About

CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:

Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

Clint Black and his warm-up both rocked it! He still sounds as good as he ever has. His band is incredible too. This is a wonderful venue. I highly recommend him and the venue to anyone. We loved it and had a great time.

  • Great concert! Bad seats!

by Kellibug on 7/3/25Hard Rock Live Sacramento - WheatlandRating: 4 out of 5

Clint Black put on an AMAZING show!! The crew at the Hard Rock were very friendly and helpful! Our issue was where we got reseated due to my husband being in a wheelchair. They sat us right at the main path to get through the venue, so we had people walking in front of us to get to the concession and restrooms the entire show! That was disappointing and unfair. We will be back, but will not sit there again.

  • great! He was funny as well, great to see a personal side

  • Great Venue and Show

by LouDogg on 6/30/25Gila River Resorts & Casinos - Wild Horse Pass - ChandlerRating: 4 out of 5

Was easy to get into the venue, plenty of parking. Only things that could have made this experience better would have another bartender in the balcony bar, not run out of different flavors of beer and exiting the garage/parking lot after the show was painful. Great staff, ushers helping and show.

    by Joe F on 5/13/25Payne Arena - HidalgoRating: 5 out of 5

Well checking in the front was a little slow at the beginning but then they let us know other lines where available. Walking everyone was very helpful in finding my section. Seating was comfortable and opening band was awesome. I thought their performance ran a little too long but good. Clint Black was amazing this was my second time seeing him he was beyond words can say awesome. Again wish Clint Black had started a little earlier but overall awesome show. Hope he can come back to my Area again.

Terrible seats, appeared to lip sync most of the songs, I could have watched that on you tube.

  • Great show

by Bert on 4/16/25Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 5 out of 5

Clint is always a great show. They could have gone with 1 opening act not 2. I assume it was to boost concession revenue. I am glad they posted the start times for the acts as we avoided the first performer.
