About

CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:

Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

  • Impressive!

Had tickets to go see Sebastian Maniscalco in AC and saw that Clint Black was going to be there the same weekend. Though not a super fan, like some people in the audience were I always enjoyed listening to his music when I heard it playing. Actually played one of his songs “Just like You & Me” as my wedding song 20 years ago. Clint and his long time band mates are excellent musicians and was really impressed by their guitar playing skills, etc. I really enjoyed the concert and found Clint very funny/engaging and the old clips playing in the background was fun to see. I was hoping to hear one of his newer songs like “I like the Rain” but the band came out for two encore songs, which was great!! Highly recommend seeing him…

  • Clint Black - a cool dude with a cool show!

by DENo1MGFan on 8/29/25Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I would like to thank Ameristar for making the directions from Liberty on S. 152 Hwy. legible and easy to understand, as Google has the way to Ameristar on south 291 Hwy. COMPLETELY wrong, and I missed seeing Crystal Gayle in July! Once I got to the venue, the ticket person got my e-mail changed to a physical ticket with no problem, and the vendor had everything arranged so it was easy to buy souvenirs. The concert had a great feel to it, and this time my seating was vastly improved. It would be nice to have a little more room between seats (as I was sitting between two 'big people'), but other than that, a huge success, and well worth the money this time!

  • My husband and I came from Omaha and had a great time.

We loved the theater and the concert was very fun. Clint and the band sounded great. My only complaint was that the lights were occasionally a little harsh on our eyes. Ticket folks and guides were very helpful and friendly.

  • Clint always delivers!

Clint Black is always fun, energetic and professional. Band was great, sound was great and the show started pretty much on time. Clint should educate other acts on how to entertain.

Clint Black nailed it as usual! He sounds great and so does his band. His sense of humor is a bonus! A few songs I wish he would have done but I understand he can’t sing them all. I will see him again and again!

by Denise on 8/27/25Orpheum Theatre Sioux City - Sioux CityRating: 5 out of 5

Clint Black was such a fun concert. He was upbeat and sang all of his great hits. The venue at the Orpheum in Sioux City was amazing. Clint is as good as he was when I first saw him in the 90's! The crowd was really into the music, and it was a blast. I would highly recommend seeing the show if you like country!

Clint seems to get around here at least once a year and we've always had plans or been away. Finally, we were able to go. He's always been one of my favorites and he did not disappoint. I would definitely go see him again!

by N.T. on 8/8/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

Clint still captures the audience with great lyrics, music and commentary. His energy makes his audience appreciate his 40 years of experience in the music industry - he's never sold out to commerciality. Loved seeing him again!

  • It was Ok

by Smiles Alot on 8/8/25Muckleshoot Casino Events Center - AuburnRating: 3 out of 5

I love Clint Black he was amazing as always, the venue was not so great, the seating was flat and when someone sat up it was so hard to see the stage, there was tv screens on both sides of the stage for close up of Clint but the color was awful it made him look RED and blurry, there was some issues with his Microphone at one point was hard to hear him. Not a great venue to have a concert unless they have raised seating.

Beautiful venue to enjoy an evening of music. Parking was plentiful and easy. Attendants at parking and at theater were friendly and helpful. Nice breeze even on a hot day. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the performance, the boats on the river and the lights of Canada. Clint Black and his band members are very entertaining. Would highly recommend a Clint Black performance and also the Aritha Franklin Amphitheater.

When we got to the venue and asked for help finding our seats our attendant upgraded our seats to just about right beside the stage. I could see and hear Clint so well. We had such an amazing time. The Aretha was beautiful and 8 will definitely see another concert there again!

  • Great show & venue

by CLINTFAN on 7/15/25The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Clint and the band put on a great energetic show, played his hits and some cool cover songs. First time at Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, easy , cheap parking, short walk, great staff and seeing a concert with the river behind the stage is pretty cool.
