 rows back center floor. At least I thought they were great seats until Gulliver showed up and sat in front of me. I mean, this guy was a giant. Probably 6'-8"and two axe handles wide. He immediately took of one of his boots and pulled out a Sharpie, then stood up the rest of the show holding up his boot and Sharpie thinking that Clint Black would stop the show and sign this boot. Nobody else standing except Gulliver! Our only chance to see the show was during his 8 trips to buy beer. Finally, the last 15 minutes or so he sat down and passed out... but by that time Clint was into his hits and the rest of the floor was standing. I guess you have to expect that with floor seats. Overall, the performance was better than expected. Musicians were exceptionally talented. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Clint had nothing to do with the giant in front of me. You would think that people would look around and see that they are the only ones standing and recognize that they are as big as a house!
Drove over 2 hours each way to see Clint Black for the first time. So worth the drive there and back. My all time favorite song, State of Mind, was the 3rd song he played. It's the BEST intro, and he's sooooo good at the harmonica and playing guitar at the same time. I could listen to that intro over and over, especially live! We sat 4th row, just wish we could have stood more, but the venue was just the right size with cheap beerr, easy and close parking. Only thing I'd wish he'd played my favorite song at the end again or to meet him in person. 🖤
He was really good. I'll see him again. Put on a good show
Clint Black at Legends Casino was the best! The star, his band, the sound, the venue- not a bad seat in the house! He sang all his songs off the 'Killin' Time' album, which was extra special. I would recommend seeing him if you never have. So much fun! Thanks for the chance to review.
Clint was great! Very talented, personable, funny and entertaining. I would love to go see him again some time. I like being in a smaller venue where you really can’t get a bad seat.
We had so much fun!!!! We were at the "KILLIN TIME"tour 35 years ago in Sacto. and were pleased to find that the same energy and fun were still there. Clint is awesome!!!
The venue was very accommodating The concert was amazing
Clint Black and band were great. Venue was adequate, but there were a considerable number of seats toward the front and sides that could not see the entire stage. Venue should consider not selling those seats.
Musically it was an absolutely amazing show. Clint has amassed a group of extremely talented musicians. The whole show I kept thinking to myself, this is exactly what a country concert should sound like. Silky smooth steel guitar, ripping guitar solos, beautifully played fiddle, and obviously Clint’s amazing harmonica work. On top of it, Clint was funny. Like really funny and personable. He told stories, made lots of jokes and interacted with the crowd. It was just a great show and highly suggest you check him out if you are a country music fan (even better if you’ve been a fan of Clint for the past 35 years!)
Clint Black didn’t disappoint, his show and band were phenomenal! Just wish his wife and daughter had been there too.
Just got back from Clint Black’s concert at Legends Casino, and wow, what a night! The venue was perfect; it felt like a cozy living room, if your living room had a world-class sound system and a country legend giving a private concert. I think I might have sung a bit too loudly along with "Killin' Time,"but I don't think anyone noticed. If you get the chance to see him live, do it!
The Clint Black concert was really nice. The venue is great
35 years and he’s still got it country music at its finest ! Still hit original band members that says alot . Thank you Clint for 35 years of great music memories !
It was fun but went by too fast. 2 1/2 hrs seemed like a half hr. But we have new memories and an updated shirt to wear proudly.
He was Awesome funny and we’ll go back again. Thank you so much for chopping one off my bucket list next time I hope you sing your Christmas song milk and cookies lol But I know it was August lol
Clint Black put on an excellent performance. Ilani has finally got the sound tuned to perfection. It was very enjoyable!
Concert was great as far as Clint Black goes. The sound inside of the casino was not all that great unfortunately. Quite a bit of echo.
