CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

This was a wonderful concert. Started on time, good pacing of slow songs and up tempo numbers. Good videos to accompany the music. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!
Clint and all his band really seem to still enjoy playing and having fun while doing it. It was a great concert and really enjoyed it!
Excellent concert at Choctaw casino. He puts on a great show!
Great concert! He sang awesome & very comical. I would highly recommend.
Nice venue, the sound was absolutely amazing and the performance was absolutely top notch . Interaction with the audience was great .
Clint Black is a true country music artist. He has an amazing voice and showmanship. I love how down to earth he is. It was a dream come true for me to see him in concert.
I was so very disappointed in this show. He sang off key and didn't put his signature grit or growl in his songs until the last 3 or 4 . I was glad to see him because it was Clint Black of course but I was disappointed in the music because he didn't sing like I was use to hearing him or the popular songs.
Really enjoyed the concert. Only complaint is the fact that each row spans the entire width of the hall and I was constantly having to get up so the same people could go back and forth a dozen times
Great concert. Lighting was a little lacking, at times, for my tastes. Great audio. Not sure how he can do a show without “Put Yourself In My Shoes” but maybe that’s just me :) Loved, loved, loved that he told the obnoxious drunks in the front, not once, not twice but three times, to sit down so the people behind them could enjoy the show!!!
Love the show had a great time. Wish she had paid more oldies rather than concentrate on. Just the one album but still had a great time. Love the venue.
Arriving at the Dow was easy off and on the expressway, traffic moved nice. The concession lines were long because there was only two people working each counter. The prices were the same as everywhere(too much) but was available. For some stupid reason they didn’t serve coke and only had Pepsi.. because apparently everyone orders a “rum and Pepsi”.. no! The opening act was really good and personable and Clint Black never disappoints. Leaving the concert was smooth.
Clint Black put on a great show filled with amazing music and fun stories! Loved the background videos as well!
The Clint Black concert at the Bloomington Performing Arts Center was amazing! Great concert in a great venue! Thanks for the memories!
Both the main act Clint Black and the backup were better than we could expect.
My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed this show! Clint and his band were just amazing musicians! Highly recommend! Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts came through once again! Wonderful group of volunteers at this place!
Clint was awesome! My 13 year old son loves him and this was his first concert. He said it was so good!
It was an amazing performance! I would see him again.
I've listened to Clint Black since he first came on the music scene. He still sounds great. I could listen to him sing all night. He put on a great show and love his sense of humor. The only thing I was disappointed in is Clint didn't sing Llike the Rain. This venue is absolutely amazing. It's not a big arena just small enough to give you a more personal feel. I am so happy I got tickets.
This was the 7th time I've seen Clint in concert, in many different types of venues. This was a excellent, intimate experience at the BCPA. He and the boys in the band were in top form! Thanks for a terrific night of entertainment. [Emily Ann Robert's was a charming opening act].
