The Doobie Brothers were great warm ups, but this night belonged to the Eagles. They churned hit after hit. The crowd singing along to each song. Glenn Frey's son Deacon did a fantastic job on his father's songs. Made the hair on my neck stand up. Vince Gill is also a great add to this band. He fits perfectly. I highly recommend this show if it makes it to your town. It's worth every penny. Hands down one of the best concerts I've been to in my life
This concert was awesome! We had such a great time. Our seats were great and both bands sounded terrific. Good to hear all the old songs and good to know they haven't changed a thing. The addition of Vince Gill was tremendous. What a great voice! Love the fact that Safeco Field is opening up for these events, we love this place! Can't wait for more!
The best concert i have attended this year. Worth seeing/watching bands from the seventies perform flawlessly.
Doobie Bros. played 1.5 hrs and Eagles played over 2 hrs. They played all their great hits. Concert was almost perfect- only flaw was the drunk people in front of us stood for all but 3 songs, even after we asked multiple times for them to let us enjoy the view also. We didn’t expect them to sit all the time but- give me a break!
I was really looking forward to this concert and was not disappointed. I was completely taken by surprise when the Eagles announced that Vince Gill was performing with them (I was watching from the 300 level so didn't see him on stage at first), and Vince knocked it out of the park on every song he was lead on. Glenn Frey's son was also excellent, he sounded just like his dad. I was completely blown away when Joe Walsh came out and slayed the lead guitar part on one song. The music went another direction after that and it got even more awesome! It was the concert of the year in my opinion.
Concert featuring Eagles and Doobie Brothers- wow! Check 2 big items off my bucket list. Only downside were the drunks that kept blocking our view. We're done with this kind of concert, will look for more upscale events (no drunks.)
The Doobie Brothers and The Eagles were great! One of the best Eagles concerts I have seen, loved the strings and horns. However, after paying almost $650 for two seats I was EXTREMELY disappointed in the eats! They were jammed in so close together it was a very uncomfortable seating situation.... worse than airline seats if that's even possible!!! Cheap, flimsy plastice folding chairs??
Eagles gave the best concert ever. Almost 2 1/2 hours of great music.
The Doobie Brothers and Eagles were Amazing! Both bands have still "got it goin' on". I was singing away the entire night! Deacon Frey did an excellent job, I'm sure his Daddy was looking down and beaming with pride! Vince Gill, a fantastic addition. Can't say enough, the entire night was a blast!!!
Excellent show ! Doobie Brothers and The Eagles were a class act and put on one of the best concerts I have seen. would have preferred them playing at The Gorge which is the best venue around.
I missed seeing the Doobies in the 70's and regretted it ever since. The guys can still rock and the voices of Tom and Patrick still got it going on! The Eagles are second only to the Beatles in my book so this concert was an experience I will never forget! I have always respected bands with multiples lead vocals, multiple writers, and multiples front men...and the boys did not let me down in any of those areas. Harmonies extraordinaire...right up there with Brian Wilson arrangements and of course the Beatles. Don...one day I'd like to sing a duet with you.....maybe If I Fell....I'll take John's part, thank you!
Loved the Doobie Brothers! Tom Johnston's powerhouse vocals perfectly pitched, and his energy was contagious with the almost too perfect backing harmonies. We sat in the front so the sound was great, felt the drums vibrating in my chest, and it was awesome to see all the details I miss from sitting so far away, like the band banter and changing of guitars. This is my fifth Eagles concert since they got back together, and I must say this is the freshest I've seen them. As much as I love Glen Frey, I've always felt they played too safe, too perfect. The addition of Vince Gill and Deacon Frey gave the Eagles much need levity. Although, their voices are all aging, they still sound amazing. And seeing Joe Walsh wearing his old iconic 70's mustache was cool. At first, I was blown away with the power of Joe's vocals, and wondered how a guy in his 70's could still sing that good, that is until heard his voice singing before he made it back the mike. I think the Eagles may be guilty of using backing tracks and mike enhancements like the younger bands do. I don't fault them for it, since they're getting older, but I think they're hypocrites for calling other musicians out on it.
This was my 5th time seeing Eagles, the second since Glenn's passing. They still sound great. Looking forward to them coming to CA again. Hope it happens! Second time seeing the Doobies. They sounded good too. The only drawback was that Michael McDonald didn't come back for the Classic concerts.
Both the Doobie Brothers and the Eagles played great and it was a fantastic show. BUT, the PA was terrible. The low end was very muddy. Vocals were very hard to understand. Some instruments were not in the mix or at such a low level, they hardly could be heard. The musician's played their hearts out and the sound crew ruined it. We saw Tom Petty (RIP) just 5 weeks ago and Tom's PA was album perfect - clear as a bell - so it was not the venue, just a bad sound crew/PA equipment.
The Doobie Brothers were good, sounded good. The Eagles were amazing. Vince Gill and Glenn Frey's son fit in perfectly. Their harmonies were spot on. The band interacted with crowd well and seem appreciative. Joe Walsh looked like he was having a blast, as usual. These guys just get better with age. I have seen the Eagles 4 times and this was my favorite! Thank you, Eagles. Hope to see you again some day.
Concert was great!! VIP lounge food was average at best. Bartenders overwhelmed. Physical seats in VIP area were EXTREMELY small. Smaller than coach in an airplane. Regular stadium seats would have been much better/comfortable & not cramped. Very little room between rows for movement.
Fantastic show one of the best I have seen lately also it was nice bottled water could be left in bottles after being bought and not poured in cups.
I am so happy I bought those tickets! The entire show was absolutely amazing!!
Awesome concert, good venue. I've seen both groups before...nice surprise to have Decon Frye and Vince Gill join the band!
