Cleveland Browns Team History

The Cleveland Browns franchise was founded in 1945 as a member of the All-America Football Conference. With the establishment of the team during World War II, the Browns did not play their first regular-season game until 1946, after the war ended. In 1950, the Browns were selected as one of only three AAFC teams to merge with the National Football League.

During their first 40 years in the NFL, the Browns reached the playoffs 22 times. They won four NFL championships between 1950 and 1964, 11 NFL American/Eastern Conference championships, and three NFL Century Division titles. They also won AFC Central Division championships in 1971, 1980, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1989. In addition, 23 former Browns have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including Jim Brown, Paul Brown, Otto Graham, Lou Groza, and Marion Motley and Bill Willis — two of the four Black players who helped break the NFL’s race barrier in 1946.

    Last practice

    by Football fanatic on 8/26/23

Very disappointed that the last practice was moved indoors. Weather did not cooperate early in the morning, but it did clear up, even though more rain came through later in the day. It would have been nice to see the players one more time before cuts were made. Go Browns

    Typical Haslem owned Browns

    by Mattiem419 on 8/25/23

They cancelled session and didn’t even offer any substitute like maybe a training camp ticket for next year or something.

    Great Afternoon 👍

    by Cathy on 8/25/23

Overall, the experience was very good. It was easy to get thru the entrance line, although what you could bring in was somewhat too restrictive, I thought. The bleachers were comfortable, the fans were courteous, the weather was perfect (although I realize you have no control over that). I would like to see some morning sessions open to the public. Not too many years ago there were open morning sessions and the weather was a lot cooler than it is in the afternoon.

Took my grandson to browns training camp.Had to park at fairgrounds and wait on shuttle. Dropped off a good quarter mile from facility. Not enough seating for people attending.Players were quite a distance away. There were some good activities for the kids.Water was free but only found in one area. Some players did approach fans after practice. Closed at 3:00p.m. SHARP.Not sure if I would go again

    Handicap

    by Steve on 8/23/23

They should have more of a handicapped area, i went after surgery and cant put weight on one leg and couldn’t even make it in because of my crutches, no cart stopped and offered to take myself or my guest into the camp area while they were driving fully capable walking people into camp. I was highly disappointed I couldn’t make it into camp to enjoy my hometown team

    Go Browns!!

    by Chick Nubb on 8/23/23

It’s always wonderful to have a sneak peek into the Brown’s upcoming season. We’re always grateful. The facility was impeccably clean, bright and fan friendly as there were many vendors set up with freebies and fun. We enjoyed free water bottles and had lunch from the food truck. We always love to look out and see our favorite players practicing. This year the players went inside after practice. But Cade York was kind enough to come over and sign multiple autographs to make the kids happy. Thank you Cleveland Browns and Cade York for a wonderful afternoon. And Ticketmaster for the simplicity of getting tickets, storing them in my virtual wallet, reminders and entry to the event.

    Awesome Sports Event

    by DeAnna on 8/23/23

I took a group of young people on August 1 & August 20 and I was impressed with the location, facility and all they had to offer. The kids had a great time and I’m grateful for the Browns organization for putting it on.

    22 Tampa game

    by Frank on 8/11/23

Got to see TB12 from an aisle seat in row 26. Great view down the home team sideline, steps from concessions and restrooms. As a bonus, the fans sitting around me (from both teams) were all well behaved.

Fun but wet day at Browns practice.

    by TomS on 8/10/23

Driving to Berea I wondered if the rain would have the team practicing inside, but to my surprise the players were out practicing in the elements. Think the Browns did an excellent job of rotating the various units in front of those attending so the fans could get the full enjoyment from seeing their favorite players. Fun day in a wet environment that was thoroughly enjoyable. GO BROWNS!!!

    FANtastic!

    by Stormin Norman on 8/9/23

Well, I might be a little biased Because I consider myself a diehard Browns fan, but it is what it is. It was pretty cool, because I was able to get tickets this time without a hassle, ( pre-covid ) and able to go with a couple of buddies from work, and my youngest son. The atmosphere seemed so much better this time. There was alot to do, and the projected rain held off as well. Would have loved to get more tickets, and maybe another session, but I'll be grateful for what I got. I'm just pumped for this season. GO BROWNS!
