CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

Clint Black is a legend! Sounds amazing, great energy and brought us on an outstanding trip down memory lane.
Clint gave great details about the songs origins and belted out the tunes. He put on a great show, we would definitely go see him again!
It was AN AMAZING SHOW. He still does a great job.
Clint Black's show in Cedar Rapids was absolutely the BEST!! He was so engaged with the crowd and the music was even better than I could have dreamed of. His voice is as great as ever and the harmonica playing was amazing. His entire band was just terrific and everyone on the stage just looked like they were a bunch of close friends out having a relaxing and great time. I hope he comes back!!
The best performance, Clint Black is the real deal.! Perfect venue and the best music.
Show date 8/1/24 - Saw he was coming to town and immediately bought tickets. Absolutely did not disappoint. Played Killin’ Time straight through and tons of other hits. The whole band sounded fantastic too. Wonderful evening, played for a solid hour and a half. Would 100% go see again!!
The venue was great, the weather was excellent, and, heck, the openers were pretty damned good. Then came Clint Black… quite possibly the best show I’ve ever seen. Phenomenal would probably be an understatement!!!
Clint black still got it. What a great show. Funny, entertaining, charming. Still got that great voice. Was everything I hoped it would be and more.
Clint Black never disappoints!! Plays his songs with such emotion!! Music Hall is a fantastic small intimate venue & Clint interacted with crowd the whole evening!! Highly recommended
Clint Black was simply superb and really connected with the audience. The atmosphere and sound quality of the Music Hall Center in Detroit as equally outstanding.
We really Loved the concert and loved the venue! P
Clint Black was so good he inter acted with the audience.... his music was amazing his band was so good good stage set up
Clint was awesome, he looked and sounded incredible and sang the whole Killing Time recird which is my favorite. I sat in row 9 on the floor. The seats here and the seats in the stands are too narrow. Some seats should be taken out and widened in this venue, I've never been to an event other than Memorial Cup and World Junior hockey that has been completely sold out.
Tickets were free. Glad we didn’t buy them! Wouldn’t have been worth it! He did play all the songs we wanted to hear.
The show was incredible!!! Enjoyed every minute… great singing and the band was fabulous . Great evening
Love how he interacted with the crowd. And he introduced his band which is always great.
What an awesome show if you love 90’s country and a steel guitar !! Front row seats were the best experience, and would highly recommend getting floor tickets .
First time seeing Clint Black. It was a fantastic show, enjoyed the little stories between the songs.
Despite some technical difficulties at the start of the tour, he handled it like a pro by engaging the crowd and telling some of his stories from over the years. The performance itself was incredible, which is no surprise given he’s been doing it for 35 years. With an unreal opening act like Carolyn Dawn Johnson this was an incredible show. Couldn’t have asked for more, despite the security doing their best from trying to prevent people from having fun (dancing/singing).
It was a great event i liked that we sat on the floor and everyone sat most of the time so everyone could see. The entertainment was amazing.
